Abstract: Urban non-motorized transportation is the walking and cycling transportation. With the speeding up of China's urbanization, there is a rapidly increasing number of motor vehicles and the illegal parking phenomenon is serious, the space of pedestrians and cyclists is squeezed, the accidents of pedestrian and rider are increasing. Pedestrian and rider are suffered in inconvenience. This paper discusses the advantages of non-motorized transportation which is including environmental value, social value and aesthetic value. This article draws lessons from recent research and provides the human-oriented strategy of Chinese non-motorized transportation which includes the reasonable layout of city transportation network, detailed division and diversified pattern of land use,the safety transportation infrastructure, the high quality environment of the street and the public policy to promote non-motorized transportation.

Abstract: Resort compound is a new stage of transformation and upgrading of tourism project. It’s high time to take an urgent measure to strengthen the research. According to the compilation and analysis of concept planning of Degang Resort in Feilai of Qingyuan City, we can draw a conclusion: the industrial spatial layout of optimal allocation, the holiday theme with distinctive characteristics, the humanities combining Geographical characteristics, the market-oriented means with characteristic management and cheap facilities with efficient activities are planning features on the Degang holiday project, which play a positive guiding role in the similar resort planning .

Abstract: This paper provided an overview that the city should be designed from the functional, connectivity, accessibility and other aspects of the city considering the current situation of obsolete facility and out of order around the Shanghai West Railway Station. It emphasized that the resources of Shanghai West Railway Station’s Zhenru area shall be integrated while the Zhenru center of Shanghai in Caoyang-street and the railway cargo terminal should be built. It proposed that the city should put emphasize on the development of modern logistics industry along with the construction of business office area, large-scale logistics enterprises gather, hotel service area and low density of cultural facilities.

Abstract: Cultural center of a city is mainly composed of large or important cultural facilities and institutions, whose development has a close connection with the construction and future of the city. In this paper, by analyzing the influence that the cultural center has on the development of the city and researching design practice of domestic and foreign cultural centers. Attempting from programming point of view, we can demonstrate an excellent main idea and method of cultural center planning and design which is praised by urban residents, meanwhile clear an urban planner’s design content in cultural center planning and design. Through the planning and design of Shenyang cultural center project analysis, we can provide some reference and experience to the planning and design alike of cultural center.

Abstract: Urban design is widely applied as means of guiding the urban space, a kind of research topic, and also a kind of developing strategy. Concerning with operation strategy and technique, minute research still sticks in the status of theoretic discussion. The author will theoretically analyze a domestic real case-urban public space of Riverside District by the scattered minute city center, the process of which has revealed some similar characters with the urban design process theory. This effort, though not to great extent, will contribute to the research realm relating to urban design implementation, which is still in exploration so far.

Abstract: The protection and development of traditional architectural culture and traditional feature area in the process of city renewal is a problem requires prompt solution in the trend of urban construction in China. Different cities have different architectural features. How to extend original urban architectural culture and protect the traditions and features of local architectural culture has become an important subject. This article will take the reconstruction and extension project of Hangzhou Jianlan Middle School as an example to analyze and discuss this subject and propose a practical urban renewal plan with extension of urban architectural culture as orientation.

Abstract: Green space system within a built-up area is very important to provide an ecological and livable environment. The green patches originally locate in rural-urban fringes is of contribution to the system, with the dynamics of patches controlled by urban planning. In this study, based on the analysis of the features about green patches in fringe in their types, dynamics, and potentials, it is argued that the green patches in fringe, always under a dynamic status, can be classified to three types with dissimilar ecological attributes and function; and they have much more potentials to improve the green space system of an extended built-up area. It is also suggested to constitute a set of planning mechanics to optimize the urban green space system aiming to effectively use these green patches. After some planning principles proposed, a supplemental planning method has been put forward, so as to provide an applied planning tool.

Abstract: By investigating and analyzing the spatial distribution of Xuzhou’s aging population, this paper researches the correlation between the aging of community space and the aging of population, and analyzes the underlying causes and the relevant influencing factors. The research findings indicate that, the aging of community space and the aging of population present an obvious linear correlation and the factors influencing the degree of such correlation include the age and unit type of community buildings, community environment, community location, public service facilities, etc. Besides, it is also found that the two are overlapping and heterogeneous in terms of urban space, which has a profound effect on urban development and future urban planning, but the solution still requires further exploration.

Abstract: The development and utilization of complex underground space is an important way to establish the comprehensive transportation system and city disaster prevention space system in modern city. It is also one of the most important methods for building modern city infrastructure construction. This paper takes the city underground urban complex construction as the research object, studies the proper schematic of underground urban complex in core area of coastal city. The approach of making ground space into the underground approach in Qinhuangdao City is proposed. The target is to alleviate the city center area and create a good urban landscape.

Abstract: This document analyses the constructive idea of urban land expansion evaluation index with the restraints of ecological environment security. The method of combining objective with cause and effect is been used to select the urban land expansion evaluation index on the basis of following the scientific, representative, operational and applicable principle. The urban land expansion evaluation index constituting the target layer (A), the criterion layer (B), the element layer (C) and the index layer (D) four levels is been proposed. Among them the criterion layer is composed of city economic factors (B1), social factors (B2), eco-environmental factors (B3) and urban land use factors (B4) four aspects. Every criterion layer is reflected by eight element layers. Every element layer constitutes each index layer which could be decomposed into 26 specific indexes.
