Abstract: Mountain land is a key region of both ecological environment construction and city distribution in China, which is a mountainous country. Mountainous city has unique spatial forms, of which the valley-type is the most important manifestation. Due to the special topography features of valley city, many environmental and spatial development issues have been found in the process of modern valley city construction. In this paper, the urban spatial form of valley city was analyzed and the development disciplines of whole spatial morphology were summarized.

Abstract: The strategic urban planning theory and practice appears at the end of the 20th century, which primarily attempts to solve the downtown problems such as economy depression, traffic inconvenient and Infrastructure shortage. This paper takes Hong Kong Metroplan as example in the view of historical and empirical study to analyze the purpose, function and process of strategic urban planning, which refers to several issues such as land-use planning, environmental planning, urban planning review and public participation. It sums up the experience of strategic urban planning in Hong Kong to provide the reference for present rapid urbanization in China.

Abstract: Take the project of farmers’ settlements in ShanNan District of HuaiNan City for instance, through analysis of the city, the project provided reasonable design and arrangement of settlements in order to reduce the conflicts between urbanization and the needs of rural people, including mental belongings, tradition habits, jobs, and utilization of farm land. And finally, this project aimed to build a harmonious relationship between the needs of farmers and city development.

Abstract: Built on the urban principles, Cetinje, as the royal capital of Montenegro untill 1914, for forty years of intensive develop ment and construction has achieved the urban functional content, which has made it closer to the developed European capitals. Its town-construction has been developing during this period depending on the development of social forces, which led internal and foreign policy of the state and sought that the stability and reputation of the state affect through the development and image of Cetinje, as its capital. This work includes urban and architectural development of Cetinje from XV century until World War II.
