Abstract: Outdoor activity spaces become more and more important as the size of urban residential areas keeps growing due to quickened urbanization. Urban parks and open spaces are major places for residents nearby to enjoy physical exercises and leisure activities. Landscape planners nowadays confront a prominent task as how to create quality activity spaces in urban parks neighboring residential areas. In this paper, part of the Yuan Dynasty City Wall Relics Park next to Guodian Huayuan, a typical residential area in Beijing, is chosen as the object of study for on-spot survey based on theories and methods of environment-behavior studies. Users, periods, behaviors are categorized and activities of such users during different periods are recorded in details by means of counting, photographing and dotting. With such data, in-depth analysis is conducted as how the place is used and what are the spatial identities so as to render reference material for designing activity spaces in urban parks neighboring residential areas.

Abstract: Residential area is the place which is closely relationship with our daily life, the landscape design of residential area must not only meet people's physiological needs, but also meet the the psychological needs of people of different regions, different classes and different ages. That is to say, the humanized design residential area are required to be people-oriented, and to meet people's needs from the material and spiritual, physical and psychological aspects and to create a safe, comfortable and pleasant living space. When conducting the residential landscape art design, ecology, rich spiritual nourishment and cultural value should be taken into consideration.

Abstract: As the city road system maturing, it is hard to meet people's requirements that roads with single-purpose only to travel which resulting road landscape design. Relying on urban roads road landscape to beautify the urban environment, improve the urban environment and reduce dust for the purpose of solving the multifaceted problems. Plant landscape design to create of green forests space which people eager to have, at the same time, it can improve urban air quality. Through the selection and overall landscape design analysis and discussion of plant in Shenyang Hunnan landscape Avenue, Showing that the view of plant design can be rich application in Shenyang Hunnan Avenue design.

Abstract: As a factor of landscape design, the waterscape plays key roles in the landscape from the ancient times till nowadays.Today the garden design development has been popularization. The design concepts of the east and the west has also compromised gradually, in this special times, the studies on the development of garden waterscape in the east and the west have epoch making significance. Studying from the patterns and the engineering techniques of the garden waterscape, We summarize several common types of waterscape in gardens and compare the corresponding types in the east and west countries.

Abstract: Carbon footprint calculation has important guiding significance to carbon emission reduction, especially the carbon footprint research of landscape engineering based on life cycle analysis fully reflects the whole condition of carbon emission in the construction process and effectively guide the whole process conducted with low-carbon. This essay preliminarily analyzes the condition of carbon footprint of life cycle in the construction project of landscape engineering, provides corresponding calculating boundary and calculating method for four stages--planning and design, construction, maintenance management and refurbishment and demolition, and proposes to pay attention to reduce hidden carbon footprint in the stage of planning and design and construction management. The explicit carbon footprint is supposed be reduced in the stage of construction and maintenance management through comprehensive coordination and reasonable material selection. Finally, try to estimate detailed carbon footprint by combining with the project case of unoccupied space landscape engineering of Wuhan Optics Valley Road, which aims at discussing calculating method and parameter of carbon footprint of specific landscape engineering, knowing the condition of carbon emission of each process and providing reference for relevant construction to reduce carbon footprint more effectively in future.

Therefore, this study focuses on regional characteristics of city streetscape design, discusses how to manifest characteristics of cities, promoting local culture, rebuild a city charm. The restoration of the city streetscape local culture has a very important practical significance.

Abstract: South-Fujian is one of the most famous hometowns for overseas Chinese. Lu Cuo is the most significant landscape architecture of the South-Fujian. The development of Lu Cuo is a struggle history of South-Fujianese. Locating in the center of the city, Lu Cuo has faced the danger of being destroyed as many of valuable Cuo. This study investigated landscape features of Lu Cuo, including the arcade, dovetail roof ridge, red brick, and exquisite carvings. The results showed that Lu Cuo is the pluralistic coexistence with Chinese and Western architectural styles. Therefore, the study suggests that cultural vale and physical value are importance for preserving and managing Lu Cuo and its surrounding area.
