Abstract: An experiment setup was built to test the droplet separation performance of demister. Different experiments were conducted using various Polytetrafluoroethene (PTFE) meshes. Results show that the separation efficiency of demister is dependent on screen thickness, mesh count. Pressure drop increases with the increase of steam flow rate and screen thickness.

Abstract: To explore the effects of Perilla frutescens leaf total flavonoid (PFF) on regulating the serum level of lipids, enzymes of lipoprotein metabolism and antioxidation in the hyperlipidemia rats. 50 healthy SD rats were divided into 5 groups randomly according to the serum TC: hyperlipidemia model group, high dose group of PFF, medium dose group of PFF, low dose group of PFF, and lovastatin treatment positive control group. Serum lipoprotein level, lipoprotein lipase (LPL), hepatic lipase (HL),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were tested after treated with corresponding drugs once per day for 4weeks. Compared with the model group, the levels of the serum TC, TG, LDL-C, and MDA decreased significantly, while HDL-C, LPL, HL and SOD increased significantly (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The lipid metabolic disorder in hyperlipidemia rats was improved notably through the treatment with PFF, indicating that the PFF plays an important role in decreasing lipids.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the procedure parameters, including drying, extracting and pH on the antioxidant activity and antioxidative compounds in Perilla frutescens leaves. The extraction of antioxidants from Perilla frutescens leaves is studied considering different drying and extracting procedures to investigate the selectivity of the process. The radical-scavenging activity (RSA) of 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and the determination of the total phenolic content are applied to evaluate the antioxidant activity and antioxidative compounds of the Perilla frutescens leave extracts. The highest antioxidant activity is observed for the extract obtained by freeze drying, extracting by ultrasound with 80% methanol adjusted at pH 4.The antioxidant compound extraction yield was also the highest at these extraction conditions. The total phenol contents among the Perilla frutescens leave extracts produced by different drying procedures were similar, while the antioxidant activities were different This concluding that the amount of phenolic compounds extracted was similar but the type and probable structure of the phenolic changed during heat-drying procedure providing in this way. Our study showed that proper process technology could ultimately extract compounds potentially effective against diseases related to free radical oxidation.

Abstract: The antioxidant activities of extracts and residuum of Perillafrutescens fruits from supercritical CO2 extraction were determined in vitro. The residuum was extracted in turn with water, propyl alcohol and ethyl acetate. The antioxidant activities of the extracts were assayed with antioxidant capacity in linoleic acid model system, reducing powers, radical scavenging activity using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhy-drazyl (DPPH) method. The results show that the ethyl acetate extract of Perillafrutescens possesses strongest DPPH radical scavenging activity and reducing power in a concentration-dependent manner.

Abstract: A novel method for the determination of rhodium in rhodium octanoate organic waste liquid samples was established by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry after samples digested by Teflon pressure digestion vessel with aqua regia. Such experiment conditions were investigated as the influence of sample dissolution methods, digestion time, digestion temperature and interfering ions on the determination. Under the optimized conditions, the linear range of calibration graph for Rh was 0 ~ 150.00 mg L-1, and the recovery was 96.20% ~ 102.36%. The relative standard deviation (RSDs) for Rh was 1.75 %. The proposed method was applied to determine the same samples with atomic absorption spectrometry with the results consistently, which is suitable for the determination of rhodium in rhodium octanoate organic waste liquid samples.

Abstract: The surface of polypropylene (PP) fiber was modified through grafting polymerization of butyl acrylate, lauryl acrylate, methacrylate acetate, ethyl acrylate, butyl methacrylate initiated by ultraviolet (UV) in isopropanol/water mixture solution. In this paper, the factors influenced the separation performance of ethanol/water were discussed by grafted fiber, such as the solid-liquid ratio, the time of adsorption and oscillation, and the content of ethanol were discussed. The optimum adsorption conditions: the ethanol concentration of 90%,olid-liquid ratio is 1:80, when the handing time and adsorption shock time reached 10s, the adsorption could reach better effect.

Abstract: The corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel with quinoline inhibitor in NACE solution (CO2 environment) at different temperature/different pH/different inhibitor volume fraction was researched using electrochemical test methods. The results show that as the temperature increases from 30°C to 50°C, CO2 corrosion of X80 pipeline steel becomes much severer and the inhibition efficiency decreases first and then increases. As the pH increases from 4.15 to 5.76, the inhibition efficiency increases. When the volume fraction of inhibitor ranges from 2% to 4%, the inhibition efficiency increases, and particularly this is more obvious from 2% to 3%.

Abstract: This paper introduces the research on the beneficiation of a low-grade barite ore taken from Myanmar.Through the analysis of the ore properties and research on the flotation experiment, the optimum flotation conditions are determinedwhile the ore sample assays 64.32% BaSO4.Under the flotation conditions of the grinding fineness-200 meshes 80%, sodium oleate 800g / t and sodium silicate 500 g / t, “two-time roughing, one closed cleaningand open in the second cleaning operations” is applied, and two marketable barite concentrates can be obtained. The concentrate 1 and 2 contain 96.32% and 91.26%BaSO4 at the recoveries of 91.94% and 5.25%, respectively.

Abstract: A novel method for the determination of palladium in palladium-loaded carbon catalyst samples was established by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry after samples digested by microwave oven with aqua regia. Such experiment conditions were investigated as the influence of sample digestion methods, digestion time, digestion temperature and interfering ions on the determination. Under the optimized conditions, the linear range of calibration graph for Pd was 0 ~ 250.00 mg L-1, and the recovery was 97.89% ~ 102.00%. The relative standard deviation (RSDs) for Pd was 1.93 %. The proposed method was applied to determine the same samples with atomic absorption spectrometry with the results consistently, which is suitable for the determination of palladium in palladium-loaded carbon catalyst samples.

Abstract: Corn is one of the world's three major grain crops, corn harvest is an important way to improve the yield of corn, and threshing is an important post-harvest. Therefore, the study of threshing corn ear is particularly important. This article is to find the best threshing moisture of corn ear and the method of reducing the loss of kernels damaged, experiment on Xun Dan 20 and Ning Yu 524 two varieties of corn ear kernels are carried out, arrange in the order interval, and different varieties of seed corn ear conducted bare hand threshing test in different moisture content. Then MATLAB software for data processing and analysis, obtain the effect of moisture on the threshing of corn ear. The conclusions shows that, whether corn ear in which moisture content, the contact force needed on the initial part of threshing ear kernel is larger than the terminal part of the threshing ear kernel. In contrast, the threshing rate on the terminal part of the threshing ear kernel is larger than the initial part of threshing ear kernel in the threshing rate. Too low or too high moisture content is not easy to threshing corn ear, the ear is suitable for threshing kernel when the moisture content of ear kernel at 12%~18%.Ear varieties has a great influence on threshing contact force needed.
