Abstract: The long term dynamic relation between economic growth and environment pollution is analyzed by using co-integration analysis and granger causality test, generalized impulse response function and variance decomposition method in Jiangsu Province based on the VAR model, and the related data of Environment pollution and GDP indices are from 1982 to 2012. The results indicate that economic growth to environmental pollution is positive and persistent, but that of environmental policy is negative and weak. This conclusion can provide a great reference value for promoting sustainable economic development and formulating relevant environmental policy for Jiangsu Province. the existence of Kuznets inverted U shaped curve for economic growth and environmental pollution depends on the data from different regions and different indexes measuring the levels of environmental pollution.

Abstract: To achieve sustainable development of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry we should focus on coordination of resource utilization and environmental protection and carry out utilization of waste as resources in the course of industrialization of TCM resources. The author analyzes the production of waste and the practical significance of waste utilization as resources in the industrialization. Economic analysis is on utilization of waste as resources with four economics principles of cyclic economy, public goods, theory of externality and theory of property right. The analysis provides theoretical basis, causes and a solution to change waste of TCM into resources.

Abstract: Previous researches on remanufacturer behavior in the supply chain only considered that the products were transferred between the OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) and remanufacturer. This paper is a comparative study of the impact of different remanufacturing models on technology transfer in remanufacturing market. Our results showed that when the waiting time of consumers was zero, the proportion of technology transfer under BR model (buyback and remanufacturing model) is higher than that under ER model (Entrusting and remanufacturing model). When the waiting time of consumer was not zero, the characteristic of technology transfer depends on the license fee, the cost of waiting time, the cost of collecting and remanufacturing. In this paper, through mathematical simulation, the influences of waiting time and lead time on the decisions of OEM and the remanufacturer are discussed.

Abstract: The development of circular economy is an important way to sustainable human development. The SMEs can use the mode of circular economy to improve their competitiveness. Through the analysis symbiotic relationship between small and medium enterprises, the development environment for SMEs, and the system which SMEs in, we found that SMEs can innovate organizational structure, organizational processes, organizational culture based on circular economy. The SMEs may be change their survival and development if they innovate the companies’ organization from these three aspects.

Abstract: Agricultural eco-economy has developed slowly due to lack of advanced technologies in China. Technological innovation should become the internal demand of the development of agricultural eco-economy. In this paper, based on the status quo of China’s agricultural development, advanced technologies for the development of agricultural eco-economy including conservation of resource, circular economy, green economy, the measures of system coordination and the assessment of ecological benefits are discussed. It is to point out that resolving these problems should promote progress of agricultural eco-economy and sustainable agriculture.

Abstract: With the development of low carbon economy, there is increasing interest in integrating the idea of low carbon into rural life and agricultural ecosystem. Determination of the main carbon sources from agricultural ecological system is an important basic work to reduce carbon emissions and construct the low carbon new countryside. In this paper seven towns surrounding Yuqiao Reservoir as investigation objects were used to determine the main carbon sources. It has been found that land respiration is the main carbon emission sources of agriculture ecosystem through calculation and analysis. Carbon emissions produced by the land respiration account for 51.68% of the total emission, followed by carbon emissions generated by the rural life, which account for 42.37% of the total emission. Control of land planting structure and use of low carbon new energy are the main direction of rural carbon emission reduction in the future.

Abstract: LMDI (Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index) was used to estimates the carbon emission of industrial energy consumption in Hunan Province with collected data on industrial energy consumption in 2000-2012. The results showed that carbon emissions of industrial energy consumption present the overall upward trend in Hubei Province, where the carbon emissions of coal consumption are the main factors, this shows that the industry of Hubei is extensive development withhigh energy consumption. In addition, industrial carbon intensity has a fluctuated downward trend in 2011-2012; this shows that Hubei province has made a positive change on control carbon emissions of energy consumption.

Abstract: Based on Nordhaus’ classic marginal abatement cost form, and the marginal abatement cost curve (MACC) for China calculated by EPPA model, this paper obtains the optimal CO2 abatement allocation among different provinces in China with a minimum total abatement cost. In order to verify the effectiveness of the allocation scheme, we also consider the allocation program of carbon dioxide emissions reduction in population, GDP, and energy consumption, and the result shows that the optimal allocation we propose is the most cost-effective.

Abstract: As the energy and environmental crisis intensifies, controlling total carbon emission in electric power industry has been an important way to achieve the goals of energy conservation and emission reduction. Beijing and Tianjin have lanched carbon trading pilot successively. As a part of the co-ordination, it’s imperative for Jibei to join carbon trading. Controlling the total carbon emission can’t be separated with making carbon initial quota, which will certainly influence generating capacity of generating enterprises in Jibei. Consequently, Jibei grid should purchase more clean electricity in outside province. Firstly, common methods of carbon quota distribution have been introduced in this paper and three scenes of carbon emission reduction have been set. Then, generating capacity in Jibei has been calculated in three scenes, and the influence of purchasing power in outside province on Jibei grid has been analyzed. Result shows that Benchmarking and target constraint are both feasible and allocation scheme can be chosen reasonably based on the actual situation.

Abstract: This paper provides a characterization of the electrical energy consumption of agrifood industries located in the central region of Portugal that use refrigeration systems to ensure the food safety. The study is based on the result analysis of survey data and energy characteristics of the participating companies belonging to the following agrifood sectors: meat, dairy, horticultural, distribution and wine. Through the quantification of energy consumption of companies is possible to determine the amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions indexed to its manufacturing process. Comparing the energy and GHGs emissions indexes of companies of a sector and between sectors is possible to create reference levels. With the results of this work is possible to rating the companies in relation to reference levels of energy and GHGs emissions and thus promote the rational use of energy by the application of practice measures for the improvement of the energy efficiency and the reduction of GHGs emissions.
