The recent developments in the area of Mechanical Engineering Design is very encouraging and this book by results of International Conference on Mechanical Engineering Design (ICMED 2016, Chennai, TamilNadu, India, April 25-26, 2016) will provide an effective medium for the dissemination of recent advances and original works of industry professionals, academicians and research scholars from around the globe in Mechanical Engineering Design and its impact on the components manufacturing process in an integrated, highly focused and coherent format.
We hope that the outcomes of this book will help in different working situations, bridge research and practice and respond positively to emerging issues in various mechanical engineering designs.
In present book collected papers by results of researches which were presented on the conference “The 6th RMUTP International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development: Current Challenges towards Creative and Green Economy”. The conference topic was with emphasizing on use of ideas of the sustainable development and green growth in research and engineering solutions for creating of innovative technologies in area of sustainability engineering, textiles and clothing industry, education and industrial engineering.
The collected articles well reflect the latest progress made in some emerging areas of computational mechanics, including finite element method, finite volume method, meshless method, atomic and multiscale modelling method, structural and solid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, geomechanics, computational biomechanics, structural and topology optimization, fracture and damage mechanics, and vibration and dynamics.
ICRMCE (International Conference on Rehabilitation and Maintenance in Civil Engineering) is a triennial event started since 2009 to provide a forum for researchers, academicians (lecturers and students), government agencies, consultants and contractors to exchange experiences, technological advancement and innovation related to materials and technologies in construction, methods and techniques of rehabilitation and maintenance of buildings, earthquake resistance of structures and buildings, transportation engineering and project management in modern construction. The 3rd ICRMCE was hosted by the Civil Engineering Department, Sebelas Maret University on 19-21 November 2015 in Solo (Surakarta), Indonesia. The papers presented in this conference discussed various aspects that contribute to the development of sustainable technologies in creation of the civil infrastructures.
