Abstract: This paper introduces a sustainability assessment tool for façade cladding. This tool bases its evaluation on the economic and environmental properties of the materials. Normally, in the project process and later construction it will be difficult to assume the price and time of doing a life-cycle assessment (LCA) for each material and building system. Because of this, and until the environmental product declarations (EPD) are more used, this tool will give quick and easily enough arguments to select, according to its sustainability, the ideal façade cladding.

Abstract: Improper waste disposal will affect the travel experience of tourists , endanger human health. This paper demonstrats the definition of travel rubbish,the system of source classification, the classification system of physical and chemical properties, the system classification of collection and transfer system, treatment and disposal methods, the grade division of disposal scale and so on ,which has a good guidance to the management of travel rubbish.

Abstract: With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization in China, whether the abandoned industrial land can be reused has become the focus of land planning. So soil environmental quality assessment on the abandoned land is necessary. In this paper, the land of a discarded chemical plant in Chongqing, China was chosen as the study object. The concentrations of heavy metal were studied. Single Factor Pollution Index (SFPI) and Integral Pollution Index (IPI) were applied to assess the degree of soil pollution. The results revealed that the abandoned industrial soil in this work was slight polluted and could only be planned for the 2nd type of land utilization, including green land, commercial land, public facilities land, etc.

Abstract: The soil heavy metal pollution have be paid more attention because the sources of soil heavy metals become multiple and complicated with the accelerated urbanization. According to this research, the order of spatial distribution of soil heavy metal Cu, Zn and Cd pollution in Beijing shows that: the center district > suburb > outer suburb. The soil pollution by Zn is more serious in Beijing and the grade of the soil Zn pollution has reached highest in the central district. By comparison, the soil pollution by Cu and Cd is slight, the soil in central district, Chaoyang, Changping and Miyun has caught light Cu pollution, and only in center district, Chaoyang and Fengtai has caught light Cd pollution.

Abstract: Resources environmental carrying capacity has increasingly become an explicit aim of transport planning and policy making at local, national and international levels. Resources environmental carrying capacity indicator selection method has been proposed based on the resources environmental problem identification in this paper, and combining with the PSR and CSR model. That method makes the selection of indicator more targeted and reasonable.

Abstract: This study is focus on the performance Credit rating system of corporate environmental behavior in Hangzhou. By doing statistical summaries and comparison of rating results of corporate environmental behavior from 2007 to 2010, most firms covered in this rating system in Hangzhou were behaving good or ordinarily toward environment. Corporate covered in the rating system show ineffective performance on promoting their environmental behavior by analyzing their rating results during four years. Some correlation has been found when study the variation of rating results and the pollution issues happened in Hangzhou. A dynamic management of the rating results and environmental behavior label system are recommended for further study and development.

Abstract: Harmonious degree of regional system is an important criterion for the sustainable development evaluation. This paper set a case of Wu’an city in Hebei province, based on emergy theory and ecological footprint theory, constructed the indices system and mathematical models for harmonious degree evaluation, and analyzed the harmonious degree among recourse, environment and economy sub-systems during 1997-2006. According to the analysis, the harmonious degree was low and had a large fluctuation during this period, and the balance of development should be further improved. Based on the results, the paper advanced some relevant recommendations from the aspects of three sub-systems.

Abstract: The differences of the regional ecosystem service value (ESV) in time and space are an important symbol to reflect the health of the ecosystem. Based on the theory and method of ESV, take Fengnan district as an example, and the paper analyzes the change of ESV from 1998 to 2009, evaluates the temporal and spatial differences among the 15 towns, and compares the relationship between ESV change and economic development. The results are the ESV of Fengnan is in a declining trend during the period. According to the ESV variation of the towns, Fengnan district is divided into four zones: value-added area, low consumption area, middle consumption area, high consumption area. The economic development has a great negative impact to the ESV in Fengnan. In order to protect the coordinated development of economy and ecosystem, some proper measures should be carried out, such as transforming the economic development mode, using land resources intensively, protecting and restoring the ecological areas.

Abstract: In this paper, the research start with two important parameters in the balance of factors and yield factors applied the ecological footprint model, select Beijing Fangshan, Pinggu and Yanqing as a research object, use the "Beijing Statistical Yearbook .2009" and the Beijing Municipal Land resources provided by the literature survey data to calculate the balance in Beijing's various land factor and Fangshan, Pinggu, Yanqing various types of land yield factor, and for the Beijing urbanization ecological carrying capacity guarantee.

Abstract: This article was based on Beijing urban garbage collection and disposal methods, namely, vehicle transport, landfill, composting and incineration, etc. According to garbage collection and processing methods and combining with the 2006 IPCC internationally cognition and greenhouse gas calculation that related scholars studied, ecological footprint calculation of Beijing's urban domestic garbage was summarized and developed, thus laid foundation for the study of Beijing urban ecological carrying capacity.
