Abstract: The conception and study status of ecological footprint of water resource were summarized and the research of two ecological footprint model parameters, ie equilibrium factors and yield factors were analyzed and compared. On this basis, the calculation of ecological footprint model parameters of the Beijing urban water resources, ie balance factor and yield factor were proposed. Water balance factors of Beijing urban water resources and water yield per unit area and water yield factor of Beijing Fangshan, Pinggu, Yanqing were calculated, thus provide reference for appraisal of ecological carrying capacity of Beijing urban water resources.

Abstract: VAV (variable air volume) system is a kind of all-air air conditioning system that adjusts indoor temperature by adjusting the supply air volume. This paper builds the mathematical model of supply air temperature of VAV using the step response method, and simulates the model with pure time delay according to PID parameters tuning based on BP (back propagation) neural network, and compares the simulation results with that based on traditional PID, which shows the control effect is superior to traditional PID.

Abstract: Sustainable development has gained an increasing importance in the past thirty years. With the guidance of sustainable development strategy, a great amount of research studies have been conducted in the fields of urban planning, architecture and civil engineering. The works especially focusing on sustainable urban planning, green building design, and the buildings with self-healing deformation capability are reviewed in this paper. The objective is to provide references for practitioners such as urban designers, architects and engineers seeking some clarity on sustainability.

Abstract: Two laboratory scale constructed wetlands were designed as horizon subsurface flow constructed wetland (HFCW) and vertical flow constructed wetland (VFCW) and were utilized to study the treatment capacity to reduce nitrogen. According to different inflow concentration and height of water surface, HFCW was analyzed in two operational modes and VFCW in four operational modes. The semi-submerged VFCW had the best capacity to remove nitrogen and the total nitrogen removal rate reached to 92% and the removal rate of HFCW was 90%. Moreover, the un-submerged VFCW could reduce 93% ammonia but nitrate removal rate just was 9%. And the removal rates of NH4+-N, NO3--N and TN respectively were 85%, 80% and 81% in submerged VFCW.

Abstract: LEED-NC is a green building rating system for new construction developed by USGBC. Since it’s born in1998, LEED-NC has become the most famous green building rating system and made a big success in market expanding. Many other countries, including China, not only use experience of LEED-NC for reference to their own green building rating criterions construction, but also participate in the LEED-NC certification directly. But, as a green building rating system, one of it’s primary objective is to make clear what is the biggest problem in sustainable process. Since 1970’s oil crisis, resource shortage has become a common problem hindering the social and economic development of all countries and districts. Any green building rating system can’t avoid this reality. Using method of “example points+baseline point”, this article makes points statistics of “Energy & Atmosphere” category and it’s inner credits relevant to building energy saving. Finally, we verify LEED-NC’s performance in energy saving is not so good as people’s expectation. When using experience of LEED-NC for reference to our own green building rating criterion construction, we must be very cautiously. And when participating in LEED-NC certification directly, we must keep a conscious mind.

Abstract: Because of short of energy consumption quota and its formulating methods, the paper analyzes the reasonable evaluation indicator and presents three formulating methods based on conventional statistical methods for hospitals according to the energy audit of hospitals in Wuhan. Then, it discusses the benefit and the drawback of the methods respectively and make a comprehensive comparison from difficulty , acceptability, scientificity and feasibility. Finally, it concludes that the method in accordance with bed ranges is more feasible, then gives the value of corresponding quota.

Abstract: The sustainable development of the Northern Shaanxi area has been severely restricted by the increasingly serious issue of the environmental pollution and ecological destruction in the energy and chemical industry base there. Regarding this problem in the energy and chemical industry base in Northern Shaanxi, this paper explored the eco-compensation mode, established the model for the quantification of the compensation fee, and constituted the eco-compensation standard for each county within the base area. Through the establishment of the eco-compensation mechanism, the conflict between the energy development and ecological environment protection could get alleviated, the natural resource could get moderate and sustainable developed, and the ecological environment could sustainably get back and obtain melioration, all of which will facilitate the realization of the sustainable development of the energy and chemical industry base in Northern Shaanxi.

Abstract: The hybrid system of solar energy and geothermal heat pump (GHP) can put the advantages of the two renewable energy sources together and make up the deficiencies of each other. The concept and the development of the hybrid system are introduced; the work principle and the operational mode of the system are analyzed. Through the introduction of two instances, this paper analyzes the way of the system in buildings and the saving potential applying the hybrid system.

Abstract: Aim at the current situation of high energy-consumption of the large public building,proposed a WebAccess–based energy-consumption management and energy-saving analysis system.And it be used Zigbee distributed energy consumption measurement net for data remote transmission. The status of energy consumption in the future can be predicted through energy-consumption databases and energy-consumption models were built. The system can real time monitor and manage the energy-consumption status in large public constructions. It can provide a favorable foundation not only for energy conservation and reformation of those completed large public building, but also for energy conserved operation and supervision of those new constructions. This can help to achieve the goal of energy conservation and energy-consumption reduction in large public building.
