Abstract: Wet gas flow is a typical two-phase flow with low liquid fractions. As differential pressure signal contains rich information of flow parameters in two-phase flow metering, a new method is proposed for wet gas flow metering based on differential pressure (DP) and blind source separation (BSS) techniques. DP signals are from a couple of slotted orifices and the BSS method is based on time-frequency analysis. A good relationship between the liquid flow rate and the characteristic quantity of the separated signal is established, and a differential pressure correlation for slotted orifice is applied to calculate the gas flow rate. The calculation results are good with 90% relative errors less than ±10%. The results also show that BSS is an effective method to extract liquid flow rate from DP signals of wet gas flow, and to analysis different interactions among the total DP readings.

Abstract: According to fault characteristics of wind turbine gearbox, an On-line Monitoring System of wind turbine gearbox based on the undecimated discrete wavelet transformation was developed. Measured the vibration signal of gear fault in the laboratory, The signal after undecimated wavelet transformation can be more accurate and clear display characteristics, which was conducive to diagnose gear failure quickly and effectively.

Abstract: This paper presents a stator flux estimation method based on duty cycles of inverter switching. The stator flux is calculated by integrating the back electromotive force, which is the terminal voltage minus the voltage drop on the stator resistance. The terminal voltage mentioned above is calculated by the duty cycles of inverter switching and dc link voltage, while the duty cycles is derived in the digital control system of induction motor based on the DSP. Without employing voltage sensors to measure phase voltage, the proposed flux estimation method is cost effective and error reducing. The method is also effective in fault-tolerant operation when the motor works with two phases. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract: In this paper, we address the issue of soil roughness characterisation in the case of agricultural fields having different tillage (roughness) states, that is ploughed, harrowed and rolled surface. By using a laser profiler, the surface height variation trace of three types of tillage soil profiles are obtained. Using this dataset the range of RMS height, autocorrelation length and the fractal characteristic values associated with each agricultural roughness state is estimated, The result show that fractal dimension turned out to be a suitable index for distinguish the different tillage states. But there is no one-to-one correspondence relationship. A soil roughness index was found to be appropriate for the quantification of soil surface roughness.

Abstract: Utilizing the characteristics of the special instrument of testing the chamber pressure—the electronic Piezo Gauge. Taking the electronic Piezo Gauge’s yend cover as the elastic sensitive component. a novel strain electronic Piezo Gauge is developed. In this paper, Theoretical analysis has been made about mechanical characteristics of the electronic Piezo Gauge shell. The simulation of stress, strain distribution and model of the elastic sensitive components has been conducted through finite elements software ANSYS. Meanwhile test experiments were carried out, and the experiment result prove that the electronic strain Piezo Gauge has good linearity and stability.

Abstract: Multi-phase mixture (MPM) discharge has the common characteristics of randomness with air but more complex. How about the statistical rule of MPM discharge This is not only a fundamental problem for discharge research, but it has its own strong applied and practical characteristics. The air-solid two-phase mixtures(ASTPM) are employed to study and carry out some experiments for investigating the development and breakdown of MPM discharge under AC voltage. The results from experimental data show that the AC breakdown voltage and corona-inception voltage will drop when the solid particles are added to the discharge chamber with different permittivity and volume fraction. And there is no influence in gas flow and the corona current.

Abstract: A novel method on frequency measurement based on improved TLS-ESPRIT (total least square estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques) is proposed in this paper with the research on fundamental frequency measurement in power system. TLS-ESPRIT is belong to subspace estimation in modern signal process. Noise is included in signal model, so it is independent on noise. But the same multi-poles cannot be taken when signal is in noise and based on TLS-ESPRIT. Multiple poles restoring is presented to take the true poles accurately. It is revealed that fundamental frequency is detected accurately in harmonics, interharmonics, noise and frequency fluctuations and better anti-noise ability in particular better adaptiveness on time varying signal in amplitude by simulation results.

Abstract: This paper designs the cavity parameters of rectangular microwave cavity resonator, mainly including the design of cavity size, coupled diaphragm radius, and the position to place leaf, to make the largest power of resonant cavity and most significant impact on S11 parameters when the dielectric constant changes. Then conducts optimized analysis with finite element analysis software HFSS, gains the relation between dielectric constant and resonator parameters within the 3.2GHz-3.8GHz swept frequency range, and analyzes the simulation results. Finally, concludes the application sphere of cavity resonator designed in this paper according to the multiformity of plant leaves measured, and makes a simple introduction to the improvement methods.

Abstract: In NC milling process, tool wear has great influence on the machining quality of product. In this paper, a mapping measurement method is used to obtain tool wear and a data processing method is proposed to deal with the data getting from the measurement. First, tool wear along radius of tool’s cross-section, which is called radial wear, can be obtained by mapping measurement method. Then tool flank wear can be easily calculated based on the established relationship between radial wear and flank wear. In order to get radial wear, we process those measured data that are obtained from mapping measurement. In this process, least square method is adopted to fit these data to get the radius of section circle at a certain position. So the radial wear can be obtained by comparing the radius of the fitting circle and the original radius of tool at a certain section. Finally, the data processing software is realized by using Visual C++ development tool according to the designed data processing method of tool wear.
