Abstract: This paper describes one kind of Video collection and transmission System which uses QuartusII and the NiosII embedded development software, based on the FPGA. This design uses the specialized 1,300,000 picture element CMOS camera, Verilog HDL language for the design of video image capture and the transformation and so on we call User Defined Module. The whole system has a good performance on real-time video capture and transmitting.

Abstract: The design of the Queue-Based ARM development uses embedded technology to develop Windows CE-based ARM core platform Queue System. The Queue system can queue up calling number, customer evaluation, queuing information storage, queuing information tips and other functions. Call queuing function support repeat calls, priority calls, queues and merging functions; Customer evaluation function to support customers on operational staff operating results of evaluation; queuing information storage functions will queue information and customer evaluation information stored in back-end database. This design comparing with the market Queue System has the advantage of using an embedded operating platform. The host computer system is small. A new type of ACD (Automatic Call distributing) call end systems that support customer evaluation system is used with using embedded database to store data files. Data storage is more flexible.

Abstract: There’re many models derived from the famous bio-inspired artificial neural network (ANN). Among them, multi-layer perceptron (MLP) is widely used as a universal function approximator. With the development of EDA and recent research work, we are able to use rapid and convenient method to generate hardware implementation of MLP on FPGAs through pre-designed IP cores. In the mean time, we focus on achieving the inherent parallelism of neural networks. In this paper, we firstly propose the hardware architecture of modular IP cores. Then, a parallel MLP is devised as an example. At last, some conclusions are made.

Abstract: Dynamic traffic information is an important data for Intelligent Transportation System(ITS). Fusion of dynamic traffic information and embedded GIS is a basis for dynamic path planning and dynamic navigation. The approach proposed in this paper designed a model of dynamic traffic information and a hierarchical sub-model of road condition, and established algorithms for fusion with road network. Experiments with embedded GIS show that the models and integration algorithms are validated and effective. We believe the newly developed approach will be of great potential in ITS and future applications of dynamic traffic information.

Abstract: This paper proposes a modularized method for the design and implementation of digital PID controller using DA algorithm based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device. It is higher integration, lower power consumption, higher processing speed and more convenient reconfiguration compared with PID controllers based on software. The PID controller is modeled by using Simulink and DSP Builder to generate a system model. The controller coefficients are tuned conveniently by simulink and then pre-written into Look-up Tables(LUTs) in model of the proposed PID controller. After modeling, the simulation wave of step response for proposed PID controller is obtained easily by simulink. And the model of digital PID based on DA is then compiled by using Signal Compiler tool in DSP Builder provided by ALTERA corporation and synthesized by using QUARTUS II platform, and then the created file is downloaded into ALTERA’s FPGA device to implement the proposed PID controller.

Abstract: Acoustic emission is generally high-frequency signal with the characteristics of broadband and burstiness, so it is very difficult to acquire acoustic emission signal in real time as well as rapidly, In this paper, an USB based acquisition system for acoustic emission signal is designed, which adopts CPLD as controller and uses two high-speed A/D converters to achieve synchronous acquisition of two-channel acoustic emission signals, The system first puts collected data into a FIFO and then transfers data to host through USB using CY7C68013, The sampling frequency of the system is up to 10MHz and the transmission rate of USB is 40M/S, Hard body impact test and lead-breaking test indicate that the system can achieve real-time acquisition of acoustic emission signal well,

Abstract: Whether the test of free-flight stall/spin can be carried out successfully, it depends on the airborne anti-stall parachute system, the performance indexes of the system are related to the test pilots’ safety directly. There are large numbers of test signals in the system and half of them are transient pulse signals, so it requires high real-time capability and data throughput level. Thus the danger of the Ignition testing experiment, Telemetry Tracking Monitoring is requisite. To satisfy the need of measuring electric parameters of an airborne anti-stall parachute system, a multi-thread real-time DAQ system of multi-task is constructed, using dual-core industrial computer and high-speed DAQ card as its core, LabWindows/CVI as VI software platform. By a method of dual-core parallel processing through OS kernel, system accomplishes multi-channel data acquisition with high real-timing and huge data throughput, and through TCP/IP, ODBC interface, remote measurement and database management is also accomplished. At the last, the system design a modularize software by DLL technology, packaging several functional modules in DLL form. This system implements the multi-thread mechanism and its synchronization, TCP/IP communication and parallel processing under LabWindows/CVI platform. Finally high real-timing and reliability of this system are validated by experiment.

Abstract: Visualization of volume data is an important branch of science computing visualization and its application is very wide. This paper realized an interactive visualization system of regular volume data. Based on volume data visualization, this paper also realized 3-D model’s volume slice and equal-surface real time. It provides strong support for the researcher to find the laws behind the volume data.

Abstract: Using the TMS320C31 floating-point family DSP devices from the U.S. TI Company to have built the slave system for numeric control lathes. It makes full use of the advantages of TMS320C31 DSP, such as high-speed, high precision motion control in real time, to implement the linear and circular interpolation algorithms, sports section of acceleration and deceleration control content. Experiments show that: not only ensured the precision of digital control systems, and improved the interpolation of real time; solved the uniform allocation while any given pulse number in interpolation cycle; overcame the poor flexibility of original digital logic circuits of interpolation. Multi-axis control can be achieved to improve overall system performance. It’s with high practical value.

Abstract: A device of petroleum asphalt’s characteristics measuring system was designed in this study. The differential auto-calibration voltage-frequency conversion technology with multi-benchmark resources was applied to measure the temperature. Time-triggered scheduling method was introduced into software design. The intelligent PID algorithm was used for controlling the change rate of temperature. These experiment results showed that the device had high measuring accuracy, and reliability and stability.
