Abstract: This paper does research in the independent development detection system for intensity of laminated veneer lumber via ultrasonic wave. By measuring the velocity of ultrasonic wave and other parameters on-line, the dynamic elastic modulus of laminated veneer lumber can be calculated through AVR as the data processing core of this system. And because of the dynamic elastic modulus showed positive correlation in plank strength, the timber grade can be divided through this system.

Abstract: This paper introduces a solution that implement automatic fingerprint verification algorithm on embedded system. It described all parts of the system in details, including the hardware designing and software designing. In order to resolve the difficulty of applying image processing to embedded system, this paper presents an effective resolution and it will bring instruction to embedded system designer.

Abstract: Application of FPAA (field programmable analog array) for the construction of phase-sensitive detector is described. The working principle of the phase sensitive detector is introduced. With software called Anadigmdesigner2, a signal selection circuit, a inverting circuit, a rectifier and a low pass filter circuit are achieved. The simulation of the phase-sensitive detector circuit designed is made. Phase rang from 75º to 115 º, phase errors detected are below ±0.392%.

Abstract: Relying on powerful image processing capabilities and special parallel peripheral interface which is based on the ADI Corporation Blackfin561 DSP and using advanced H.264 video compression algorithm under the operate system of the uClinux. The implementation scheme of video image monitoring system based on B/S mode is proposed. By running the web boa server under the uClinux on the BF561 platform, the system realizes the video image acquisition,processing and network transmission.The result shows that the client can see the clearer images through the browser and the system meets the requirements of the remote video monitoring.

Abstract: This paper presents the design and implementation of a single-loop three-order switched-capacitor sigma-delta modulator(SDM) with a standard 0.18um CMOS technology. A current optimization technique is utilized in proposed design to reduce the power of operational transconductance amplifier(OTA).Using a chain of Integrators with weighted feed-forward summation(CIFF) structure and optimized single-stage class-A OTA with positive feed-back to minimize the power consumption. The SDM has been presented with an over-sampling ratio of 128,clock frequency 6.144MHz,24kHz band- width, and achieves a peak SNR of 100dB,103dB dynamic range. The whole circuits consume 2.87mW from a single 1.8V supply voltage.

Abstract: As the improvement of the modern workshop’s demand for cool supply, heating system, how to effectively manage the air-conditioning equipments to satisfy the production skills for air-conditioning system has become an important subject for modern workshop design. This paper comes from the No.1 motorcar company’s project about the automatic air-conditioning system of the car spray-paint workshop. For many reasons, the conventional PID control is difficult to satisfy the car spray-paint production’s strictly demands of the temperature, after a careful research of the object, we utilize the principle of fuzzy PID adaptive control to design a fuzzy PID controller, then put it into the air-conditioning heater’s controlling, through the practice, we find the controller has a good robust property and realized a good control result.

Abstract: The Ultra-Short pulse laser direct 3D writing inside of the transparent material becomes a commonly accepted tool to achieve the micrometer scale optical devices and lab-on-chips. The disproportionate scale of the laser affected volume (Affected voxel) along the axial direction degrades the precision of the processing. The refraction will not only change the focusing position and elongate the axial scale of the affected voxel, but also cause harmful astigmatism. The shape of the affected voxel is discussed and experimentally detected to provide the information to establish a practical processing plan.

Abstract: Time, cost and quality are crucial aspects of each project and tradeoff among them is important for improvement of the overall performance of industrial and construction projects. In this paper we suggest that the quality is added into the traditional time-cost trade-off problem (TCTP) and develop a three dimensional time, cost and quality trade-off problem (TCQTP) with some realistic assumptions. To the best of our knowledge this problem has not been extensively treated in literature yet. In order to deal with the suggested stochastic TCQTP, a statistical robust solution method is adapted in which not only the correlations among objectives are considered but also the variance of objectives is minimized. A computational study on an illustrative example is done and the results support the applicability and reliability of the suggested model.

Abstract: This work aims at the simulation of three-dimensional isothermal flow between a pair of discs in a series disc-screw (SDS) extruder by finite element method. To analyze the dispersive mixing performance, mixing parameters such as shear rate and mixing index were calculated. The configuration of discs and the gap between a pair of discs were designed. The more grooves on the disc, the better dispersive performance. There was an optimal gap size for dispersive mixing. It is also discussed that the effect of rotate speed on the mixing performance.
