Abstract: Two kinds of 3D modeling methods for square dome shaped pipe (SDSP) are presented in this paper, i.e. Manual modeling method by means of relative commands provided by AutoCAD and automatic modeling method by means of AutoLISP programming. The modeling steps are described in detail in the manual modeling method. Based on these, the 3D modeling application for SDSP is developed by means of AutoLISP language. The parameterized modeling of SDSP is achieved, and the drawing efficiency is increased effectively.

Abstract: Nunmerical analysis method was used to analyze multi-chip tapered leaf spring with the same area under vertical loads, in which the brick element of twenty nodes was used to model the spring leaves and the solid modeling using in ansys was modeled in 3D softwar. Each piece of nodes were coupled in order to simulate the leaf spring assembly process. The results of six modes analysis and static analysis could be the research basis for the further study of leaf spring.

Abstract: Post-processing technology is the key to CNC automatic programming technology and an important module of the CAD / CAM system. Post-processing technology converts the NC program that is produced by the CNC automatic programming tool into the file that can be identified by CNC system. Moreover, the generated tool path files must match with the CNC system. Post-processing techniques and UG software are briefly introduced. Using them, a post-processor for FANUC CNC systems is created. The program that generated by the special processor is contrasted with the general processor. The results illustrat that using the dedicated post-processor in engineering applications can improve programming efficiency and processing reliability.

Abstract: Arc-gear tooth profile is complex, especially quadruple-arc gear, it cant be grinding by generating method, form grinding method is still has some difficult in wheel dressing. In this article, the author use software VC++6.0 and OpenGL developed a new and special gear software, when the tooth number and modulus of arc-gear to be machined and grinding wheel diameter is given, this software can generate disk form grinding wheel 3D model,this software is useful to arc-gear form grinding wheel dressing.

Abstract: This paper introduces a parametric modeling method of wave spring. The common wave spring parametric design programs are written with VBA in the SolidWorks platform by calling the relevant API (application program interface) functions according to the spring entity structure characteristics and service conditions, which obviously reduces the designers repetitive operations in the modeling process and shortens the spring design cycle.

Abstract: For the current problem of CAM engineering is high cost and long development cycle with commercial CAD kernel, this paper proposed a method which uses open-source Open CASCADE kernel to develop trajectory planning software method, described in detail the composition of the Open CASCADE kernel, highlights its base class, model data, modeling algorithm, visualization module in the CAM software development, given a trajectory planning instance using the method developed. From trajectory generation effect, the proposed method is a fast and efficient method of development of CAM software.

Abstract: An automatically correction algorithm was promoted to solve the problem that most of the commercial CAD/CAM software can only detect the collision, but can not generate collision-free tool path on cutting path planning. The algorithm uses the configuration space theory to map the boundary into the 2D configuration space, and then the 3D space interference collision problem was transformed into 2D space. Finally, the algorithm was used to generate cutting path of a closed impellers runner. From the result of cutting path planning, the proposed algorithm was able to avoid the interference in the process of tool path planning about closed impeller.

Abstract: The computer simulation method is used to study the crashworthiness of car bumper system. Firstly, the CAD model of the car and bumper system is established in CATIA. The pre-processing for the model is finished in Hyper-Mesh and the finite element model is established. Then the process of crash simulation is calculated in Pam-Crash. The simulation results are compared with the test results to verify the accuracy of the finite element model. Finally, the low-speed crash simulation of the bumper system is conducted. The crash displacement and deformation of the bumper system are forecast through the process of simulation, which can provide a reference for the next design and improvement.

Abstract: It is important for human-computer interaction smoothly with viewpoint controlling in complex virtual space based on VRML. Analyses the application characters of viewpoint during the realization of 3D models with VRML, and researches the methods of viewpoint control from the point of the viewpoint interactive technology of 3D models, focuses on approach of viewpoint control using Viewpoint node and NavigationInfo node, and provides the demos of the relevant VRML programs.
