Abstract: This paper presents the research and development of a special self-contained Inclinometer based on the requirement of offshore platform monitoring. The device records the anchors inclination completely and accurately, providing information for stress analysis of the anchor chain. Laboratory calibration, platform movement simulation experiment, and real platform testing confirmed the instrument can meet the measurement requirements. The instrument is high-precision, energy-economical, mass-storage and user-friendly. Its able to work underwater continuously for up to one year. In addition, the small size minimizes the interference caused by the carriers motion. Compared with its foreign counterparts, the new instrument is inexpensive, so its suitable for extensive multi-point measurement. Now it has been installed in LH11-1 platform in the South China Sea for measurement of anchor chain inclination. Its the first time to employ measuring device with autonomous right in offshore platform monitoring in China.

Abstract: To establish a new three-dimensional (3D) digital design method for osteotomy and assess its application value in the surgical treatment of hemivertebrae. Preoperative 3D digital designs for osteotomy of the hemivertebrae were performed, which included computer simulation of the osteotomy and the internal fixation process, and computer-assisted design (CAD) of the templates for osteotomy of the hemivertebrae, pedicle screw positioning, and internal fixation rods. Template-guided osteotomy of the hemivertebrae plus pedicle screw and rod internal fixation were accurately implemented. The preoperative use of this new computer-aided 3D digitized and paperless surgical design can improve the safety, accuracy, and operative time for osteotomy in the treatment of hemivertebrae.

Abstract: To overcome disadvantages of the older surgical model, we invented a new three-dimensional (3D) correction surgery design after studying computer-aided 3D model analysis. Three-dimensional reconstruction was carried out for computed tomographic (CT) scans of patients with normal bilateral lower extremities; an anatomical model was established; and the normal values of 3D anatomic parameters of the lower-extremity joints were measured with computer assistance. An osteotomy procedure was simulated using a computer, appropriate osteotomy site, and osteotomy angle, and an osteotomy method was selected. Computer-assisted design (CAD) was used to produce an individualized auxiliary osteotomy template for guiding the osteotomy and an auxiliary correction template for guiding correction surgery. Finally, we accurately performed surgery according to the preoperative design. All surgeries were performed successfully and postoperative x-ray films showed satisfactory deformity correction. Computer-aided lower-extremity joint correction surgery is more accurate and convenient than conventional surgery.

Abstract: The disturbance phenomena and its characteristics of electromagnetic field are studied in this paper, based on the observational data in satellite and ground station during the magnetic storm occurred from 21 to 23 July, 2009. The results showed that: (1) the synchronous disturbances are seen from the two kinds of electromagnetic data in the same magnetic storm, especially during the active phase. (2)The disturbances performance are different: from electromagnetic data of revisited orbit in satellite, the disturbances of storm and non-storm are distinguished effectively in the main phase stage; the evolution trend of magnetic storm can be found from the data of continuous orbit. The geoelectric and geomagnetism data is a time sequence for a fixed location, therefore the full evolution of magnetic storm can be reflected. (3) The features and advantages of the two kinds data can play a better role, if they are comprehensive applied.

Design of Remote Real-Time Environmental Condition Monitoring System Based on Multi-Network Mergence
Abstract: t is a hot issues about how to the environmental condition conveniently and economically. A kind of remote real-time environmental condition monitoring system merging ad hoc network, GPRS/GSM and PSTN is designed. Ad hoc wireless sensor network (WSN) is used to detect environmental temperature, humidity, illuminance, gas and carbon monoxide concentration etc. Wireless gateway is constructed with GPRS/GSM module and embedded Modem. It realizes seamless connection of ad hoc network, GPRS/GSM and PSTN and transmits data collected by WSN to mobile and remote computer. This system has the characteristics of small, remote, dispread and economical, it can realize multipoint distribution, central management, multiple alarm and remote monitoring.

Abstract: Night market is a unique business arena that always create a happening scene in TaiwanBesides providing a space for people to spend their leisure time and money, night market is also a place where the consuming-culture that can only be found in Taiwan.In fact, it fits the current consuming mode of our society, and yet it has become the main night activities for people. The purpose of this article is to investigate consumers impression and experience of visiting a night market, and for simplification, we only recruit the famous Tai-Chung FengJia Night Marketin this survey. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed during the peak hours (1900~2300) of the night market every day. The survey has reflected the factors that affect consumers night market impression are environment, diversification, attractiveness, information, customer service, price, quality and convenience. Meanwhile, the survey has also divided the consumers of FengJiaNight Market into threedifferent clusters, namelyShopping-oriented, Brand-oriented and Leisure-oriented.

Abstract: Higher order local auto-correlation (HLAC) can be used to analyze the different types of complicated data by limiting orders and spatial displacements. In this paper, the basic concept of HLAC is introduced firstly. Then, we analyzed the HLAC based methods from three aspects: algorithm robustness, pattern improvement, and the changes of image functions which participate in the autocorrelation operation. Finally, the applications of HLAC-based methods are discussed.

Abstract: Assessing the land-use measures systematically is an essential procedure in providing sustainable land management practice. Land-use efficiency (LUE) may be measured by using a methodological framework that prescribes the conditions, integrated methods, models, classifications, an indicator system, and sequential evaluation procedures. This paper focuses on development of measuring techniques to assess the LUE on the basis of systems approach and discusses the challenges of measuring LUE according to established methodological framework. The findings of the study show that chosen integrated research methods in distinct variations according to the introduced evaluation framework may be applied for measuring LUE. Systematic evaluation of LUE is necessary to support a decision-making in land-use management and to promote a land use in better and more efficient way.

Through collecting image information to the EMS memory and then processing the image information, the magnetic images on the cannonball are showed clearly on computer, and cracks on the cannonball can easily to be judged. The software of the image information collection system is developed by Visual C++.

Abstract: A method to evaluate the rheological properties of low density polyethylene (LDPE) using torque rheometer was developed and the parameter of Power rate model were obtained by fitting balance torque and balance temperature. The rheological parameters of polymer melts were evaluated on the basis of previous equation by introducing the apparent filling degree in torque rheometer, the results show the temperature compensated torque (Mtc) increase from 5.685 Nm to 6.972 Nm, while apparent filling degree change from 0.65 to 0.85 at the rotor speed of 29.98 rpm. The Mtc also increase from 2,900 Nm to 3.528 Nm and increase by 0.628 Nm at the rotor speed of 4.985 rpm, while it increase by 1.287 Nm from 5.685 Nm to 6.972 Nm at the rotor speed of 29.99 rpm, which means the higher the rotor speed, the more influence on the torque. The other relative rheological parameters, such as the activation energy (ΔE), the Non-Newton (n), etc., calculated in this model, indicate the effect of apparent filling degree on the polymer melting rheology. The calculated values were compared with those derived from capillary rheolometer, the results show the apparent viscosity decrease with the increase shear rate in exponential function, the change rules of apparent viscosity are good agreement from two kinds test methods.
