Abstract: The reclaimed water of domestic sewage reused in recycling cooling system has been widely spread and applied. Chemical scale inhibitors are the most economic and effective measures to prevent condensers and circulating pipes from scaling currently. Green scale inhibitor are highly regarded for their non-toxicity, phosphate-free, reproducibility and biodegradability. The paper selects two kinds of new green scale inhibitors used in the recycling cooling water of Beijing Thermoelectric Plant. By the measuring the scale inhibition rate, scaling amount, turbidity and SEM, it shows that Polyepoxysuccinic acid (PESA) is worth spreading and applying in the industrial recycling cooling system with reclaimed wastewater, for its high scale inhibition rate, good dispersion, low consumption, high economy and practicability.

Abstract: This study prepared the in situ formed iron hydroxide (in situ FeOxHy) by the interactions between Fe3+ and OH- at different molar ratios of 1:0, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3. The influences of molar ratios and pH on the removal of phosphate were investigated and the surface of in situ FeOxHy before and after adsorption was analyzed. The phosphate removal rate with mass unit iron hydroxide is greater at the molar ratios of 1:3 between Fe3+ and OH-. The phosphate removal rate is maximum at the pH 6~7. The compatibility of iron hydroxide towards raw water pH value is better when the proportion of hydroxyl ion is greater. The disposal effect is good at the pH 4~9. The iron hydroxide formed at different molar ratios is not definitive shape and it can remove phosphate by the chemical action of adsorption and sedimentation.

Abstract: Indigo carmine (IC) is one of the oldest, most important and highly toxic dyes used and released in the effluents of many industries, such as textile, paper and plastics. Biogenic Mn oxides (BMO) were prepared by culturing Marinobacter sp. MnI7-9 in presence of Mn (II). The Point of Zero Charge (PZC) of the BMO is 7.5 by salt titration method. The surface area (BET) is 27.68 m2 g-1 by the nitrogen adsorption-desorption method. The adsorption kinetics of low concentration IC (5 mg L-1) on the BMO fit the pseudo-first order model, while the adsorption kinetics of higher concentration IC (20 mg L-1) fit the pseudo-second order model. Intra-particle diffusion is an important rate-controlling step. The equilibrium adsorption data fit well in the Langmuir isotherm equation. The maximal adsorption capacity is 115.61 mg g-1 at 25¡æ. A larger IC removal amount can be obtained when the amount of the BMO is 2 g L-1 at pH 6.5. These results suggest that the BMO can be used as an efficient material for IC removal from aqueous solution.

Abstract: In this research, an experimental apparatus that composed of adiabatic packed absorption and regeneration columns was established to simulate H2S removal process. The results show that the reaction between CO2 and MDEA can be regarded as a rapid pseudo-first-order reversible reaction and the CO2 absorption mainly is controlled by liquid film resistance while the reaction between H2S and MDEA are reversible instantaneous. For H2S absorption, it is mainly controlled by gas film resistance but the rate of liquid film resistance to the total resistance of H2S absorption was distributed from 25.7% (column bottom) to 12.6% (column up).

Abstract: This paper focuses on the study of the curvatures of deflector installed on the below receiving device to effect the dust amount from the free falling particle stream. The deflector curvature was artificially controlled to limit the fugitive dust direction which was generated by the collision between the free falling bulk materials and the receiving device. This method was used to improve efficiency of the dust control system to exhaust fugitive dust, and to achieve the targets of energy conservation and emissions reduction. The experimental method was adopted to explore the relationship between the deflector curvature and the producing dust quantity. The experimental results indicated that, the dust suppression effect containing deflector contained a certain radian was more remarkable, when the height of the free falling of bulk materials was constant. The producing dust quantity decreased slightly with the deflector curvature increasing, and then increased rapidly. When the deflector curvature was 0.045 cm-1 or 0.060cm-1, the minimum of producing dust quantity could be obtained, and the dust removal effect might be significant.

Abstract: Organo-mineral complexes are important in regulating the transport and retention of hydrophobic organic contaminants in soils/sediments. Humic acid will be fractionated during adsorption on mineral. This study examined the sorption of model compounds with different properties (tannin acid, gallic acid, fumaric acid sodium and sodium oleate) on nanoiron oxide minerals and determined the sorption of phenanthrene and Bisphenol A on these organooxide complexes. The results showed that the sorption of model compounds on nanoFe2O3 followed the order of O > T > G> F. The higher adsorption of O and T was likely attributed to their higher molecule weight. The sorption of PHE and BPA on organomineral complexes was controlled by hydrophobic interactions. HOCs will adsorb preferentially on hydrophobic aliphatic compositions of organic matter.

Abstract: For gypsum rain phenomenon in limestone-gypsum wet desulfurization system. This article made programme that has used unit existing equipment allowance. Extracted hot secondary air to heat purified flue gas to eliminate "gypsum rain". This programme is implemented which makes temperature of purified flue gas rising to 70 °C. That almost eliminate "gypsum rain" phenomenon. While temperature of boiler exhaust gas declined, and temperature of hot air reduced, and boiler thermal efficiency declined, unit of power coal consumption rosed. Comparing to other programmes, this programme has a larger advantage in technology, economic, and security aspects.

Abstract: This paper introduces the impact on the marine environment caused by marine diesel engine exhaust pollution and the regulations made by IMO to control the marine diesel engine emissions. And it summarizes the main technical measures to reduce SOx, NOx and particulate matter emissions from the marine diesel. It also points that the combination application of various technologies will be the research direction to reduce the emission of marine diesel engine in the future.

Abstract: Based on the VAR model, the long term dynamic relation between economic growth and industrial waste water is analyzed by using co-integration analysis and granger causality test, generalized impulse response function and variance decomposition method in Nanjing, and the related data of industrial waste and GDP indices from 1982 to 2011. The empirical results show that between economic growth and industrial waste water pollutant discharge has a two-way mechanism, but industrial waste water pollutants on the reaction mechanism of economic growth is weak, and there is a certain lag. This conclusion can provide a great reference value for promoting sustainable economic development and formulating relevant environmental policy for Nanjing.

Abstract: The method of acclimating aerobic denitrifying bacteria is studied from activated sludge by MBR system on treatment of aquaculture waste water. After 60 day, one strain aerobic denitrifying bacteria (named F28 strain), is isolated from the activated sludge. It was identified as pseudomonas sp based on its biochemical/morphological characteristics and physiological analysis of its 16SrRNA sequence. The denitrifying capability of the strain is studied in batch culture under aerobic condition. The results showed that the nitrate in the culture could be efficiently removed by F28 strain. Denitrification process of F28 strain mainly occurred in the exponential phase, and the nitrogen removal rate was up to above 70% in 24 hours. Nitrogen is obviously removed by the strain F28 strain on the aquaculture waste water.F28 strain is significant for the practical engineering.
