Abstract: This paper presents an automatic inspection robot for insulators installed on 500kV power transmission lines. In order to detect the poor insulators automatically, the robot’s behaviors are analyzed, and a behavior control model based on Finite State Machine (FSM) is established. Moreover, an exception handling method is proposed based on sensors and timers. The results of experiments in the laboratory prove that the control methods mentioned above are correct and valid. Experiments on a 500kV transmission live line show that the inspection robot can not only automatically move along the double insulator strings with variable intervals, but also reliably handle the abnormal conditions including slipping, power shortage, deadlocking, sensor abnormity, and probe loosening.

Abstract: UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicle) can be widely used in military, research, industrial, agriculturaland other fields. This paper presents an onboard flight computer which can be applied toUAVs of various layouts including helicopters, fixed-wing aeroplanes and tailless aircrafts. We alsodeveloped a semi-physical simulation and actual flight software system based on QNX (a kind of realtimeoperating systems). This platform provides interfaces with MATLAB RTW generated code foreasy design and verification. The platform is used to control the autonomous take-off and landing ofa fixed-wing UAV, its stability and reliability are verified.

Abstract: The intelligent control system of greenhouse is based on the technical framework, which combined GPRS/GSM wireless communication module with PLC. The system uses microcomputer to collect information, GPRS/GSM to communicate, PLC to control. The comprehensive environmental of greenhouse group would be dynamic controlled, that about temperature, light, water, fertilizer and other environmental factors. The system has many advantages, such as designed visualization, humanized framework, and easy operation, etc.. The automatic control and management level of the greenhouse are effectively improved.

Abstract: Use accurate springback evaluation method to guide modifying die surfaces, that is the first pledge to rectify the springback of sheet metal stamping by mould compensation method. Aiming at the problems in springback evaluation of complex sheet metal stamping and to improve the simulation precision of finite element, presented the face-to-face selection methods to select reference points evaluating springback, then used this method on the spiral blades reference points selecting and springback evaluation. Result shows that this method can determine the range of reference points evaluating springback rapidly and get a comparatively accurate result of springback evaluation.

Abstract: Aiming at the calculation problem of sheet metal structure workpiece, this paper comes up with a CAGD graphical method based on the graphics software MasterCAM, so as to simplify the traditional lofting job and promote the efficiency. The expanded graph is precise enough to avoid the extra machining. Since the graphical method is endowed with great universality and pragmatic value, it can be widely used in engineering applications.

Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the design principle for 3D scene automatically generate, as well as how to use Mel language design a Maya plugin that can automatically generate scene.The plugin designed by Mel scripting language, setting the parameters in the plugin interface. The plugin can automatically generate an XML script file, according to create the script expect the 3D scene. The system can help eliminate the cumbersome task of model establishment and set parameters for the 3D designer.

Abstract: The paper describes an intelligent system for the automatic generation of electrical connector designs. A framework for the system is proposed based on the case-based reasoning approach. The work aims to improve the productivity through automatic exploration of the electronic CAD drawings and reuse successful past solutions for the generation of new conceptual designs. Although this paper focuses on the connector designs, the fundamentals could be applicable to other products that contain distinct sub-components confined within a fixed topology.

Abstract: Reconstruction of 3D building objects from 2D drawings is a vital approach for 3D model reconstructing, and the key is symbol recognition of the architectural construction components in 2D graphics. Existing algorithms of graphics symbol recognition are lack of robustness, scalability and with low recognition ability to deal with graphics transformation. This study constructed Attributed Graph to express the geometrical characteristics, topological relationships and semantic characteristics of architectural drawing symbols uniformly. The recognition approach with Attributed Graph can expand easily and flexibly to deal with rotation transformation and scaling transformation. Considering the semantic mapping from drawings to models systematically, created corresponding mapping mechanism to guarantee robustness of model creating system. Achieve internal and external integration of three-dimensional architectural models automatically, by using 3Dmax modeling script. Import models to GeoDatabase, so as to using the model in 3DGIS application.

Abstract: Similar to other machinery products, numerous analysis and tests would consume large amount of manpower and resources before paddy machinery putting into the mass markets. A method to establish the Virtual Proving Ground (VPG) for paddy machinery is proposed. Parameters stored with model nodes are obtained by collision detection between machine and scene. Motion equations of transplanting mechanism are derived with some simple transformations referring to a rice transplanter. Then working process simulation of the rice transplanter in virtual reality environment is realized by calling functions encapsulated in Vega Prime in a VC++ environment. Moreover some solutions for researching virtual testing are proposed.

Abstract: UAV visual simulation training system is a vital part of the UAV simulation training system. It is made up of simulation models for UAV and airborne platform mathematical, UAV visual and ground-station control system. It prevents a realistic virtual environment for UAV operator by simulating UAV flight control law and the actual flight environments. In order to train operational level, test weapons and validate tactical thinking economically and efficiently. This paper prevented the function, architecture, hardware deployment, running conditions and realization of real simulation module.
