Diverse and healthy indoor environments can be developed by learning from traditional culture. Traditional thinking and elements and Feng Shui (geomancy) concept subtly permeates modern interior design and makes the indoor environment healthier, more interesting and more vitality.

Abstract: To study the thermal environment of Dalian residences, in winter from 2011 to 2012 field investigation were conducted on indoor thermal environment, thermal sensation and adaptation measures. Thermal comfort instrument was used, and 102 subjective questionnaires in 36 families were collected. The acceptability to the thermal environment is 93.2%. The neutral temperature is 20.44°C, and the expected temperature is 20.81°C. 80% of the acceptable temperature range is 17.38-24.28°C. 57% of subjects think it is dry indoor and measures shall be taken for humidification.

Abstract: Milk fiber is not only practical art, but also a kind of art beyond utility in Building space decoration. It has gradually stepped into the stage of decorative materials, the paper focuses on milk fiber and carries out discussion on development of milk fibers innovative area by analysis of its application in Building space decoration. Comparisons are made between design of traditional field and innovation of new field to achieve a new breakthrough for values of materials. By exploration of unique language of Building space decoration, bold development and experiments, milk fiber can create new art forms and styles.

Abstract: This study focuses on the measurement of air temperature and relative humidity, aimed at the living spaces of a typical hot summer and cold winter zone in China, which is under the environment of winter without air conditioner. Different spaces with different functions would produce different microclimates, which could make the user feel different physiological and psychological feelings of comfort or discomfort.

Abstract: In this paper, the author analyses the problem and the situation of the campus acoustic environment on the basis of elaborating on the current situation of the sound situation. Combining of relevant investigations, the author focus on the noise status of a university in Shanxi monitoring and analysis, and subjective evaluation of the sound through the form of a questionnaire. The author also propose the method of the Campus Environment noise controlling and acoustic environment constructing.
