Abstract: Natural lawn and artificial turf, which have a great difference on practical function and thermal environment characteristics, are widely used in sports field. In order to obtain the quantitative differences on thermal environment in summer, instrumental measurement and questionnaires are used in this paper to investigate the thermal environmental characteristics of natural lawn and artificial turf, respectively. Meanwhile human thermal sensation in the two lawns was also evaluated. The results show that the foliar surface temperature and mean air temperature in artificial turf is significantly higher than that of natural lawn in early summer. Due to thermal discomfort and the potential hurt for athletes on artificial turf field, cooling methods such as sprinkle are recommended.

Abstract: Urban freeway greening can beautify the environment, and provide other functions such as anti-glare capability in median area, visual line guidance, accident protection, and environmental ecologic protection. However, the traditional greening evaluation limits to the appraisal of landscape. Therefore, this paper attempts to establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation indexes system of urban freeway greening. On the basis of analysis and summary, this article puts forward the appraisal principles and methods of urban freeway greening. Taking the road section as the appraisal unit and choosing 8 indicators as primary indicators, the paper develops the framework of the evaluation system for urban freeway greening, by using methods of the expert appraisal and principle component analysis. . To a certain extent, this evaluation approaches can scientifically, objectively measure and evaluate the current status and developing level of ecological greening of urban freeway in a certain area.

Abstract: Concerning the treatment of tannery wastewater with high COD (chemical oxygen demand), the effective process is physical-chemical and anaerobic treatment. The core technology of anaerobic treatment is to test the performance of anaerobic degradation of organic matter, clarify the inhibitory effect and inhibitory mechanism of pollutant. In this paper, anaerobic degradation and inhibitory effect of bayberry tannin extract were studied. In the course of the experiment, the production of methane, the activity of sludge and the content of coenzyme F420 were been tested, the bayberry tannin extract and degradation products were been tested by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results indicated that the 50% inhibitory concentration of bayberry tannin extract is about 3.3 g/L, the anaerobic fermentation has been inhibited is owing to bayberry tannin extract has the inhibition on methanogenic activity of methanogens, the production of methane, the activity of sludge and the content of coenzyme F420 are getting lower and lower with the increase in content of bayberry tannin extract. The characterization of FTIR showed that the bayberry tannin extract has been degraded in anaerobic fermentation. These all indicated that bayberry tannin extract can inhibit the anaerobic fermentation, and the greater amount, resulting in stronger inhibition, in appropriate concentrations, bayberry tannin extract can be degraded by anaerobic fermentation. The results can provide guidance for anaerobic treatment of tannery wastewater with high COD.

Abstract: As the worldwide demand for crude oil and gas increases and the oilfields age, the annual production of produced water is rising dramatically. Environmental restrictions on the disposal of this waste water have become more stringent in recent years with the result that disposal costs are also raising rapidly. This paper examines the various options for the treatment of this produced water prior to its disposal together with the possible consequences of getting it wrong, such as corrosion and scaling of process piping and equipment, together with fouling of the oilfield rock formation and disposal wells.

Abstract: AOC and BDOC are used to estimate the biostability of water distribution system in a northern living district of China. The results show that the concentrations of AOC and BDOC are 57.6 to 369.3 μg/L and 0.81 to 2.43 mg/L in water which is biologically unstable. The concentration of BDOC generally reduced with the along monitoring sites. The concentration of BDOC is greatly influence by residual chlorine and bacteria activity in water distribution system. The concentration of AOC is between 57.6 μg/L and 369.3 μg/L, and the bacteria number is form 5 to 43.

Abstract: With the government speeding up the pace of the new disinfectant application and formulating standards, more and more municipal sewage plants are trying to deal with the problem of disinfection process selection and process adjustment. The experiment took the sample water of Fushun City Sanbaotun wastewater treatment plant as the research object, using the homemade compound chlorine dioxide generator to sewage sterilization. Through the detection of total bacterial count and fecal coliform bacteria in sewage sterilization with compound chlorine dioxide, finding out the optimal dosing concentration, contacting time, pH, stirring speed and other significant parameters. The results show that the optimal dosing concentration is 5mg/L, the contacting time is 4min, the stirring speed is 90r/min and the pH value has little effect. Under the condition, the compound chlorine dioxide can reach good disinfection effect, providing the technical basis for the development of disinfection process in the future.

Abstract: For the water pollution problem in the wetland of Xiquan Lake in Shenbei of ShenYang, we carried out the degradation and adsorption expriements of three nitrogen and explored the law of them. We collected the soil and indigenous plants at the scene, by measuring the growing season and non-growing season soil and plant removal rate of ammonia nitrogen, nitrate and nitrite nitrogen, analysis the degradation and adsorption law of the wetland soils and plants for the three nitrogen. We take use of the reaction rate equation to calculate the two growth cycle average coefficient of the degradation and adsorption. The results show that the soil and plant can take in some of the three nitrogen. When the adsorption reaches the saturation, they come to dynamic equilibrium.

Abstract: The ecological groin being built using elastic filter bulb with biologic filler, has received attention in the community for its role in improving stream water quality through altering stream hydrodynamics, intercepting sediment and thereby reducing the sediment-attached nutrients. As an important watercourse for the project Transferring Yangtse River into Taihu Lake, Wangyu River, was chosen in this study to investigate the effect of ecological groin based on two sampling campaigns in April 2012. The results showed that suspended solid (SS) and total phosphorus (TP) concentration in the water decreased significantly after the ecological groin. The SS and TP concentration in the surface, intermediate and bottom water decreased after the ecological groin by 53.5% and 12.7%, 44.0 %and 14.5%, and 35.5% and 9.3%, respectively, which were greatly related to the facts that ecological groin favored sedimentation and that the total particulate phosphorus accounted for up to 75.0% of TP in the water. Comparatively, TN concentration in the surface, intermediate and bottom water decreased after the ecological groin by 5.6%, 2.4% and 5.1%, respectively. The findings of this study enable us to gain insight into the role of ecological groin in improving river water quality.
