Abstract: The significance of organization management to companies was analyzed and the relationship between a enterprise’s organization structure and its information transfer effect was discussed. Then the differences of organization structures between construction companies at home and abroad were compared. The information entropy model was used to evaluate the structure from two aspects as efficiency and effectiveness of information transmission. And based on this model, Kajima Construction Group and China Railway Construction Corporation were evaluated, and the result shows that China Railway Construction Corporation fall behind in both areas of information transmission.

Abstract:

Investment and construction project from the perspective of systems engineering and using existing terminology systems engineering construction, formed from the studied model of organizational and technological modules ( OTM ) - potentials , representing a collection of process groups , united by a common organizational approach, process sequence , functional purpose , as well as other organizational, technological and managerial factors . The impact of these factors on the final figure will be provided throughout the project life cycle. The assessment of this impact - a key link in the task of monitoring the desired end point of the object construction - its security and comfort of life of people. Call this integral component of organizational and technological potential of the object. Significant difference from the building techniques used in the evaluation of the final index integral approach to the factors shaping it. To study the model of integral organizational and technological capabilities are introduced the following notation : PI - integral (integral) capacity (potential), represents a generic parameter that characterizes the achievement of the required endpoints construction.

Abstract:

Based on Project Management Office (PMO) and Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3), 36 influence factors were firstly identified, which were extracted from organization structure framework and objective requirement of multi-project management in the mega construction engineering enterprise. These influence factors were reflected in the organizational support, informatization construction, and project management. The maturity evaluation index system was built and optimized by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) on the basis of questionnaire survey on the 238 national excellent project manager and high-level business executives. Consequently, 8 main factors were assessed quantitatively. The results show that the most important factor is contract management and coordination of strategy level, and the least important factor is market ability. The enterprise should pay more attention to organization construction, application of the tools and methods of multi-project management, enterprise culture and integration ability of multiple projects.

Abstract: 13 key factors, which affected the ability of Project Management Office (PMO) and multi-project management, were extracted through literature reading and expert interviewing. Based on three aspects of assumptions, Structural Equation Model was used to build the structure model that PMO influence on multi-project management of contracting construction enterprises. The relationship among PMO, Program and Project Portfolio were analyzed on the basis of questionnaire survey on the 238 the national excellent project manager and high-level business executives. The results show that the most important function of the PMO is coordination management, the second is the risk forecasting and management, the third is information processing and finally is resource allocation. Consequently, the PMO can support the multi-project management, the Influence degree of PMO for project portfolio is the largest, followed by the program management, and single project management is the third one. With the increasing of project amount, difficulty and complexity, and the role of PMO is more significant.

Abstract: Randomness is an accidental, an event with a probability demonstrated uncertainty. We know CPM method does not consider the resource constraints. This deficiency can be solved by the critical chain technology. We can get more than a critical chain. In order to solve this problem, We can use the optimal method of stochastic process to schedule critical chain.

Abstract: This is based on the evaluation of the management quality theory, by integrating the related theory; we present a comprehensive Six Sigma quality management theory for highway engineering quality supervision and management. This theory uses the total quality management theory to realize the full responsibility of the main participation, and it uses Six Sigma quality management theory to guide the various stages and key processes of quality management, and it uses fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to achieve the evaluation of the entire project and the various processes. This essay provides the working program which uses this theory and the corresponding quality management content.

Abstract: According to the specific construction process, the paper combines with the characteristics of green construction, and fully considering the synergy of participants including government, owner, contractor and material and equipment supplier, at the same time, it builds the project management system framework of multiparty green construction to normalize management mode of green construction during the process of construction. It would analysis the responsibilities of participants of green construction, and achieving the means of green construction, in order to obtain the goals of green construction, to improve the technological content and quality of green construction, to promote the rapid development of green construction, meanwhile, and to achieve the unification of social benefits, economic and environmental benefits.

Abstract: Contract execution and management is the core of project management, however contractors in China failed to fully recognize its importance. In the process of contract implementation, problems like oversimplified contract, lagging contracts modification, lagging vise engineering change and letter sending and so forth are very common, which all contribute to high risk and low efficiency in contracting engineering projects. The origin of these problems were analyzed and some practical solutions were put forward in this paper .

Abstract: During the last ten years, the international construction market has kept growing. However, not all the international contractors have good performance according to the study of the rankings of international contractors in ENR TOP 225. The core competence analysis model was established according to the theory and research of the competitiveness in international contracting industry. Two methods to determine the core competences of leading international engineering constructor were confirmed. Firstly, the core competences could be found by studying the market performance to research companies’ products, services and core business units. Secondly, the general competences and core competences could be determined according to the enterprises’ resources and capabilities to determine.

Abstract: The paper discusses main content of the complexity theory research and the complexity characteristics of the project management. With the aid of complexity theory and its powerful explanation for the complexity system behavior, we attempt to study the application of the complexity theory in the project management. The article focuses on complexity of project subject behavior, self-organizing process of project, stakeholders’ relationship, project management and leadership.
