Abstract: In order to improve the travel inducing ability in the foggy area of expressway and reduce the accident rate, the effect and the demand of fog on the expressway were analyzed. Then the design theory of travel inducing was studied, including the various components. Finally, the Example were analyzed, the setting and achieving technology were applied in Beng Huai Expressway. The results indicate that, the travel inducing technology solve the problem of traffic safety well in fog, and bring a good socioeconomic benefits.

Abstract: In Qatar, road accidents kill approximately 200 people every year and injure or disable many others. In addition to 205 fatalities in 2010, road accidents resulted in 586 major injuries and 4,723 minor injuries in Qatar. Road accidents are responsible for approximately 18% of the total deaths in Qatar compared to approximately 2% in the United States. Young drivers are known to be a problem age group for road safety in several countries. The objective of this paper is to understand the young driver's knowledge of the traffic signs in Qatar and to determine the extent to which drivers are different in their knowledge when it comes to gender, age, and nationality. The results showed a high percentage of the young drivers were familiar with traffic signs. The results found no significant relationship between the success rate and the gender of the respondents, their nationality, and the driving experience at the 10% significance level. However, there was a strong relationship between the response and age of the respondents.

Abstract: Traffic emission is one of the main pollution sources of urban atmospheric environment. Traffic control scheme of intersection has important influence on vehicle emission. Research on low emission traffic signal control scheme has become one of focuses of Intelligent Transportation. Current typical control methods of traffic emission are based on optimizing the average delay and number of stops. However, it is extremely difficult to use mathematical formula to calculate the delay and the number of stops in the presence of initial queue length of intersection. In order to solve this problem, we proposed a traffic emission control algorithm based on reinforcement learning. The simulation experiments were carried out by using the microscopic traffic simulation software. Compared with the Hideki emission control scheme, the experimental results show that the reinforcement learning algorithm is more effective. The average vehicle emissions are reduced by 12.2% for high saturation of the intersection.

Abstract: The power quality problems in urban rail transit construction, not only brings security and stability problems to the power grid, also brings the hidden dangers to their own equipment safe operation. How to effective monitoring the power quality of urban rail transit power supply network , how to grasp the level of power quality problems, effective governance the hidden trouble of power quality problems, and effective improve the stability and the safety of the rail transit operation , have great significance. This paper analyzes the power quality problems and harms in rail transit, introduces the basic function of the monitoring system, proposes the system construction scheme, and elaborates the data communication and interaction, which has higher reference value and practical significance.

Abstract: As the traffic flow is increasing gradually in recent years, a great deal of problems appears at the intersection in China. This existing T-junction has a high morning peak queues on the minor road and a poor safety record for all road users. Under this circumstance, Firstly, we will design and evaluate a traffic signal controlled T-junction by using DMRB guidelines. Furthermore, we will design and evaluate a roundabout by DMRB guidelines and ARCADY. Different components of the traffic flow in this T-junction should be considered in both two designs, such as buses, pedestrians, cyclists and cars.

Abstract: According to traffic safety factor analysis of freeway entrances and exits, this paper use traffic behavior and traffic conflict theory, select the number of conflicts as the evaluation index, use SSAM software to analyze the safety factors in freeway entrance area. On this basis, this paper put forward recommendations about intersection traffic safety design.

Abstract: Glare is one of the most important factors threating expressway traffic safety an night. The most commonly way to prevent glaring night is to set anti-glare plate. Different from the straight sections of expressway, the relationship between the front light of vehicles and the distance of anti-glare plate on the horizontal curved section has some-what changed. Through a lot of tests and finite element simulation, the relationship between the distance of anti-glare plate, horizontal curve radius and anti-glare effect were analyzed systematically. Distance calculation formula of anti-glare plate in horizontal curve sections was revised in this paper. The anti-glare plate distance requirement under different expressway alignment design indexes and its calculation formula was proposed. The achievement was beneficial to confirm the anti-glare effect and improve traffic safety. It can provide us with a reference and a supplement of the specification.

Abstract: Intercity rail transit's ticket prices as the key sensitive factors affect passenger flow, which is related to the accuracy of the prediction. This paper provides a model based on equilibrium price sensitivity analysis method. In order to make clear the relationship between the intercity rail transit ticket price and passenger flow, analysing the average operation time, cost and other influence factors, establishing the utility function to calculate the utility value, according to the equilibrium flow model of passenger flow, we can get the passenger flow of all kinds of transportation under the equilibrium traffic, on this basis, the sensitivity analysis model is used to get the connection between the traffic and the travel ticket in different modes of transport, In the end ,taking Hang-Shao intercity rail transit for example to analysis the sensitivity of the price. The research results show that the model and the algorithm has the higher reliability.

Abstract: Typical points are selected on Ganmo Highway, the only bidirectional four-lane highway of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (hereinafter referred to as “Xinjiang Corps”), so as to measure the speeds of vehicles on the overtaking lane and corresponding inside clearances. The relationship between the inside clearances and speeds of different types of vehicles is studied by mathematical statistics so as to establish a model of the relationship between inside clearances and speeds. Based on the collision deformation of different barrier types and the demand for the actual functions of the central strip, how to select the width of the central strip and the barrier type of the arterial highway of Xinjiang Corps is analyzed. According to the results, there is a linear relationship between inside clearances and speeds of vehicles; monolithic concrete barriers require a small width of the central strip and they are cheap on the whole and suitable for the corps area.
