Abstract: In order to study on methods for and effect of improving performances of recycled concrete, this paper has adopted the recycled aggregates intensified by dipping in the chemical grout, on which basis, the recycled concrete is prepared through the double admixing technology, i.e. mixing of the high-quality mineral admixture and the high-efficient water reducer. The chloride ion permeability of the recycled concrete is researched in the laboratory. In the test, the electric flux, the total chloride ion content and the free chloride ion content at different depths of the recycled concrete have been obtained. The research has shown that dipping in the chemical grout is an effective way to intensify recycled aggregates and that recycled concrete prepared with the intensified recycled aggregates, high-quality mineral admixture and high-efficient water reducer features favorable permeability resistance.

Abstract: In order to research the temperature distribution law of the interstitial oil film on the hydrostatic center rack, the interstitial oil film on the hydrostatic center rack is taken as the research subject. Firstly, a three-dimensional model of the interstitial oil film is built by UG software. Secondly, the constructed three-dimensional model is meshed by ICEM CFD software. Lastly, the constructed finite element model is simulated using the finite element analysis software ANSYS CFX. The results of the simulation show that the temperature near the oil seal edge is higher than oil chamber and oil-returning slot. If the shaft parts rotate clockwise, the temperature of the right high-temperature zone is higher than the left. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the research on the thermal distortion of the middle pillow.

Abstract: To solve the problem which the driving torque and the driving power are insufficient in the main operation of the ceramic tile buffing machine, by the analysis of the driving drum’s force, propose a new measure of the drum’s covering-layer. The sphere coronal structure with convexity is designed on the surface of the covering-layer. Through the analysis of the force in the drum’s operation, it proves that this method could improve the friction coefficient on the surface of the drum, increase the friction driving force, so as to increase the driving torque and driving power.

Abstract: In this paper, on the basis of the dynamic response monitoring of the Xi’an Bell Tower, based on the random nature of traffic vibration, to use the vibration response data of ambient excitation directly, and obtained for monitoring the free decay of the Xi’an Bell Tower vibration signal response by using random decrement technique, then as this input, preparation of the corresponding computer program Matlab, has gotten the main dynamic parameters of the Bell Tower by using ITD method; in connection with the wooden beams of semi-rigid connection tenon characteristics, the upper wooden structure’s three dimensional finite element model, after Analysis of modal , fitting wooden the Bell Tower has been model tenon and mortise connection stiffness.

Abstract: Based on the Wanshan tunnel project located between Hefei and Fuzhou, the paper numerically simulates the excavation process of six-step CD method using the technology of element birth and death of finite element software ANSYS. And the soil stress, soil displacement and deformation are analyzed, which can provided a reference for similar engineering.

Abstract: Steps loading method was used to caculate the whole bending process of a composite beam loaded verticaly in order to accurately analyze the bending performance of composite beams. It has taken into account a variety nonlinear constitutive relations of different materials and based on the layered-step sections transformed method. The displacement of external prestressed steel bars were expressed with rotation angles at anchor points using finite bar elements method. This method is proved reasonable and reliable by comparative analysis of the calculating and the experimental results. It is feasible to analyze the forces and deformations of composite beams which were effcted by nonlinear material factors with layered-step sections transformed method.

Abstract: The foundation of LiShuiGou Aqueduct of ShiMen Reservoir is composed of long-short and large diameter piles, with great diameter and length differences between these new and old piles. Numerical simulation of the FEM software ADINA and the orthogonal experimental design theory are applied to explore the sensitivity of long-short pile foundation settlement, under different pile length, pile diameter, pile space, and soil constitutive model, with foundation settlement as the evaluation index. The results show that the descending order of the sensitivity of four factors is: pile length > pile diameter > pile space > soil constitutive mode. Some scientific and rational approaches and basis are consequently provided to explore the most effective reinforcement measures and design method for long-short and large diameter piles.

Abstract: Seismic response modification factor (R) and displacement amplification factor (Cd) are very important parameters to compute seismic force and to verify elasto-plasticity deformation in advanced seismic design. According to the present China Code for Seismic Design of Buildings,15 eccentrically braced steel frames are designed. R & Cd of 15 samples are computed by the Capacity Spectrum Method (CSM).Some correlative factors are analyzed and some reference is presented to the seismic design of these structures.

Abstract: The loess cave dwelling are very common along the Yellow River in China,which are really green building. This paper focus on the influence of cave leg’s width on the safety factor. Abaqus software and Strength Reduction Method are used. Results show that existing cave leg width is safe enough.

Abstract: In this paper, we discuss the design and calculation methods of elliptical-shaped corrugated steel culvert pipe (ECSCP) used in highway construction. With many advantages such as lightweight, environment friendly, cost-effective, rapid construction, etc., corrugated steel culvert pipe (CSCP) have been widely used in highway construction acting as the alternative of RC culvert in China in recent years. The ECSCP in this paper is a kind of culvert which is fabricated to an elliptical shape with several pieces of corrugated steel plates which are jointed by high strength bolts. This study is conducted on the basis of the ECSCP used in the construction of Shanghai North Outer Ring Line Highway in China. 3D FEM analysis is performed considering several parameters such as modulus of elasticity of the surrounding backfill soil, length of major and minor axis of elliptical-shaped section, eccentricity of vehicles. Some design methods are proposed in this paper, and they will be useful guidelines for safe design of ECSCP.
