Abstract: Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) is a new method for achieving an overall optimum design of the complex system. In this paper have researched how to make the mathematical model of the diesel engine system in the CO (Coordination Design Optimization) method, and applied it in the actual practice. The application result demonstrates that in this optimization method, we can achieve the optimal design of this diesel engine by the coordination of rationally configuring the design parameters, and improve the economy, the technical performance, the reliability and the service life of the designed engine.

Abstract: With the basic tool of the powerful secondary development function of UG NX and based on the analysis of the characteristics of typical mechanical parts, put forward a digital method and system of parametric design for the parts, created the relavent parts-library for the system. In the parametric design, mechanical parts were divided roughly into four classes according to GT. The characteristic parameters were selected from the shared attributes of each class. By utilizing the secondary development tool of UG/Open, compiled, connected by means of Visual C++, and realized the integration of a mechanical-part orientated UG system for parametric design with user-friendly interface and counterpart dynamic-link library files. Taking characteristic parameters of typical parts as the variables, different models were established through man-computer interaction according to size constraint, and then created the parts-library. The system has worked successfully taking the inner gear as example of the typical part, and given expected result. It is shown from the execution of system that the current system with the virtual parts-library can respond the designer's demand fast, avoid repetition, save manpower and time, and improve the speed of new product development significantly.

Abstract: The gate-type steel-shuttering jumbo is key construction equipment for tunnel lining, which is usually designed for customization according to the shape and size of the tunnel. Aiming at the insufficiency of existing methods in the jumbo design, the CAD/CAE technology is introduced into the domains of the jumbo design. In this paper, the gate-type steel-shuttering jumbo for spillway lining in Xiluodu hydropower station is designed, and virtual assembly is established based on three-dimensional digital model using Pro/E software. The stress and strain of the jumbo under different working conditions are analyzed by ANSYS. The result of finite element analysis can be regarded as the basis of structure design and optimization of the jumbo, and can be used to verify the design feasibility at the same time.

Abstract: Collaborative Optimization has been studied a lot in recent years as an algorithm. The Collaborative Optimization is a strategy of a secondary optimization based on the consistency constrained optimization methods. Take ADT’s transmission system as research object, establish collaborative optimization model of the 45 tons ADT transmission system. Set vehicle dynamics and fuel economy as the ultimate optimization goal and then do collaborative optimization. It shows that the results of collaborative optimization methods is better than traditional design. The result is applied to the design of 45 tons ADT transmission system, it has a practical engineering significance.

Abstract: The traditional methods of physique monitoring are limited to medical and hygienic science, which can not meet the requirements of development in modern society. We apply in this paper the method of RBF Neural Networks to the CAD system development of physique monitoring, and achieve a consulting result approximating to the domain expert knowledge with better performance.

Abstract: The traditional methods of fitness consulting are confined to medical and hygienic science, which can not meet the requirements of development in modern society. We apply in this paper the method of Support Vector Machines (SVM) to the design of fitness consulting CAD system. The consulting results demonstrate competive performance both in training time and approximation to the domain expert knowledge.

Abstract: The traditional methods of fitness monitoring are restricted to medical and hygienic science, which can not meet the requirements of development in modern society. We apply in this paper the method of Fuzzy Inference (FI) to the research of fitness monitoring CAD system. The monitoring results demonstrate competive performance both in training time and approximation to the domain expert knowledge.

Abstract: Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) can be added to polymers to prepare the organic/inorganic hybrid materials. Octaepoxysilsesquioxane (E-POSS) containing eight reactive epoxy groups in a molecule is one of the important POSSs. E-POSS was cured with methylnadic anhydride (MNA) in this study. The curing kinetics of the E-POSS/MNA system was studied by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Two different kinds of methods, Kinssinger and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa, were used to calculate the activation energy and pre-exponential factor of the curing reaction.
