Abstract: As a new pile type, short pile has been widely applied in many buildings especially high-rise buildings with good economic effect. However the theory of short pile has not been systematically established yet. In this paper, some interrelated theories and researches about short pile have been introduced include pile sinking theory, pile-soil interaction theory and settlement calculation research of pile foundation. At the end, some new directions of study about short pile have been pointed out.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is mainly to study the main coal-dust pollution sources in the coal preparation plants of Ping Shuo Branch of China National Coal Group. Through the combination of many measurement data with numerical simulation of gas-solid two-phase flow, dust precipitation mechanisms have been gained for the feeder in Ping Shuo Coal Preparation Plant. Dust pollution of the feeder is caused by the positive pressure of the induced feeding wind-flow and the bad seal itself. Firstly, the durable flexible seal material is used to seal up the feeder. Secondly, the seal guide-chute with the dust collector is installed on the belt. Finally, the air volume and the pressure of the dust collector are determined by means of numerical simulation, and the reasonability of the plan is explained from the angle of the dust control mechanism. The main technical parameters of the dust control plan, such as the seal guide-chute length, and the air volume and the pressure of the dust collector, are determined through the numerical simulation. The simulation result and the actual result verify the above dust control plans. The study methods and results provide a guide for the dust control in a certain similar business.

Abstract: Monitoring coal goaf mainly is arrangement of the wireless sensor network node in goaf to monitor the change of gas concentration and environmental temperature. This paper presents a clustering routing algorithm based on event-driven. In conventional circumstances, we adopt an improved LEACH algorithm. In the case of an event occurs, the nodes within the event region form a sub-cluster automatically, electing a cluster head node in cluster center. Cluster head after fusion data, in the direction of the shortest distance with the sink node forms a series of dynamic clustering and transmits the data to the sink node. Through MATLAB simulation studies show that the improved LEACH prolongs network life cycle efficaciously, clustering routing algorithm based on event-driven will transmits the data to the sink node reliably and in real time.

Abstract: CrNx coatings with different interlayer were deposited on AISI 304 stainless steel substrates by conventional DC magnetron sputtering technology. Effects of the concentration and preparing condition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the coatings were studied by using SEM, XRD and nanoindentation technique. The results show that all investigated CrNx coatings present a NaCl type crystal structure with a stronger (200) preferred orientation. However, the shift of CrN diffraction peaks and its orientation are different in CrNx coatings with different interlayer. Furthermore, there are Cr phases in the coatings that Cr/CrNx multilayer was alternately deposited in the interlayer. In three kinds of them, CrNx coatings that Cr/CrNx multilayer was alternately deposited in the interlayer show in turn higher hardness of about 31GPa and worse adhesion. On the contrary, CrNx coatings that the content of nitrogen was gradually increased in the interlayer present in turn lower hardness and best adhesion.

Abstract: To improve the yield rate of steel plates, a method of slab size design is proposed based on maximum yield rate of plates. It includes material transformations algorithm and optimization of slab selection. Many factors are considered in the model covering the equipment capacity, spread rate, compression rate, burning loss and cutting loss. Initially, all possible types of slabs are obtained through material transformations algorithm after the order input. This allows the eventual determination of the slabs of the largest yield rate through the optimization of slab selection. The experiments prove that the model can reduce a number of materials and lessen the pressure of the inventory. An effective increase of plate yield can be expected to improve the economic efficiency of enterprise.

Abstract: To solve the problem of the uncertain style knowledge acquisition during the product designing, the information model oft style with Kansei Engineering and a reduct approach to style information based on rough sets is introduced. On the basis of the attribute analysis of form features and the image semantic extractions by the web-based style evaluation system. In the system the evaluate information of style is obtained and the decision-making table is constructed. And then the valuable knowledge rules represented the typical product style are acquired through the attribute reduction algorithm. Finally, the attribute feature sets related to the different style image could be presented. Typical Ming-style chairs as an example to show that the method is effective and feasible.

Abstract: To direct at heating system when it adopts quantity adjustment. Taking a community in Zhangjiakou as an example, using the method of Graphic theory to analysis and compare these two operation schemes: adjusting parallel pump's valve in shared pipeline and adjusting parallel pump's valve in non-shared pipeline. We can know that adjusting parallel pump's valve in non-shared pipeline is energy-saving, when the flow in pipe network is bigger than 79% of the boiler's total circulating water. There is a lowest limit of system's circulating water, when adopt the method that adjusting the parallel pump's valve in non-shared pipeline, otherwise it would damage the pump.

Abstract: The removal of diesel exhausts by non-thermal plasma technology has been investigated focused on the simulation gas experiment at atmospheric pressure and room temperature for many years. However, the research for real diesel engine is need to be further studied. In the experiments, a non-thermal plasma (NTP) reactor was designed based upon dielectric barrier discharge. NO/NO2 conversion was studied as a function of the specific input energy (SIE) by varying the frequency and voltage applied on the NTP reactor through bench test. Results showed that NTP SIE was increased with the voltage at each frequency. The conversion of NO to NO2 was increased at higher NTP SIE. However, NO will further be converted to other active species but not only NO2.

Abstract: We present a new efficient XML encoding and labeling scheme for dynamic XML document called CFE (Continued Fraction-based Encoding) which labels nodes with continued fractions in this paper. CFE has three important properties which form the foundations of this paper. The experimental results show that CFE provides fairly reasonable XML query processing performance while completely avoiding re-labeling for updates.

Abstract: This paper presents a layered error resilient scheme for Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) coding which incorporates the Multiple Description Coding (MDC) into the data partition. The major feature of this scheme is that the MDC is adopted in the process of packetizing the spatial orientation trees, so as to protect the important information bits according to different importance and channel state. The proposed scheme can allocate redundancy accurately and flexibly, by differentiating importance of bits through different bit planes. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves good performance over packet erasure channels.
