Abstract: We report on a novel method for measurement of the strain in microcantilever, and a contactless measurement system for strain in microcantilever is designed and implemented based on position sensitive detector (PSD) using optical lever method. To verify the validity and accuracy of the results from measurement, a finite element model of the uniform strength microcantilever has been developed to simulate mechanical behavior in microcantilever based on finite element method (FEM). The results show that results obtained from FEM and measurement based on PSD show excellent agreement. This work has provided a novel and more effective method for measurement of the strain in microcantilever.

Abstract: To effectively detect and recognize multi-component Linear Frequency-Modulated (LFM) emitter signals, a multi-component LFM emitter signal analysis method based on the complex Independent Component Analysis(ICA) which was combined with the Fractional Fourier Transform(FRFT) was proposed. The idea which was adopted to this method was the time-domain separation and then time-frequency analysis, and in the low SNR cases, the problem which is generally plagued by noised of feature extraction of multi-component LFM signal based on FRFT is overcame. Compared to the traditional method of time-frequency analysis, the computer simulation results show that the proposed method for the multi-component LFM signal separation and feature extraction was better.

Abstract: Central air-conditioning energy saving under the control of the process of multi-parameter is a typical time-varying systems and nonlinear complex systems. In this paper, we analyzed and studied the process-oriented control system for central air-conditioning energy saving algorithm and architecture, and used evolutionary algorithm and PID control strategy to improve the existing control system. The new system makes the control system to achieve better function control and energy saving.

Abstract: In order to reduce the complexity of MPEG-2 to H.264 transcoding, an efficient fast mode decision algorithm is proposed. We apply machine learning principles by building a decision tree (the relationship between the information gathered during the MPEG-2 decoding stage and the H.264 coding modes of MBs) enabling the development of very low complexity transcoding mechanism. The decision tree is used to determine the coding modes of the P-frames MBs of the output H.264 encoded video sequences. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can dramatically reduce the transcoding time, with high quality and high coding efficiency of image.

Abstract: Presented in this article is a new accurate tool swept volume generation algorithm based on a generalized cutter for five-axis NC simulation and verification. Based on the surface envelope theory and the differential geometry, using analytical method, the strict deduction process of critical curve equation and swept envelope equation for generalized cutter are given. The motion feature of the cutter in five-axis machining is analyzed and the moving frame is established; Then, the detailed solving method of the cutter’s velocity is presented. Further, the accurate swept volume expression method and generation algorithm for generalized cutter are achieved. At last, the correctness and efficiency of the algorithm is verified by a fillet-end cutter’s experimental result.

Abstract: We recently proposed a technique able to analyze the trend of the seismic activity by combining neural network model and seismic factors. In this paper, a variation of seismicity was introduced to reflect the corresponding vary of the frequency of earthquake. This variation was used as the precursor of future moderate earthquake. The time intervals of earthquake will be obtained through training the neural network. Then we judge the occurrence of strong earthquakes according to the time intervals. Finally, some statistical researches were made by using the method for the earthquake catalog in Sichuan and Taiwan in China. Through this above, we verify the validity of this method and state the general steps of this method.

Abstract: In this paper, relay node’s communication capacity was introduced into the existing model of relay node placement. And we presented a new evaluation standard based on the minimum distance factor of communication network. A new relay node placement algorithm was implemented in solutions, and the algorithm was based on greedy optimization algorithm. The simulation result demonstrates that the algorithm can limit the communication capacity of relay nodes conveniently. Compared with other placement algorithms, improvement of energy-efficiencies in this algorithm is obvious.

Abstract: In this paper, we made an empirical analysis on China's listed tourism companies’ financial capability and operating performance. We used the SPSS software. We could learn the whole process from table 2 to table 5. This is the first time analyzing the relationship between financial capability and operating performance in tourism industry. The result shows that indicator of sales margin ratio has the most important relationship with operating performance, followed by the debt-to-asset ratio, inventory-turnover ratio and receivables-turnover ratio. The result is significant to the development of tourism industry in the future. China’s tourism companies should use the financial leverage moderately and improve the inventory-turnover ratio and receivables-turnover ratio constantly to make the company's operating performance reach to a new height.

Abstract: The paper gives a new configuration method for Multi-FPGA systems based on XCF32P. As an example, the method adopts slave SelectMAP model, uses a XCF32P and a CPLD XC9572 to configure four Virtex XCV200 FPGAs. The configuration hardware interface circuit and CPLD software control program are designed, due to adopt a single vendor solution program, the designs for software and hardware of systems are simplified, and it can receive a higher configuration rate.
