Abstract: After a series of chemical procedures of surface hydrolysis, acidchloride reaction and grafting, Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber was grafted from soybean milk and the soy protein-modified PAN fiber was obtained. The structures and morphologies of the grafted fiber were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).The results show that the surface of PAN fiber was covered by soy protein overlay film. Moisture absorption and mechanical properties were investigated. The grafted PAN fiber presented better hygroscopicity and still meet the requirement for wearing.

Abstract: This paper offers a method of spiral bevel gear’s global error measurement and evaluation based on three-coordinate measurement according to the characteristics of spiral bevel gear. The 3d solid modeling built in UG was regarded as the gear’s ideal factor of measure and error evaluation; the values of the measured points in the real gear tooth surface by CMM were regarded as the gear’s real factor. The global error of spiral bevel gear was reflected by the difference surface which was fitted by the deviation between real tooth surface and theoretical tooth surface. This method is very effective and feasible by measuring and evaluating the automobile rear axle’s driven gear.

Abstract: A three-stage architecture constructed by combining independent component analysis (ICA), gray correlation coefficient analysis (GCCA) and grey model GM(1, N) is proposed for evolution region innovation. In the first stage, ICA is used as feature extraction. In the second stage, GCCA is used as main factors select. In the third stage, GCCA is used to evolution innovation ability. The paper applies the ICA, grey relational analysis and grey non-linear regression analysis to study the factors affecting the ability of independent innovation in Chinese industrial enterprises from the empirical perspective. It is shown that the proposed method achieves is effective and feasible. And it provides a better estimate tool for the innovation activity. It also provides a novel way for the evolution design of the other engineering.

Abstract: Two kinds of sensor structures for 3D direct capacitance imaging are presented. 12 electrodes are arranged in three planes each with four electrodes. Every four electrodes on each plane are rotated 45° (sensor 1) or 0° (sensor 2) with reference to the previous. A comparative study between the two sensors shows that although the difference in sensor’s sensitivities and outputs is obvious, the difference in reconstruction images isn’t apparent, at least for some permittivity distribution. The output range of sensor 1 is smaller than that of sensor 2, thus sensor 1 is better than sensor 2 in terms of the design of a capacitance measuring circuit. Both sensors can achieve 3D direct capacitance imaging with a good axial resolution.

Abstract: An ECT data acquisition system usually has N-1 measurement channels or single measurement channel. In order to solve the contradiction between system speed and system cost, a 16-electrode electrical capacitance tomography system with double measurement channels has been designed. It has good anti-noise ability and stray-immunity by using ac-based capacitance measuring circuits. A switch network is used to set each electrode at excitation mode, detection mode or idle mode. The influence of switch coupling capacitances is discussed and its soft compensation method is proposed. By using LabVIEW, remote monitoring and distributing data or images over network can be implemented easily.

Abstract: Discrete logarithm problem is an important trapdoor function to design asymmetric cryptosystem, and some fast public key cryptosystems have been designed based on it. In the paper, we introduced fast asymmetric cryptosystem into the designing and analyzing of blind signature, and presented improved blind signature schemes based on ECC (Elliptic Curves Cryptosystem). The trapdoor function of the blind signatures is based on ECDLP (Elliptic Curves Discrete Logarithm Problem), and the algorithms of the scheme make full use of the superiority of ECC, such as high efficiency and short key length. The improved blind signature schemes can achieve the same security level with less storing space, smaller communication band-width and less overheads regarding software and hardware application. Furthermore, the algorithms in the schemes can be generalized into other public key cryptosystems based on discrete logarithm problem without any influence to efficiency or security.

Abstract: HCC (Hyper-elliptic Curves Cryptosystem) is a typical public key cryptosystem with high efficiency and security. In the paper, we introduced HCC into the designing of e-cash schemes and presented an improved e-cash scheme with formal security analysis. The basic cryptography algorithms in e-cash are based on the complexity of HCDLP (Hyper-elliptic Curves Discrete Logarithm Problem). This designing strategy improves the efficiency for software and hardware application and effectively reinforces the security of e-cash. Dishonest users and outer adversaries can not attack secret parameters with feasible polynomial algorithms. As for scheme analyzing, we presented subliminal channel in signature to attack the IND-CCA2 property of the e-cash scheme, the subliminal channel algorithms can not attack the private keys or secret parameters with polynomial complexity either. Therefore, the scheme proves to be feasible for application with high efficiency and security.

Abstract: Due to the increasingly serious water quality degradation on river, the study on river water quality status assessment has attracted more and more attention of the researchers and decision-makers. In this paper, water quality assessment of Fujiang River from January 2005 to December 2005 was studied by projection pursuit model (PPM). The water quality status of Fujiang River was assessed by the use of 10 monitoring sections, with DO, CODMn, BOD5, NH3-N, Petroleum, and Volatile phenol indicators. Based on the PPM analysis procedures, the assessed sections are described into 1 “category 1”, 4 “category 2” and 5 “category 3” states in 2005. The relative comparison results show that water quality status spatial order of Fujiang River from bad to good is: Fj09<Fj02< Fj10<Fj07< Fj03<Fj05<Fj04< Fj06<Fj08<Fj01.

Abstract: Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system which provides high spectral efficiency has obvious advantages in robustness against the multipath delay spread and the fading channel. One of the major disadvantages of such a multi-carrier modulated system is the sensitivity of its performance to synchronization error, such as phase noise and frequency offset. Phase noise is caused by the mismatch between the transmitter and the receiver oscillators. Phase noise in an OFDM system can destroy the orthogonality of the subcarriers and cause inter-carrier interference (ICI). Phase noise resulting in common phase error (CPE) and Inter-Carrier Interference is a critical challenge to the implementation of OFDM systems. In this paper, the phase noise effects of the IEEE 802.16e OFDMA systems are compensated. The practical cluster-based method which is used to estimate either the CPE or the ICI coefficients in the fading channel and compensate the effects of phase error is also proposed. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the performance caused by phase noise.

Abstract: Super-resolution (SR) restoration produces one or a set of high resolution images from low-resolution observations. In particular, SR restoration involves many multidisciplinary studies. A review on recent SR restoration approaches was given in this paper. First, we introduced the characteristics and framework of SR restoration. The state of the art in SR restoration was surveyed by taxonomy. Then we summarized and analyzed the existing algorithms of registration and reconstruction. A comparison of performing differences between these methods would only be valid given. After that we discussed the SR problems of color images and compressed videos. At last, we concluded with some thoughts about future directions.
