Abstract: The construction and maintenance of roads in China require large amounts of aggregates and mineral filler. The use of recycled materials helps conserving natural resources. However, the inferior road performance and additional costs have hindered the widespread use of construction and demolition wastes (C&D wastes) in applications such as surface layers of asphalt pavement that may represent a value application for C&D wastes. Waste concrete, waste bricks and waste glass are selected for this study; and the surface layers of asphalt pavement is considered here as value application. Although there is a large potential for supplying C&D wastes now, a few barriers have effectively depressed the recycling activities. Such barriers are described here and a brief discussion suggests ways of their removal.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem that bone cells can not adhere to the pore wall, the paper introduces a new method that combines RP method with electrostatic spinning method is used for the preparation of a comprehensive new bone scaffold technology, and pays close attention on the automatic control of process parameters, the feeding speed. According to the model of feed speed and the diameter of nano-fibers, a theoretical guidance is given to the real-time control of feed speed, and a new feeding device, including the configuration software iFIX, a microcontroller, a sensor and stepping motor, is presented. It can give a real-time effective control of the feed speed, which provides a theoretical and technological basis for the quality of scaffolds prototyping.

Abstract: To improve uniformity of quality in tobacco redrying process, an ANN-based method is proposed to predict the possible output of post-redrying. Firstly, this paper presents an intelligent process control model with ANN. And then, it describes the three-layers network and improves BP algorithm by using the method of variable learning rate, in which 10 process parameters were selected as inputs, the moisture and temperature of post-redrying as outputs, and one hidden with 25 neurons is designed. Finally, the ANN is trained to map the nonlinear relationship between inputs and outputs. With the analyses and comparisons, the result obtained shows that the prediction of possible output has higher accuracy by this improved ANN-based method. Such model designed can be suitable for quality improvement in the tobacco redrying process.

Abstract: Mo-Ti3SiC2 layered composite was successfully prepared by spark plasma sintering at 1573 K for 20 min under a pressure of 50 MPa in vacuum. The Mo and Ti3SiC2 layers were metallurgically bound together without noticeable superficial defects and micro-cracks at the interface. The fabricated Mo-Ti3SiC2 layered composite was annealed at 1273 K under vacuum for 5, 10, 20 and 40 h to study the composite’s thermal stability. Three intermediate layers, Mo2C, MoSi2 and Ti5Si3Cx, were formed at the interface. Experimental results showed that the Mo-Ti3SiC2 layered composite prepared in this study has good interfacial stability at elevated temperature.

Abstract: The active vibration control system are described in this paper, and the controller was designed for the active control system, the controller is based on ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller core, ICP series acceleration sensor is use for signal acquisition module, the A / D converter module was designed based on ADS1158 chip, the D/ A converter module was designed based on DAC8564 chip. The controller has the characteristics of high speed and versatility.

Abstract: In order to improve the performance of granite asphalt mixtures, as well as make full use of waste concrete, the AC-25 asphalt mixtures were prepared using fine recycled concrete aggregate and coarse granite aggregate. The moisture stability, high-temperature property, low-temperature property and fatigue property of asphalt mixtures were investigated. Results indicate that fine recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) improves the moisture stability and low-temperature property of granite asphalt mixtures which can meet the requirements of China’s Technical Specification for Construction of Highway Asphalt Pavements (JTG F40-2004) and even are better than those of traditional limestone asphalt mixtures. Meanwhile, fine RCA makes the advantage of granite asphalt mixtures in high-temperature property more distinct with good fatigue property.

Abstract: The characteristics and the development restrict factors in large-diameter area of the traditional three-product heavy medium cyclone are described. The paper mainly describes the structure and principles of large-diameter & energy-saving more medium supplied gravity-fed three-product heavy medium cyclone. The simulation analysis of this cyclone (DWP type) is presented. The results show that this type of more medium supplied cyclone is better than the one medium supplied cyclone for it has a faster separation speed, high processing ability and better separation efficiency. The applications in field of the 3SNWX1500/1100-Ⅳ type cyclone which using the new technology indicated that there have energy-saving, a high output, a stable separation efficiency, a high precision and a significant economic benefits.
