Abstract: The effect of carbon fiber surface treatment on interfacial mechano-electric properties of carbon fiber reinforced concrete is studied by single fiber pull-out testing. As-received carbon fiber is with poor surface polarity, and the fiber-matrix interface bonding strength is low. Surface treatment of the carbon fiber improves both the interfacial bonding strength and the interfacial ductility. The interfacial bonding force and interfacial resistance increased linearly with increasing displacement until the fiber-matrix debonding was completed. The superior interfacial mechanical properties can help improve the strain-sensing ability relates to the better repeatability and reliability. But the sensitivity decreases to some extent.

Abstract: A hybrid genetic algorithm based on Pareto was proposed and applied to the flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) with bi-objective, and the bi-objective FJSP optimization model was built, where the make-span and the production cost were concerned. The algorithm embeds Pareto ranking strategy into Pareto competition method, and the niche technology and four kinds of crossover operations are used in order to promote solution diversity. Pareto filter saves the optimum individual occurring in the course of evolution, which avoids losing the optimum solutions. This hybrid genetic algorithm reasonably assigns the resources of machines and workers to jobs and achieves optimum on some performance. In this paper, the influence of the proportion of workers and machines on the scheduling result is researched on the basis of the hybrid genetic algorithm and the result is in accord with other researchers. In conclusion, the algorithm proposed in this paper is available and efficient.

Abstract: This paper introduces the basic conception of the reverse engineering, process of digital measurement and 3-D modeling method based RE technology: one is based on point-curve-curved surface reconstruction, and the other is based on point-curved surface fitting directly. According to the first method, the processes of data gathering, cloud data processing and 3-D model rebuilding are introduced through reconstructing the 3-D models of the gauge board and left board in Imageware and UGNX. Using the reverse engineering technology in product design will shorten the period of developing a new product and accelerate it’s response to the market.

Abstract: Traditional optical lithography techniques to fabricate three-dimensional (3D) nanostructures are complicated and time consuming. Due to the capability to replicate nanostructures repeatedly in a large area with high resolution and uniformity, nanoimprint (NI) has been recognized as one of the promising approaches to fabricate 3-D nanostructures with high throughput and low cost. This paper introduces a novel 3-D nanostructure fabrication method by nanoimprint on silicon substrate. Nanoscale gratings and microlens array are taken as examples of 3-D nanostructures fabricated by nanoimprint. High fidelity demonstrates the possibility of nanoimprint to fabricate 3-D nanostructures on silicon substrate.

Abstract: The wide use of galvanized steel in automobile manufacturing brings much challenge to the roof to body-side laser welding process. Fillet joint is an effective way to solve this problem such as pore in laser welding process. However, there is little research on this type of complicated joint process. Focused on this problem, take metallographic size of weld seam as the weld quality criteria, response surface methodology (RSM) is used to study the influence of laser welding parameters on weld seam quality. Finally, the optimum welding parameters are concluded to give technical instructions for the plant production.

Abstract: Fuzzy time series have in recent years drawn many scholars' attention due to their ability can handle the time series data with incomplete, imprecise and ambiguous pattern. However, most traditional time series models employed only single variable (stock index) in forecasting, yet ignored some factors that would also affect the stock volatility. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel forecasting model using multi-factor fuzzy time series model to forecast TAIEX (Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock index). Multi-factor fuzzy time series model is composed of three main components: stock index, trading volume and interactions between two stock markets. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed model, the transaction records of TAIEX (Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock index) and NASDAQ(National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) from 2000/01/04 to 2003/12/31 are used as experimental dataset and the root mean square error (RMSE) as evaluation criterion. The results show that the proposed model outperforms the listing models in accuracy for forecasting Taiwan stock market.

Abstract: In the recent years, traditional time series model has been widely researched. The previous time series methods can predict future problems based on historical data, but have a problem that determines subjectively the length of intervals. Song and Chissom[6-7]proposed the fuzzy time series to solve the problem of traditional time series methods. So far, many researchers have proposed different fuzzy time series models to deal with uncertain and vague data. Besides, the consideration of a forecasting stage only discusses the relations for previous period and next period. In addition, a shortcoming of previous time series models didn’t consider appropriately the weights of fuzzy relations. This study builds fuzzy rule based on association rules and compute the cardinality of each fuzzy relation. Then, calculating the weights of fuzzy relations solve above problems. Moreover, the proposed method is able to build the multiple periods fuzzy rules based on concept of large itemsets of Apriori. To verify the proposed model, the gold price datasets is employed as experimental datasets. This study compares the forecasting accuracy of proposed model with other methods, and the comparison results show that the proposed method has better performance than other methods.

Abstract: study seeks to solve the optimization problem of different engineering designs by using nonlinear mixed integer programming mode. In the past, this type of engineering design optimization problem has been widely studied and discussed. They are usually solved through mathematical programming method or heuristics. However, there are more constraints and more constraints that cannot be satisfied. In solving this type of problems, we used a penalty guided cooperative particle swarm optimization to avoid the disadvantage of decreased efficiency from the increase of search spatial dimension and to raise the efficiency. In resolving the problems of five engineering design problems, including system reliability design and machine parts design problem, the data from the study indicate that the solutions from cooperative particle swarm optimization are equal or better than the best-known solutions from past literature. Thus, the results of this study show that cooperative particle swarm optimization is another effective method to find solutions to optimization problems.
