Abstract: For the problem of distribution center location about 0-1 mixed integer programming, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvable model are given. A heuristic algorithm is designed with the idea of the greedy algorithm by further combined the model characteristics. It is proved that the algorithm could quickly converge to satisfactory solution, and the algorithm is bounded by polynomial time, and the complexity of the algorithm is given.

Abstract: Lean manufacturing is a proven approach for success in manufacturing industry. However, several organisations failed in their attempt to implement lean manufacturing system. The transition to lean manufacturing requires radical change which involves a total reshaping of purpose, system and culture of the organisation. This paper presents an investigation on the influence of organisational change to the transition of lean manufacturing. This study used an explanatory mixed method approach, which began with survey distribution, and then the general picture was further refined by conducting in-depth interviews on Malaysia automotive companies. The results revealed that company which emphasized on leadership and management, change agent system, effective communication, worker’s empowerment through training and team development, and also lean review system experienced smooth transition to lean manufacturing system. Failure to recognize the required organisational changes to adapt lean manufacturing system will hinder the long-term benefits of the organisation.

Abstract: The cases of resource ability occupation are always simplified in the traditional study of modeling and simulation (M&S) of manufacturing system, which commonly leads to the situation of untruthful model and unbelieving outcome during simulation. For this problem, a flexible capacity constraint modeling method and its simulation control mechanism are proposed. On the background of similar issues in production, such as parallel occupation of resources, and discrete combination occupation of resource capacities, a modeling framework for production constraints based on hierarchy simulation model is brought forward. First, a fundamental model is established automatically by data-driven modeling method; then, the constraint model is set up through extending of data structure and transforming of control logic. So universal modeling under condition of resource capacity constraint is realized. Next, its simulation control mechanism is analyzed for typical issues of resource ability occupation. At last, effectiveness of above technological route is verified by case study.

Abstract: The performance of Networked Control System (NCS) is not only determined by controller, but also by network QoS. In this paper, aiming at the bandwidth scheduling problem of multiple closed loop control system, an approximate linear function of continuous system performance with delay and sample period is proposed firstly, and then the optimal scheduling algorithm under both non-preemptive rate monotonic (NPRM) schedulability constraint and NCS stability constraint is proposed which is to optimize the overall performance of NCS. Moreover, an algorithm of sample periods harmonization is presented to improve the bandwidth utilization. A reservation-based schedule of non-period data is also taken into account. Finally, an integrated simulation platform based on Truetime is present, and the experimental results show that the scheme is more effective than the former ones.

Abstract: To solve the problem of lack of assemble knowledge in ship virtual assembly system, a novel rough-set theory based knowledge discovery model is studied to find the process knowledge hidden in virtual assembly. First the typical knowledge structure used in ship virtual assembly is analyzed and improved into a generalized definition using the object-oriented technology. The technology solution to develop knowledge discovery model for ship virtual assembly is proposed based on rough set theory. All the key technologies such as Petri-RS information transformation model, RS attribute reduction and knowledge management technologies are analyzed respectively for real engineering application. The developed knowledge discovery system of the ship virtual assembly can realize the data processing and mining, to discover useful assembly knowledge automatically. Further with an engineering example from virtual assembly in shipbuilding enterprises, this paper provides a technical solution to disvover useful assembly knowlege, reduce assembly time for ship building in real product line, to enhance production efficiency obviously.

Abstract: The weight and gravity center control are very important in the manufacturing process of offshore engineering structure, which should be guaranteed to meet the designed requiements strictly. In this paper, the tolerance allocation algorithm and dynamic adjustment method for offshore engineering manufacturing are proposed based on the Dimensional Chain theory. Moreover, the control and management system is developed by analyzing the features of offshore engineering project management. By using of the system, digital and programmed control of weight and gravity center can be realized, and the manufacturing level of offshore engineering is enhanced.

Abstract: This document explains and demonstrates how to construct JDF data agent tools on .NET Linq platform. This Agent has the ability to create a Job, to add Nodes to an existing Job, and to modify existing Nodes. It is based on the structure of JDF standard and the definition of markup, and packages the node of each layer and its complicated parameters and data type into the object, forming a programming language model that is based on JDF markup object, and reducing the complexity of developing the printing digital process software basing-on JDFXML standard, providing a reference for developing the same distributed digital system basing-on XML driver.

Abstract: This paper presents preventive maintenance based condition of key equipments in MES and management of job shop scheduling. A comprehensive mathematical model between multi-key-equipments preventive maintenance and job shop scheduling is offered. Assuming key equipment’s failure probability obeys the Weibull distribution and unifying the time estimation and preventive maintenance of the key equipments’ failure and decision–making of job shop scheduling, the goal of achieving multi-key-equipments’ max utilization rate is developed.

Abstract: The quality of remanufacturing products, which is always restricting the development of remanufacturing industry, is one of sixty-four-dollar questions. By detecting the cores, process control in remanufacturing production and certificating remanufacturing products, quality control of remanufacturing products is studied. Because of cores different in original states, remanufacturing is in low-volume on the whole. Based on Bayesian posterior analysis, the paper improves the control chart and uses the previous data to monitor the production process. Finally, some advances are given to remanufacturing product certification.
