Abstract: Homogeneous nano-CuS were synthesized by phase-transfer method, and the preparatory conditions were studied in detail. The synthesized nano-CuS was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The results indicated that the as-prepared nano-CuS showed a willow-like structure with average diameter of 30-40 nm. Then a novel carbon paste electrode (CPE) based on these nano-CuS was prepared, and its chemical characteristics were researched. The modified CPE based on nano-CuS was used to detect of H2O2, and a satisfactory result was achieved.

Abstract: In this work, the cross-linking density and frequency sweep, temperature sweep of NR dried by microwave were tested by using nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR) and rubber process analyzer (RPA), respectively. And the test results were compared with those of NR dried by hot-air. The results showed that the cross-linking density and A(Mc) for NR dried by microwave were bigger than those for NR dried by hot-air, but the A(T2) of latter was bigger; the frequency sweep results showed that the elastic modulus of NR dried by hot-air increased slower with the increase of frequency than those of NR dried by microwave , and the tanδ of NR dried by hot-air decreased with the increase of frequency slower than those of NR dried by microwave in low frequency phase, respectively; the temperature sweep results showed that the elastic modulus of NR dried by hot air were smaller compared with those of NR dried by microwave in the entire scanning process, but, the tanδ value of former was bigger.

Abstract: In this paper, using the wasted beverage cans, the alumina nanofibre was fabricated via electrospinning method. The effects of various processing variables on the morphology of electrospun nanofibres were discussed, such as solution concentration, spinning voltage strength and deposition distance. The results showed that the proper solution could be obtained after the surface of the beverage cans were treated. When the PVP concentration was 6%, spinning voltage was 30kv and the deposition distance was 13cm, the alumina nanofibre with uniform diameter, excellent structure and good morphological feature could be obtained.

Abstract: Large-scale fabrication of ZnO nanowire (NW) based devices with a low cost process is a key issue in practical application. In this paper, we report a simple and sufficient self-assembly process to prepare highly dense, uniform ZnO NW films. In this process, the NWs are modified with the aminopropyltriethoxy silane (APTES) to form the positively charged amine-terminated layer, so they are adsorbed on negatively charged SiO2/Si substrates to form ZnO NW films by the electrostatic interaction in aqueous solution. Nanowire thin-film transistors (NW-TFTs) based on the prepared ZnO NW films are fabricated. A typical NW-TFT exhibited a current on/off ratio of 2.7×105, a transconductance of 546 nS and a field-effect mobility of 8.9 cm2/V•s. This study may pave the way toward large-scale fabrication of ZnO NW based devices with simple, sufficient and low cost process.

Abstract: Hexagonal flower-like CdS nanostructures were successfully synthesized through a facile hydrothermal method with thiourea as sulfur source. By combining the results of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), the structural and morphological characterizations of the products were performed. The photocatalytic activity of CdS nanostructures had been tested by degradation of Rhodamine B (RB) under UV light compared to commercial CdS powders, which indicated that the as-syntherized CdS nanostructures exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity for degradation of RB. The possible growth mechanism of CdS nanostructures was proposed in the end.

Abstract: In this paper, industrial diamonds using pure Fe powder catalyst with additive Si has been synthesized by HPHT method. Optical microscope, XRD and SEM were utilized for observation and detection. The influences of additive Si on the synthesis have been investigated from several aspects such as the diamond-forming conditions, the composition of synthesized sample and inclusions in diamond, and the morphology character of diamonds etc. The results indicate that the formation of SiC, which should have been in a solid state during the synthesis.

Abstract: X80 pipeline steel specimens were treated by electrochemical hydrogen charging under various current density and charging time. The polarization resistance and corrosion rate of X80 steel were analyzed in Yingtan simulated soil solution under the different hydrogen charging conditions. The results showed that hydrogen accelerated anodic dissolution and enhanced corrosion sensitivity. With hydrogen in the steel, the charge transfer resistance and polarization resistance decreased, double electric layer capacitor and corrosion current increased. The effects were enhanced with the increase of hydrogen charging time and current density.

Abstract: Chitosan nanoparticles were successfully prepared by chemical cross-linking with vanillin. The nanoparticles were spherical in shape with smooth surface, and the average particle size of chitosan nanoparticles was 141 nm. The formulation of chitosan nanoparticles is based on Shiff reaction between aldehyde group of vanillin and amino group of chitosan. Chitosan nanoparticles prepared by crosslinking with vanillin are promising vehicle for the drug delivery of various anticancer drugs in the chemotherapy of cancers.

Abstract: For different gas sensing, the preparation of Zinc Oxide (ZnO) thin film gas sensor has its particularity. In this paper, three kinds of preparation methods, fitting for CO and methane and CO2 sensing, are introduced. Moreover, the sensitivity is respectively analyzed as gas sensors. The reference is provided for the preparation and applications of ZnO thin film gas sensor.
