Abstract: Based on the characteristics of video storage, this paper analyzes the shortages of existing file system in video application. Then a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) special-purpose file system is proposed. In this special file system efficient video storage and retrieval can be achieved. Video pictures of specified time can be positioned quickly and accurately.

Abstract: Image segmentation is the key steps of image processing and analysis. In image processing process, first, we need make the image into a number of significant areas and the interested objects; this need use image segmentation technology. This paper summarizes the methods of image segmentation. Mainly the image segmentation approach of based on fractal is analyzed, and this method has received good result of image segmentation, it proved that fractals-based method of image segmentation is an effective way.

Abstract: The fractal characteristics of pore structures were investigated using duck eggshells as an object of study. The images of the sharp end, the equator and the blunt end of the eggshells were acquired by using scanning electronic microscope. The image processing operations were conducted for the preprocessing and the image converted into binary image. Then we developed programs based on the principle of changing megascopic degree and applied them to plot the lgN(δ)~lg(δ).The relationship between lgN(δ)and lg(δ)maintained linearity over a range [2,64] pixels. Therefore, the fractal dimensions of pore distributions were obtained from the negative slope by regression analysis. The experimental results showed that the fractal feature of the pore in eggshells was remarkable. The analysis confirmed that the blunt end of the eggshell in the pore distributions was more obvious than the sharp end and the equator.

Abstract: Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM) servo system was widely used in high precision application and advanced control strategy was necessary for its control system. Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller (CMAC) neural network was introduced into control system with conceptual mapping and physical mapping process analyzed, also the mathematical models of PMLSM was constructed. The compound control system with PID controller as feedback control and CMAC neural network as feed- forward control was constructed. The simulation shows the controller can realize inverse dynamic model and robust control.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel method is proposed for solving an open problem of shape matching in content-based image retrieval. Our method regards the stack-triangles geometrics histogram to be the feature of an image, the correlation of two images was decided by the compare result of their stack-triangles geometrics histograms. First of all, these methods extract the key contour fragments of an image, so that a shape can be presented as many key contour fragments in this way. In addition, we derivation stack triangles of a shape by the key contour fragments we get it before. Then, we can get the stack-triangles geometrics histogram of the image and calculate the correlation of two images use their stack-triangles geometrics histogram. Finally, experiment results show that our new method is a very fast method and can get more robustness than existing methods and achieve a good effect in the standard shape databases MPEG-7.

Abstract: In this paper, an object tracking approach is introduced for color video sequences. The approach presents the integration of color distributions and probabilistic principal component analysis (PPCA) into particle filtering framework. Color distributions are robust to partial occlusion, are rotation and scale invariant and are calculated efficiently. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used to update the eigenbasis and the mean, which can reflect the appearance changes of the tracked object. And a low dimensional subspace representation of PPCA efficiently adapts to these changes of appearance of the target object. At the same time, a forgetting factor is incorporated into the updating process, which can be used to economize on processing time and enhance the efficiency of object tracking. Computer simulation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and the robustness of the proposed tracking algorithm when the target object undergoes pose and scale changes, defilade and complex background.

Abstract: In order to improve the performance of feature-based template matching techniques, several research papers have been published. Real-time applications require the computational complexity of keypoint matching algorithms to be as low as possible. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the keypoint detection stage of feature-based template matching algorithms. Our experiment results show that the proposed method outperforms keypoint matching techniques in terms of speed, keypoint stability and repeatability.

Abstract: In the test system, all kinds of signals need to be processed. In order to meet the need of test system,we propose a kind of method of overall design of the real-time monitoring and storage of analog signal and digital signal. And we descript that how the data is sent to PC to real-time monitor and how we read out the data of the storage, and at the same time, the effect of the real-time monitoring is mentioned. After the application of the practice, the stability and the reliability of the collection system get confirmed.

Abstract: Recently, flash memory is becoming a popular data storage device in most of the electronic consumer devices. It has lots of attractive features such as small size and light weight nature, zero noise, solid-state reliability, low power consumption, and better shock resistant. To make it suitable for real-time embedded applications, this paper presents the design of an object based file system that uses parallel operations to guarantee bounded read-write access latencies to real-time tasks, in the presence of requests from non real-time tasks. The proposed scheme requires minimal support from the underlying operating system.

Abstract: Irresponsible driving is one of the leading causes of mishaps & deaths in the world today. The present work aims at developing a preventive solution to this problem in the form of a driving aid for drunk drivers or people who are not in a fit state to drive. The said system proposes to enhance certain existing frameworks using image processing. Haar-wavelet classifiers & Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) algorithm are used to analyze images of the drivers' eyes & patterns of movement to judge if they are eligible to drive. These complement the existing sensors, like the odor sensor, and help the system reach a confident decision. We plan to take this system further by creating collaborative MANETs among vehicles for preventing potential harm to other drivers as well.
