Abstract: In order to monitor the plant growth in greenhouse, a new method based on GPRS and Internet wireless communication technology was introduced in this paper. It is a system involving S3C2410 of ARM9 kernel as the microprocessor chip, which can be run in Linux operating system and takes the wireless transmission mode of GPRS+Internet as an adoption. The structure of the whole system, hardware design and image acquisition and transmission framework were introduced. A detailed explanation was given about planted method of operating system in the paper.

Abstract: In this work, a simulative study on the cost of multisource ALM routing protocols is presented. The authors discuss a multiplicative pricing model for multisource ALM based on the single-source cost model. By simulating various ALM protocols, the study discovered that a multiplicative characteristic is held between the cost of single-source and multisource ALM routing. The multiplicative pricing model makes the minimum cost of multisource ALM more clear for protocol designer and gives a intuitive way to examine the cost of a designed multisource ALM without incurring too many computation complexity.

Abstract: The design of a high speed programmable frequency divider for fractional-N frequency synthesizer is presented. The programmable divider consists of a divide-by-4/5 dual-modulus prescaler, a 5-bit programmable counter, and a 2-bit swallow counter. A new scheme of reload operation is adopted to reduce the propagation delay of the critical path. The triggering signal for the two counters is selected carefully to mitigate the timing requirement of the mode control signal. The divider is designed in 0.18 um CMOS process. Its division ratio (DR) covers the range from 12 to 127. Post-layout simulations show it can work up to 5 GHz under 1.8 V power supply, while consuming only 9 mW and occupying an area of about 0.06 mm2.

Abstract: In this paper, we study a method for sparse signal recovery with the help of iteratively reweighted least square approach, which in many situations outperforms other reconstruction method mentioned in literature in a way that comparatively fewer measurements are needed for exact recovery. The algorithm given involves solving a sequence of weighted minimization for nonconvex problems where the weights for the next iteration are determined from the value of current solution. We present a number of experiments demonstrating the performance of the algorithm. The performance of the algorithm is studied via computer simulation for different number of measurements, and degree of sparsity. Also the simulation results show that improvement is achieved by incorporating regularization strategy.

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a kernel canonical correlation analysis (KCCA) based idle-state detection method for asynchronous steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) systems. KCCA method can offer a flexible nonlinear solution to adequately extract nonlinear features of multi-electrode electroencephalogram signals. Based on this method, an ensemble KCCA coefficients feature model is proposed by weighting effectively multi-harmonic information and afterwards a threshold classification strategy for idle-state detection is presented. The weights of the model and optimal threshold are trained by the presented parameters learning scheme. Using our method, offline analysis was performed on 10 subjects with 8 fixed common electrodes. The results showed that the idle state could be detected with 95.9% average accuracy when SSVEP could be determined with 93.8% average accuracy. Further, the analysis verified the effectiveness and significant superiority of our method over other widely used ones.

Abstract: The power grid storm disaster monitoring system involves power system data, geomagnetic data, satellite data and other earth space observation data. To solve such problems as the system's large quantity of data, storage and processing difficulties, using cloud computing in the system is putting forward. The basic concepts and the services of cloud computing are introduced first. From the aspects of the front-end data collection and communication methods to the background software data processing, the GIC (geomagnetically-induced current) monitoring system is showed. Then the issues of the continuous expansion of the system are analyzed in detail. The architecture of the power grid storm disaster monitoring system based on cloud computing is given. Security problem of implementation of the system using cloud computing technology are finally discussed.

Abstract: Cardiovascular Monitoring[1], which is important evidence used to analyze the therapeutic efficacy, plays a significant role in the operation. A multi-parameter monitoring system is introduced in this paper. The system not only detects initial physiologic signals like photoplethysmographic pulse signal, blood pressure and electrocardiogram signal, but also extracts cardiovascular parameters, including the amplitude of photoplethysmogram, area ratio, pulse beat interval, pulse decay time constant, etc. The operating principle of the system, hardware composition, a flow chart of software module, direction of data flow and algorithm for extracting parameters are introduced. Finally, a validation clinical experiment was undertaken, and results confirmed that the system realized real-time monitoring of cardiovascular parameters, which reflected the variation of cardiovascular system during surgery and could assist doctors with drug administration.

Abstract: Health management is the whole process of conducting the comprehensive monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of the health of individuals or groups, providing health consultation and guidance, and intervening in risk factors of health, to mobilize individual and collective initiatives, and to make effective use of limited resources to achieve optimal health results. In this paper, through the study of the development status of health management at home and abroad, in combination with the health management needs of average families, using visual basic6.0 language, it designs and implements a health management system covering three levels of the health information management, health risk assessment and health education; the system can electronically store personal medical information, can analyze medical data and provide report forms, and can evaluate risk factors of people’s health, assess risks of chronic diseases, and assess health quality, and can also provide a fully functional health education, such as daily health care, information of common diseases, and pharmacopoeia information.

Abstract: Study the issue of hospital information performance, improve hospital information management efficiency. For the issue of hospital information system disk competition, high-speed buffers and low hit rate shared pool, resulting in the problem of long time user waiting, low efficient system support for system throughput, optimization improvement for hospital information systems. First, to optimize the architecture of the database, and then rationally design system global area, disk I / O and connection pool etc in the memory area, finally reasonably organize the SQL statement. Apply to the optimized hospital information system into the Medical, example shows that optimized hospital information system improved system throughput, reduced the user waiting time, and greatly improved the operation efficiency of Medical College.
