Abstract: Genetic Algorithm (GA) belongs to elementary stochastic optimization algorithms inspired by evolution. It points out the ability of simple representations using bit strings to encode complicated structures and the power of simple transformations to reach the desired solution. Research shows that a new operator namely Selective Clonal Mutation (SCM) for better genetic solutions has been successfully developed so that faster convergence to the best desired solution could be obtained. This operator has produced the best fitness value as compared to the conventional genetic algorithm result within 50 generation, Selective Clonal Mutation (SCM) is able to produce the best fitness value at 0.01731 with optimum voltage 10.05V in solar tracking environment.

Abstract: How to efficiently select Web services that can best meet the requirements of consumers is an ongoing research direction in Web service community. However, current discovery systems support either WSDL or OWL-S Web services but not both.Through the automatically collected WSDL files and the OWL-S web service related matching mechanism, the idea of transforming various existing web services on the Internet into a service cluster of similar homogeneous , then we can create a service search engine successfully and at the same time the search space can be reduced. By means of providing a mechanism for matching the characteristics properties of relevant web services, we can put them all together into a group which can be found and applied.

Abstract: This paper presents a comparative study on six despeckling methods such as modified hybrid median filter, gabor filter, speckle reducing anisotropic diffusion, homomorphic filter, non-local mean filter and squeeze box filter. We select eight objective evaluation parameters, such as signal-to-ratio, contrast signal–to–noise ratio, figure of merit, least absolute error, peak signal-to-noise ratio, edge protection factor, quantitative parameters of despeckling, signal-to-minimum mean square error ratio, to quantify the performance of these filters. The comparative study will provide a good guidance for selecting a suitable filter in the ultrasound image processing.

Abstract: Aiming the lack of the authentication and access control when the business processes of the power business systems visit the enterprise data center, this article proposes a trusted process security model for the access to the power enterprise data center. The model gives the concept of “Trusted Process” firstly, and then builds “Trusted Process List” and the “Process Access List” to convert the business process into trusted process, and finally implements the authentication and access control of the business processes when visiting the data center.

Abstract: A novel method of minimizing the embedding impact is proposed in this paper. Optimal embedding is achieved using network flow algorithms by considering the modifications on the cover image as flows of pixels among different states. This method is not an independent steganographic scheme, but rather it minimizes the embedding impact after the embedding process and it’s compatible with the majority of embedding techniques. Due to its dependence on the embedding process, many optimization problems, such as the minimization of a globally interactive distortion function, that are intractable during the embedding process can be solved with relatively low computational cost by rectifying the modifications on the cover image after the embedding process. A distortion function based on Kullback-Leibler divergence is provided as a concrete example to illustrate the basic idea of this method.

Abstract: Air defense radar target recognition is a difficult area of target identification, target identification of aircraft has been an important area of national military research. On the basis of jet engine modulation (JEM) effect of air craft, caused of rotating components’ periodic motion, an universal mathematical model of air defense radar propellers modulation echo is established in this paper. According to the characteristic of propellers modulation echo, simulated and compared the effects of propellers structure parameters to rotary blades radar echo signals, and pointed out that diverse types of the plane echo have different characteristics of modulation cycle. Compared the estimation performances of several features analysis and extraction algorithm with the study of prop-airplane echo signal. The simulation results demonstrate that the feature is stable and effective, bispectrum estimation value is more accurate and less errors. It’s feasible to using the feature to identify diverse types (or models) aircrafts.

Abstract: Inspired by the mechanism of behaviour control of organisms, this paper attempts to build an underlying model of their physical and psychological activities in a dynamic environment with the purpose to achieve the self-adaption of robot behaviour in a complex, changeable environment. It designs an internal environment and emotion- & motive-generating models based upon the endocrine regulation mechanism (ERM). The robot relies upon the dynamic stability of the internal environment to accomplish its self-adaption to the external environment. The emotion-generating model is applied to in vivo and in vitro contingencies of various kinds; by releasing hormones, the emotion generated influences the robot’s in vivo and in vitro perception, and then its behavioural choice. The motive-generating model is employed to maintain the relative stability of the internal environment, and the motive generated leads to the corresponding behavioural choice directly. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of this ERM-based self-adaptive robot model.

Abstract: Cloud computing is a paradigm where tasks are assigned to a combination of connections, software and services accessed over a network. Clouds provide processing power, which is made possible through distributed computing. Cloud computing can be seen as a traditional desktop computing model, where the resources of a single desktop or computer used to complete tasks, and an expansion of the client/server model. The paper describes a model for cloud computing to implement software as a service (SaaS).

Abstract: This paper focuses on a heart sound acquisition and analysis system for in-home use of heart condition monitoring. The acquisition board is comprised of a transducer and the processing module, which is used to detect and send heart sound signal to PC via USB interface for heart sound analysis. The analysis software identifies normal and abnormal heart sounds, and provides an easy understanding graphical representation. Both normal and abnormal heart sounds are used to verify the validity of this system, and the result shows the system can discriminate normal and abnormal heart sounds. It is envisaged that the system can eventually be used for in-home use of heart condition monitoring that even inexperienced users are also able to monitor heart condition easily.
