Abstract: When the isolated grid is influenced by disturbance,the power response characteristics of power supplies have an important impact on the operating characteristic of the isolated grid. Ali grid with non-energy storage PV power station was studied and simulated with PSASP software in this paper. The result shows that it is important to make sure the diesel generators participate in primary frequency regulation of the grid to enhance the system stability, especially in the case of PV power output disturbances.

Abstract: This paper presents automatic generation control (AGC) of interconnected two equal area power system provided with single reheat turbine and generation rate constraints of 3% per minute. This paper also contrasts to control performance of several types of classical controller, include of Integral (I), Proportional – Integral (PI), Integral – Derivative (ID), Proportional – Integral – Derivative (PID), or Integral – Double Derivative (IDD). With 1% step load perturbation in area1, controllers’ performance analysis can be taken by frequency deviation, tie-line power deviation, and input signal of governor.

Abstract: Due to the boiler main-steam temperature system exists more serious characteristics,such as much capacitive,nonlinear,time-varying and lag, so adopt cascade control strategy. This paper design a control algorithm which is based on BP neural network, it can accelerate the regulating time, and combined with the conventional PID controller, constitute the BP neural network - PID cascade control strategy. This control strategy not only contain the BP neural network control in real time system strong anti-interference ability characteristic, but also fully utilize the PID controller response speed characteristic. The simulation results show that based on the BP neural network - PID series control boiler main-steam temperature system can achieve satisfactory control effect.

Abstract: An algorithm of mixed H2/H based LMI algorithm for damping inter-area oscillations is investigated. A feedback controller is designed for such problem, which takes the uncertainty of power system parameter into account. In order to gain desired dynamic and steady state qualities, a pole-placement technique based on Linear Matrix Inequalities is used. At last, simulation of 4-machine 2-area system using this method is carried out, which proves the validity and robust of the designed controller. Different operating conditions are considered to validate the adaptability of this algorithm.

Abstract: A new topology of high order resonance hybrid APF(HORHAPF) is proposed, which can be adopted in high voltage system. The corresponding electric models were constructed and controlling strategies was presented. The harmonic suppressing function was used to analyze the harmonic suppressing performance of HORHAPF with the changing parameters based on the controlling strategies in MATLAB. The reactive power compensating performance of the system was also gotten. The simulating results prove the validity of HORHAPF. The reactive power and harmonics are suppressed well.

Abstract: A method that applies Fuzzy C-Means algorithm (FCM) in lithium-ion battery sorting in formation and test system is presented. The original Fuzzy C-Means algorithm is optimized, and weighted index m and cluster number c are analyzed. Through battery sorting experiment, this method is verified to be feasible and practical.

Abstract: Squirrel-cage induction generator (SCIG) has been widely utilized in large wind farms in China. However, the large wind farm composed of induction generators will cause obvious power system stability problems due to the dependency on reactive power. Doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) has excellent dynamic characteristics of wind farm operations. With the increasing of wind power penetration in power systems, more and more wind farms use both SCIG and DFIG. This paper firstly analyzes the the dynamic characteristic of wind farm on power systems, especially in terms of the voltage stability. Then the interaction between the SCIGs and DFIGs is also investigated. A detailed simulation model of wind farms is presented by means of MATLAB. The simulation results demonstrate that the DFIG applications will improve the voltage stability of the wind farm largely and the low voltage ride through characteristics of SCIG to some extend.

Abstract: A blocking accident was described which was caused by the architectural design bug of high-voltage direct current voltage divider. The bug of DC voltage divider architecture design was pointed out through the analysis, and the appropriate solutions for the similar bug or hidden trouble in high-voltage DC transmission system was proposed.

Abstract: Based on embedded ARM system and TCP\IP protocol and CAN-bus protocol, a filed-control-system of Li-ion Battery Formation was designed. TCP protocol has many advantages such as reliable and high speed; CAN-bus protocol also has many advantages such as high speed, high reliability and good resisting disturbance performance. We used TCP protocol achieve communication between Host Computer and Upper Computer, and used CAN-bus protocol between Upper Computer and Lower Computer. This system has such functions as inspection, formation management and battery separation. In this article we will describe the system structure, function, communication architecture and give a brief communication software code with QT programming language.

Abstract: This paper applies bacterial colony chemotaxis (BCC) algorithm to distribution network planning and makes some improvements about this algorithm. Firstly, we put forward an improved strategy based on the parallelogram law in order to make full use of different kinds of optimization information generated in the iterative process of BCC algorithm. Secondly, according to the characteristic of distribution network planning, the solution strategy of Boolean predicament is proposed. Lastly, we apply the improved BCC algorithm to distribution network planning and it is proved effective and feasible.
