Abstract: To evaluate the regularity strength of elevator traffic (RSET) is the prerequisites to efficiently design scheduling strategies of elevator group control system (EGCS). In view of the characteristics of the uncertainty of elevator traffic, a quantitative method to evaluate RSET is proposed by estimating the confidence interval of 5min passenger arrival rate on observed data, which provides important support for forecasting elevator traffic and adjusting elevator group scheduling strategies. Simulation results of an applied example show the validity of the proposed method.

Abstract: Considering the effects of fibers content, water-binder ratio, sand-binder ratio and fly-ash content, 16 groups of ductile high performance concrete specimens were designed by the method of orthogonal test, whose flexural performance were tested by the four-point bending test. By analysis of ultimate flexural strength, equivalent flexural strength and toughness indexes of 16 groups specimens, the results indicated that the load-deflection curves of other 12 groups specimens showing the typical strain hardening features except for the four groups, in which the fiber content equals to 0.5%. The flexural behaviors were affected by the fiber content most. The more the fiber, the higher the flexural toughness. The effect of fly ash on the flexural performance was very little, the more the fly ash, the higher the flexural toughness.

Abstract: Based on hyperbolic nonlinear elastic constitutive model of unloading rock mass, the anchoring rock mass of excavation spillway of a hydropower station has been taken for the study. And considering the impact of excavation unloading process, three reinforcement programs are compared and analyzed. Overall, the constraint by system anchors on deformation of the spillway slope is limited. If the limit on the slope deformation is higher, pre-stressed cables are necessary.

Abstract: Because the parameters of Mavroeidis analytical model of pulse-like strong ground motion have an unambiguous physical meaning, the analytical model has been calibrated using a large number of actual near-field ground-motion records, and It can successfully simulate available near-fault pulse-like acceleration time histories, in this paper, we synthesize ground motions using the model to investigate elasto-plastic earthquake responses of long period single-degree-of-freedom system to the pulse-like ground motions, revealing the elasto-plastic long-period ground motion characteristics of pulse-like ground motion.

Abstract: Based on the practical deep foundation pit example in Zhengzhou, with the increasing foundation design burying depth, the foundation pit’s is designed to be deepened before foundation ditch support being finished. Comparing the technical risks and controlling the monitoring process, an analytical method which takes the upper supporting structure as gravity retaining wall was proposed. For digging the side slope, we use Miniature pile pre-stressed anchor cable to enhance the lower part of the slope soil, which is a successful completion of the deepen design and construction of the foundation pit. It brings significant economic benefits, and also provides much reference value to the deepen design of the similar foundation pit.

Abstract: This paper refers the case project of the Xi'an Subway Line 2 tunneling through the South Gate area of the Xi'an City Wall, has researched the surface settlement due to tunnel construction, and simulated the whole shield tunnel by using Flac3D numerical analysis. This paper has obtained the law of surface settlement and the influence on the City Wall in the tunnel construction by analyzing the calculation results, and simulated the effects of three protective measures which will be used in the South Gate area. The results showed that the surface settlement ratio after the piles and chemical grouting reinforcement was lower by about 25% than no reinforcement. The monitoring data showed that the result of model calculation was reasonable, and the protective measures in Condition 3 are feasible and effective.

Abstract: From the ancient times, Shanxi was called the strategic gateway of the national capital. An impregnable defensive system is required to guard Shanxi, therefore, the defense settlement rose in response to the request, shaped as a city surrounded by many successive forts. Beyond the government building forts, there were a lot of civilian communities. According to the form and the size, the defense system could be distinguished as the following: Town City—Road City—Wei City-Suo City-Fort City —Community Fort. It was constructed as this: guarding system (outside) --- transportation system--- building units. The three layers affected and restricted each other.

Abstract: According to the target of a science center building, some energy-saving technologies and relevant principles phases in architectural planning and design phase, architectural design and construction phase, and so on. With the requirements of energy-saving technologies and an environmental protection technology, some successful experience of Guangdong science center which named as the largest science center building of current China discussed. As a result, the energy-saving science center building design methods came into being, which includes natural ventilation techniques of central yard, optimization technology of enclosed structure, photoelectric curtain wall technology and solar power and so on.

Abstract: A nonlinear method was applied in the stability study of landslides due to the highly nonlinear feature of landslides stability. Based on the data collected as research samples, we selected six influence factors as the indicators of slope stability, including the average slope, slope of the invading front, sliding surface slope, the maximum annual average daily rainfall, the recent slide situation and human engineering activities. Through the comprehensive analysis of landslides stability with BP neural network method, we established a novel nonlinear analysis model. And from the work we may conclude that the landslide stability analysis model is of profound technical meaning with accuracy over 95%.
