Abstract: Energy conservation for building on the use of solar energy has been the attention all over the world. However, the process of building integrated solar energy, went through three stages: passive accept era, simple addition era and building integrated era. There are flaws on the solar energy light heat technology development and application, it reflects on the design, construction and solar energy product itself. These flaws can be compensated if the solar energy and the building integration energy-saving construction projects can be treated as the key link during the life cycle ,cooperating with the project participants , can reach the goal of the solar energy and the building integration.

Abstract: With the accelerating of the process of urbanization and the rapid increase of the economy and society, the shortage of water resources is becoming more and more serious, and the conflict between the water resources and the economic development is becoming more and more conspicuous. Based on an analysis of the current situation and problems about the water resources in Yinchuan, the writer explores the issue of sustainable use of the water resources in the urban planning and makes proposals on the solutions accordingly.

Abstract: City is the carrier of endless flow, the continuity of architectural history context constitutes the collective memory of the people of the city. In the course of history, the continuity of architectural context of Guanzhong civil residence is developed by creativity and inherited by changing. The Guanzhong civil residence preserved the trace of time, trace of cultural development; experienced the life of people; witnessed the harmony of human, human and society, human and nature. This is the core of the continuity of architectural history context.

Abstract: This paper summarizes characteristics of high-rise office building energy consumption in cold areas, analyzes the common problems in passive energy saving design. On this basis, as an example of Xi’an road institute in scientific research office building, this paper introduces the design scheme of high-rise office building passive energy saving in cold areas, and verified the effect of passive design, finally calculated quantitatively study design of energy saving rate passive.

Abstract: The main purpose that should be put in the first place on residential constructions in the rural areas is how to guide the consumers to build residential buildings that are energy effective, comfortable, cost effective, and with construction techniques that are appropriate for the local conditions. Before investigating residential buildings that are suitable for local conditions, we have to discover the local economic status and their living habit in depth. This article puts emphasis on to survey the relationship between dwelling habits and energy consumption in the rural areas, also, space heating and cooling method, the use of solar energy, marsh gas and any other renewable sources of energy, as well as the thermal environment of residential buildings are investigated and analyzed. we conclude that, in the rim of Xi'an city, most of the fuel sources for space heating in winter used in the rural areas are fireweed and cornstock. Most of the energy sources are crops waste materials that are not environmental friendly, thus, it's necessary to popularize the use of solar energy and marsh gas.

Abstract: The mountain environment is the combination system of the natural geography, biology, humanities, economy and technology. Changing any one of these factors has impact on the overall environment. Therefore, mountain building should require more on the ecological awareness. Traditional houses are affected by the local economy, resources, climate, technology and other factors. And the naturally formed passive ecological concept fit well with the low cost, low technology, low energy consumption, low pollution and ecological design principles that the international community have advocated. This paper puts forward the mountain building passive ecological strategy and design method through collecting, sorting and analyzing the eco-building experience of traditional houses in the Miao nationality villages in Guizhou province. It expects to offer some enlightenment of creating geographical environment friendly, low-tech, modern ecological buildings.

Abstract: The mast is an important support and loading component of the executive mechanism of rotary drilling rig, and plays a very essential role during the normal operating process for the whole machine. According to the work characteristics of the rotary drilling rig, the stress and deformation of the mast structure were calculated under the extreme conditions of two typical operations, which are drill-extracting and drilling conditions. The results show that the stress concentrated areas are located near the two connecting hinged joints between the mast and support cylinder and tripod under working conditions, and the results obtained from this paper can provide a theoretical reference for the design of the rotary drilling rig mast.

Abstract: Procedural modeling is a term in computer graphics referring to the creation of digital models with sets of rules. With the user-defined rule sets, digital models can be generated automatically by computers rather than modeled manually. Several popular procedural modeling methods and are listed and compared in the paper. A new research framework on procedural modeling of urban and architecture form is introduced. We also choose Jørn Utzon’s “additive architecture” as a case study and show the possibilities of future urban and architecture design.

Abstract: Atterberg limit tests were preformed on diesel oil contaminated soil and crude oil contaminated soil. The results show that Atterberg limits reduced with increasing of diesel oil content. When crude oil content changed from 0 to 8%, it has little effect on Atterberg limits. However, it rose from 8% to 16%, plastic limit slightly decreased, but liquid limit increased remarkably. A "pseudo-viscosity" caused by crude oil is the key factor for this phenomenon.

Abstract: After the earthquake in Sichuan of China in 2008, price increase of conventional materials, poor conditions in transportation and resources and low levels of economy and technology are the main challenges faced by villagers’ home rebuilding. Under this background, a comprehensive demonstration village rebuild project was launched. Based on locally available natural resources and recyclable materials from collapsed houses, the local traditional earth-based technology got greatly improved in anti-seismic performance via experimental studies. By prototype-based training, the villagers quickly mastered these upgraded techniques and rebuilt homes by themselves with minimized input of manpower and material cost. Their new earth houses show a far better performance in cost-efficiency, sustainability and comfort than local conventional rebuilt dwellings. It demonstrated and conveyed an affordable, ecological, healthy and humane way of post-quake village rebuild that local villagers could take, own and pass on.
