Abstract: In the tourist advanced areas like Taian City, Shandong Province, the construction of tourist soft power is closed linked with the local economic development. Whether the economy of the above areas can develop quickly depends greatly on whether the local government leaders have paid enough attention to the construction of the tourist soft power. In this article, combined with the reality of Taian City, the authors put forward our personal viewpoints on strengthening the construction of Taian’s tourist soft power in order to promote its economic development from 4 different ways.

Abstract: Harmonious development of environmental protection and economy is a realistic choice made in specific national situation for economic development and environmental protection. It has some kind of complexity. However, large and medium-sized cities develop very fast and the problem of environmental pollution becomes more and more obvious. Thus, how to effectively coordinate the paradox between economic development and environmental protection in large and medium-sized cities and achieve the good cyclic double-win between economic development and ecological environment are the main contents of this paper.

Abstract: Port environmental protection, with the rapid development of water transportation industry, attracts more and more attention. This paper, on the basis of introducing the development of port environmental protection in China, analyzed the problems of environmental protection in the port construction and operation, and suggested what should be improved in the future.

Abstract: Utilizing albite as material source, a novel chemical engineering project was proposed to solidify CO2. With potassium hydroxide as the flux, albite was decomposed at temperature of ~320°C after a series of chemical engineering processes. Carbon dioxide was absorbed in sodium hydroxide. The mineralization of carbon dioxide shows the evident safety in a long geological timescales compared with storages of CO2 in deep oceans or deep underground. Moreover, it can provide an advantage in that it would take even no net cost at all.

Abstract: This paper mainly compares Chinese "Green Hotel" National Standard with three green hotel certification programs originated from U.S. and Europe, including the Green Key, the Green Key Eco-rating Program and the Green Leaf Eco-rating Program. The similarities and differences of all these certification programs are concluded. Eventually, some practical suggestions for stakeholders to promote Chinese green hotel standards are proposed.

Abstract: A coordinated development model in water–socioeconomy-environment system (WSE system) and its application are presented in this paper. Based on complex system theory and the coordinated development idea, a set of indicators is provided with capacity to evaluate coordinated development degree in WSE system. Integrating variable fuzzy set theory (VFS) and entropy weight (EW) into set pair analysis method (SPA), the authors derive SPA-VFS-EW model to describe development degrees of WSE system. Employing coordination theory, the authors develop a coordination model based on Euclidean distance, followed by a coordinated development model. The derived model is applied to assess the coordinated development degree of WSE system in Shaanxi province. The results are found satisfactory. It also indicates that the proposed model in this paper can provide a novel method for evaluating the coordinated development in systems.

Abstract: From the perspective of Environmental Education System of the Xianghai nature reserve, it expounds the significance of the Xianghai nature reserve to the implementation of environmental education, put forward to create the Xianghai nature reserve of small and medium-sized school environment education base, and at the same time, improve protection area in the different groups of environmental awareness level, establishing the Xianghai nature reserves of the modernization of the network platform, to further strengthen the environmental education international projects, and in the process of ecological tourism environmental education concept of countermeasures.

Abstract: Organic agricultural development is an adaptation strategy to climate change, is a concrete and promising option for new countryside construction or urban-rural integrated development and has additional potential as a mitigation strategy. Mitigation and adaptation based on organic agricultural development can build on well-established traditional Chinese peasant’s practice because organic agriculture is a sustainable livelihood strategy with thousands of years in use in China. The paper argues that subsidies for agricultural development may be justified by a mitigation or adaptation strategy. This paper therefore highlights some of the persistent challenges associated with sustainable organic agricultural development in China. We aim to explore how organic agricultural development can maintain sustainable rural development and thereby serve as mitigation and an adaptation option is a possible future transition towards a low-carbon economy

Abstract: Ecological agrarianism came on stage in America in reaction to the development of industrial agriculture, which gained its momentum after World War II. In order to establish a link between agriculture and environmental protection, ecological agrarians emphasize the importance of education in the changing of fundamental assumptions of human’s place in nature and advocated reform of agricultural education, especially that in land-grant university (LGU), which has been quite effective and promising.

Abstract: Based on Green Product Cycle, using Panasonic as a case study, this paper explores how to establish the Environmental Management System by utilizing reviews of literature and resources of data base, and analyzing the data by conducting coding and categorizing. As a result of this study, there are six components of Environmental Management System, and they are design and development of green product, green procurement, green logistics, green marketing and waste recycling. Management suggestions to Chinese enterprises are: further understanding the concept of Environmental Management, and discovering their own path for environmental management with Chinese characteristics; implementing environmental control in overall process in producing and managing, and establishing scientific environmental management system; breaking through the bottleneck of technology and put environmental management into practice.
