Abstract: The implementation of lean production can reduce the inventory and increase production efficiency. Company K is the first one in the world producing vacuum equipment. It faces many problems of production management now. The implementation process of lean production in company K is studied, including 5S, value stream, JIT and Kanban pull mode, cell production and standardization. The aim of this research is to provide some suggestion to other companies to increase their management level and economic benefits.

Abstract: Lean Six Sigma, which is the integration of Lean Production and Six Sigma, can improve process, cut down the cost, and gain customer satisfaction. This paper applies Lean Six Sigma in an assembly process. The DMAIC procedure in Six Sigma and the tools in Lean Production are used to analyze and improve the process. This research aims to be a meaningful reference for those companies that want to improve the management and economic effectiveness.

Abstract: Development of track utilization decision support system (TUDSS) is one of the most important component parts for realizing decentralized and self-regulated control in railway passenger stations. The system can provide technical and decision supports for dispatchers to solving track utilization problems (TUP), and its development thus needs many key technologies. Furthermore, we analyze and further put forward real-time dynamic adjustment technology, object-based graphical block technology, cross time span consistency processing technology, carrying capacity of station throat calculating principle and also other key technologies to help to develop the system and realize its functions. Moreover, its trial test results show that the system can make and adjust track utilization plans effectively and fast, and meet the diversified practical needs for TUP in passenger stations.

Abstract: In this paper we focus on the contact problem. We have proposed two schedules to minimize the contact and ensure that the sites where the boats that are launched on the same day and of the same duration are next to each other.Under the circumstances that there is no contact between boats launched on the same day, we’ve worked out the interval time between the two groups of boats (there is no other group in between). By following the exact time interval, suppose one of the boats of each duration, either motorized or oar-powered are launched, we work out the carrying capacity is 154. Therefore, campsites should be no less than 154. In addition, the total trips in 6 months are 2006.

Abstract: Waste appliances have become new urban polluter because of the replacing of appliances households and corporates throw away. A case of recycling system of waste appliances in China is on the agenda. As the recycling system process, the layout optimization problem come out, we present a solution by using a new algorithm named Election campaign algorithm (ECA). ECA acts by simulating the behavior that the election candidates pursue the highest support in election campaign. Our comparative study indicates that ECA has good performance in this kind of optimization cases.

Abstract: The use of agent-based simulation experiment technology throughout the concept development process and simulation implementing may have a direct impact on the Army’s ability to resolve these critical force structure issues, inform the acquisition of future combat platforms, and determine the future use of new-style vehicles in an Army force. Thus, Army unit warfare simulation experiment by using agent technology is studied in this paper. The warfare task(s) expression is presented and warfare entity agent model is designed. Through an agent-based simulation experiment platform, EINSTein, the demonstration system is established and Army unit warfare simulation experiment is implemented, by which some results are obtained. Simulation experiment proves the feasibility and efficiency of our model and simulation experiment system, and shows its advantages in realizing real-time tactical warfare activities simulation.

Abstract: This paper studies multi-vehicle and multi-cargo loading problem under the limited loading capacity. According to the characteristics of model and problem, fast taboo search algorithm is used to get the optimization solution from the overall situation. Firstly, it applies newly improved insertion method to construct initial solution in order to improve the feasibility of the solution. Secondly, it centers cubage-weight balance to design three operations for fastening the speed of convergence, stock elite to improve the searching efficiency of algorithm. Finally, the good performance of this algorithm can be proved by experiment calculation and concrete examples for solving practical problems.

Abstract: As science and technology advancing rapidly, techniques of modern production are increasingly automatic. Accordingly, only the product with high relisbility can meet the demands of modern scinence, technology and production, can be more competent and yield better economic returns. The paper, starting from the basic concepts of system reliability, makes a research on mathematical description and reliability model of it.

Abstract: Since human error accounts for more than 70% in the causes of maritime accidents, the analysis of human error mode will benefit the scientific analysis and evaluation of maritime traffic safety management, to get the nature security finally. With the application of Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA), this paper sums up ten specific human failure modes. After the analysis of the modes based on materials from British Maritime Commission, it uses the Criticality Analysis (CA) to analyze the major mode of high hazard. The result has important guiding significance and value on refining the main hazards of maritime accidents, and the nature of maritime management.
