Abstract: How to improve students’ CAD compositive capability at their collegial stage is a very important problem. However, it is hard for colleges and universities to afford the environment that is completely oriented to engineering practice and to provide various training opportunities for the students. Based on the research and exploration in the past years, research projects are used to drive teaching innovation in the paper. Research contents, objective, problems to be solved and approach adopted are presented. Research scheme and guarantee measures are also explained. Taking the development of Common Rolling Bearing Digital Three-Dimensional Model Library for example, the approach is discussed in detail.

Abstract: As a key content, practical teaching plays an important role in improving the personnel training in universities. In this paper, we take Shandong Jiaotong University (SDJTU) for example and introduce the establishment of the practical teaching for the welding specialty. The course system, teaching method and cultivation ability training are discussed. The practice in SDJTU can provide guidance for improving the practical teaching quality for welding specialty.

Abstract: This is the brand-new century, which is a new information technology, international and comprehensive era. The pressure of looking for work is very big, thus the competition is very intense. At the same time, many high comprehensive quality talents are needed. While our strong specialized colleges and universities need more students, whose professional knowledge and knowledge of foreign language are excellent. They can stand out in job markets where there are few opportunities for employment. There are some problems in specialized foreign language development of colleges and universities, and puts forward some relevant countermeasures based on analyzing these problems.

Abstract: In military academies, “task-oriented” teaching way should be put into use to make teaching goals well achieved. In this paper, from discussing the connotation of “task-oriented” teaching way as the starting point, the current implement of this kind teaching method in military academies is fully analyzed and some existing problems are pointed out. Finally, the corresponding countermeasures as well as the key points requiring attention are also suggested.

Abstract: This article analyses the characteristics of the engineering geology and engineering geological thinking connotation: geological evolution thinking, geological structure thinking, the combination thinking of geology, engineering and the environment, and systems thinking, discusses the relation of engineering geological thinking and innovative thinking (associative thinking, integrated thinking divergent thinking and systems thinking). The analysis and discussion fits to the current higher education requirements of innovation capacity. It comes to a conclusion that practice of engineering geology teaching can gradually develop correct professional thinking and completes the transformation the professional thinking and innovative thinking. At the same time, the students can grasp professional quality and master the entire engineering geology field of thought patterns and characteristics by the teaching. So the teaching can build the solid foundation that they can become high-quality engineering geology workers with the truly innovative ability.

Abstract: Influence of the damping ratio on the response fast performance to under-damped second-order system in the time domain has been discussed. The relationship between peak time and the input signal, the adjust time, and the system type has been analyzed. The response’s fast performance indicators are relative, and it is related to the input signal, the response of the system, and the type of system and its initial states. In conclusion, the peak time and the adjust time cannot reach a minimum at the same time. The fast response issue must be discussed in relation to specific cases, and it cannot be generalized.

Abstract: Viewing from the life cycle of construction project, this paper aims to explore the characteristics, types and causes of life circle security risks in large public buildings on the strength of project risk management theory and the related theories of value chain. It proposes the management strategy for handling the life cycle security risk of large public buildings based on the stage and scope of risk effects respectively, providing the significant reference for the major participants of large public buildings to implement the security risk management and reduce the probability of safe accidents in large public buildings.
