Abstract: t is the first implementing waterway navigation project between the Three Gorges Project (TGP) and The Gezhouba Project. Based on analyzing of the navigation-obstructing characteristics, waterway regulation ideas and schemes are put forward. A three-dimensional flow mathematical model is used to simulate the change of water level, flow velocity, flow pattern. And the effect of the regulation project is analyzed and contrasted with and without it. At last, the reasonable regulation scheme is proposed.

Abstract: This paper seeks to build new park and ride facilities (including the location and size) as well as expand the old ones based on the super road network composed of the road network and mass rapid transit (MRT) network. Park and ride facility location model of the outskirts of the city is established grounded infusing path-based user equilibrium assignment model and multi-assignment method, which is based on minimal investments. The calculation results of the model show that park and ride facilities on the outskirts of the city can greatly reduce the road traffic in central area.

Abstract: The System Engineering principles are applied to identify the risk factors of navigation environment of dock waters adjacent to fairway. The Evaluation Index System for risks of navigation environment of such a dock is established and the relative risk degrees among each index are reflected quantitatively by weights of risk factors obtained by adopting the method of AHP. Based on the identified risk factors, the risk control measures for navigation environment of dock waters adjacent to fairway are systematically put forward. One dock in Yangpu Port, Hainan Province, is cited as an example to analyze, and the risk control measures are proposed accordingly.

Abstract: Determination of construction diversion scheme is the most important part in the hydro-junction engineering design of inland waterway, which will influence the general layout, construction time and total cost. Based on the method of combining remote-controlled self-propelled ship model test with physical model test, the velocity and flow pattern of diversion channel in the first construction period, navigation flow condition of temporary channel, the velocity and flow pattern of release sluice and the navigation flow condition during the second construction period were analyzed in this paper. The problems in the construction diversion scheme were studied, and the improve measures which could meet the requirement for navigation and diversion were proposed.

Abstract: In order to study the influence on pile foundation in the numerical Simulation of 2-D tidal flow, the governing equations for numerical model of 2-D tidal flow with pile foundation have been induced, and the numerical water flume of 2-D tidal flow for pile foundation has been built. And then, with an adjusted friction coefficient and an additional roughness coefficient of the pile foundation from some physical model tests, the tidal flow field has been simulated, which was about a piled wharf of the first phase project in Yangshan deep-water Port. It indicated that the results from this numerical simulation were very close to some from water flume tests in laboratory. So some applied foundation and operational methods about the two tidal flow simulation technologies for some pile foundation have been provided.

Abstract: Population dynamics and its associated impacts in the cities derive from the synergistic effects of primary and secondary factors. These factors work together to effect the transformation of cities through population increase. In the past, these factors have been studied discretely. With the emergence of system dynamic models and their abilities to capture and magnify relationships between variables, it has been demonstrated that secondary factors like income, which positively influence urban migration (as a primary factor), have direct effect on the attractiveness of a city. This is linked to population growth, which ultimately transforms the outlook of the city. This finding has brought forth a consideration that continuous transformation of cities is due to a number of interrelated factors that work together to identify city characteristics. These in most cases are expressed through various forms such as urban congestion, residential demand, city decay, environmental degradation or high levels of crime. This study has shown that relationships between factors that bring city transformation through population growth are, in fact, indirect and cryptic. Through system dynamic models and their abilities to magnify and express relationships between variables using causal loops and feed-back diagrams these cryptic relationships have been clearly magnified.

Abstract: t constitutes a common problem that deep foundation exerts negative influences on adjacent underground structures. The Chegongmiao subway station is adjacent to the first subway of Shenzhen and Fengshengding shopping street, which is on the planning construction of Shenzhen 11th subway. Based on the finite element method, the paper is investigated to efficiently simulate the effect of the deep foundation on the adjacent underground structures. The engineering measures to reduce the influence of construction are supported for determine the construction plan.

Abstract: For the strong external interference and system nonlinearity and other characteristics in mineral inverter system, we propose a simple auto disturbance rejection controller. The dynamic observation of the uncertain factors and external interference in the system model can be made possible by the use of the extended state observer of the auto disturbances rejection so as to improve the system adaptability to the interference. The simulation tests show that the controller has less overshoot, more adjustable transience and wider selection domain in the stable range to the controlling parameters, meanwhile, the controller has greater adaptability to the inverter power system.

Abstract: With the characteristics of huge energy, short acting time and large destructiveness, Explosive and Impact Load leads a large punching force towards construction units. Once happened, it can cause serious of damaging effects. Therefore, the explosion protection performance of construction is being more and more concerned[1].The large finite element analysis software ABAQUS is being used to deal with numerical simulation of cross steel frame node, to analyses the response of the steel frame node and to discusses different steel material parameters on the influence of the nodes dynamic response under the effect of Explosive and Impact Load in this paper. According to conclusions, increase strength and modulus of elasticity of steel can reduce the damage of Explosive and Impact Load to construction. Meanwhile taking advantage of the function of transferring information between explicit processor and standard processor in ABAQUS, this paper analyses the effect of Explosive and Impact Load on steel frame node under low cyclic loading and concludes that it is harmful to the structural performance that the effect of Explosive and Impact Load can lower the ductility of the structure. According to the conclusion from the research on steel frame nodes characteristics under the effect of Explosive and Impact Load, this paper present that negative influence of Explosive and Impact Load should be taken fully into account, beneficial materials to explosion protection performance should be choosen and the corresponding measures to improve the ductility of structure should be taken to reduce structures degree of damage under Explosive and Impact Load in future structural design. All the research have a certain significance to the future structural design of explosion protection.

Abstract: To build a precise compressor model is a critical issue in the modeling and simulation of a turbocharged diesel engine. This paper proposes an exponential function for compressor flow model and a polynomial function for efficiency model. A case study of a compressor map for TCA88 turbocharger is implemented to verify the proposed model. Fitting results show that the compressor model performs in accordance with the manufacture compressor map. The compressor model can be applied to mean value models of turbocharged engines for non-linear control and state estimation.
