Abstract: The Suzhou urban expansion as the research object, used the 1987,2000,2005 and2009 Landsat TM / ETM⁺ multi-objective remote sensing images to acquire the Suzhou urban landscape map, from the urban expansion speed, urban expansion strength, urban expansion elasticity coefficient, and the urban expansion direction to analyze the urban expansion dynamic changes, and then used the fractal model to calculate the Suzhou construction land fractal dimension and stability indexes in 1987-2009, and explored the relationship between the urban construction complexity and stability and the fractal dimension. The results show that, with the urbanization process accelerated, the construction land area in Suzhou City continued to increase, the urban expansion strength further enhanced, the urban expansion speed further accelerated, the city development direction mainly toward the north and south, southeast and northwest. The 1987-2009 urban construction land fractal dimension showed increasing -- reducing -- increasing trend, the urban construction land shape become more and more irregular, the urban construction land complexity increased, the urban construction land plaque stability decreased gradually.

Abstract: Strengthening the research on urban-rural relationship will help to improve t urban-rural dual structure into urban-rural integration and it has great significance. The latest progress in existing researches on the Spatial Pattern and Performance Evaluation of Regional Urban-rural Integration at home and abroad was reviewed systematically. It was found that Urban-rural integration has become a hot research subject in recent years and Performance evaluation have become the main contents in the research on Urban-rural integration. To study the progress of research on spatial performance for Urban-rural integration to investigates the weak point about. The research on specific type and formation the Spatial Pattern and Performance Evaluation of Regional Urban-rural Integration should be further strengthened. In order to optimize the spatial structure of Urban-rural integration, more planning tools should be applied.

Abstract: Town land is the carrier of town’s economy, society and environment, and its land use efficiency has a close relationship with town’s economic development as well as living environment construction. This study selects towns of Zigui County as research objects to explore characteristics of land use efficiency in mountain areas. The study results show that: 1) Maoping, Lianghekou, Meijiahe and Moping, of which technical efficiency and scale efficiency equal to 1, achieve the best condition of land use efficiency. 2) In Quyuan, Guizhou, Shuitianba, Xietan and Zhouping, moderately enlarging towns’ scale will be helpful to strengthen agglomeration economy effect, and improve towns land use efficiency. While in Shazhengxi, Yanglinqiao and Guojiaba, it needs to decrease these towns’ scale moderately to prevent the waste of resource. 3) Inputs’ inefficiency and outputs’ insufficiency are the main factors result in the differences of input and output efficiency. 4) Accelerate Industrial Restructuring, optimize Industrial Structure, improve service efficiency of fixed assets investments, appropriately control the scale of construction land are the most important way to improve land use efficiency in Zigui County.

Abstract: Service industry in western cities sprang up and industrial structure transformed, thus post-industrial society theory was formed. Consumption economy of cities is rising in western country and it has become the driving force of urban space. Traditional industrial space is becoming to modern consumer space in the metropolis. It analyzes the reference values of symbolic economy and consumer space in western country to Chinese urban development.

Abstract: With the rapid development of China economy, China urbanization process is entering high–speed development period. At the same time, the development of underground space is also entering the high-speed period. The development of underground space and the safety of the city is inseparable, the development of underground space is playing an important role in the settlement of the current urban safety, the constraints of the urban land resource, the narrow of the building space, the traffic jams, the worsening environmental pollution and city disaster prevention ability inadequacy, plays a more and more important role. Based on the analysis of urban safety that the city is facing, this paper makes full discussion of the relationship between the development of underground space and urban safety as well as the urban problem-solving approach.

Abstract: This paper analyses spatial Characteristics, influencing factors, power mechanism, development intention and strategic focus based on present urban-rural development situation and problems of Xi'an metropolitan area in details. And then puts forward spatial pattern and corresponding development path for urban-rural development of Xi'an metropolitan area, so as to provide important theory and practice references for urban-rural space integration of other typical metropolitan areas in Northwestern China.

Abstract: Rapid development and under the condition of market economy, urban development is facing more uncertainty. The traditional urban planning can’t meet the need of the urban dynamic development. It is need to construct a flexible and adaptive elastic spatial structure in order to adapt to more possibilities of urban development, such as the elastic of town scale and spatial structure. At the same time, the flexible space structure will pay more attention to the process of city development and the way to realize the setting guide. Taking the spatial structure planning of Wenshi town as an example, the author finally explains how the concept and method of flexible spatial structure planning.

Take Xiaogan for example, from the aspect of the urban culture position, the city symbol refinement and promotion, analyst of the Xiaogan's city symbol creation, proved the importance of the city symbol on urban development.

Abstract: This paper used “3S+3L+AVC” tourist town development concepts framework, it imported the beautiful natural waterfront landscape features, unique ecological agriculture condition, natural geothermal hot spring resources and convenient transportation advantage into the small tourism town design. By the analysis of town features, project position, the key design points, it described the theory application in Chun Lei town concept planning from slow system, ecological planning and commercial walk street design three aspects.
