Abstract: At present, China is the country with the maximum quantity of annual new construction in the world, but the average life of the buildings is very short. Through the analysis of the urban per capita living space of macro data variations and individual environmental psychology, it is raised that design lacks of “redundancy" is one of the important reasons.”Redundancy" is to consider the future needs in design , "redundancy" concept is introduced in the field of architecture, for solving that our country’s building lives are generally in a short situation. It is also an important way to realize the sustainable development.

Abstract: In recent years, the possession of private cars of urban residents in our country has increased quickly, making residential parking problems more serious. That has caused parking inconvenience and confusion environment in residential areas. These problems must be given enough attention when it comes to the building of supporting facilities in urban residential areas. According to the analysis of current standards of residential parking facilities and the characters of parking manners, we take a developing city, Jinzhou, as an example and research the motor vehicle parking status in residential areas, we propose the view that formulating the corresponding parking facilities indicator standards according to different types settlements, solving needs of residents in different types of residential areas in different ways, and the proposal that design of residential areas static transport facilities and parking spaces should reflect humane, intelligent and fair, and have flexible to adapt changes of need in future.

Abstract: Regional integration will promote the flow of elements in accordance with Regional Economics, to achieve the most optimal configuration. In 2007, the Jilin Provincial Government made a strategic plan about Changchun-Jilin Integration, however, we don’t have much more experiences in China, so that this thesis analyzes the US New York Metropolitan Vicinity and indicates three outstanding features as follows: First, the evolution of planning tend to be people-oriented, focusing on the harmonious development between human and nature; Second, to build multi-level coordination and management mechanism, the semi-official organizations have the largest contribution to the development of metropolitan; Third, the evolution of the industrial structure tend to be third tilt with a larger proportion of modern service industry. Changchun-Jilin Integration should develop appropriation strategies plan based on above findings and domestic background.

Abstract: Site location is very important factor for a supermarket’s operation. This paper proposed a location model based on business area theory, and three cases, including Wal-Mart, Carrefour and Metro in Xi’an are compared to indicate the model is useful and feasible. The finding may provide direction to new supermarket’s location decision.

Abstract: According to the analysis of evolution mechanisms and status of supporting public service facilities in settlements of Jinzhou city, we have explored the effectiveness of principles and indicators related to public buildings supporting in GB “Urban Residential Area Planning and Design Specifications” and thought the problems exist in currently supporting public buildings preliminarily. Then we propose that the establishment and improvement of local adaptive standards of settlements’ supporting public buildings are necessary and the proposal to establish and integrate the system of settlements’ supporting public buildings under the framework of the basic “principle” and “standard”.

Abstract: Ecological concept of Chinese traditional architecture represented by Fengshui had a lot of useful theory and practice, in planning for sustainable development. This article analyses the positive impact about ecological concept of Chinese traditional architecture to city site selection and planning layout, based on the concept of modern environment and psychological knowledge, and discusses on scientific nature of ecological concept of Chinese traditional architecture, in order to Promoting the application of the ecological concept of the Chinese traditional architecture in urban planning.

Abstract: The characteristics of dual-core region structure of Beijing-Tianjin and the development of their midpoint city – Langfang is analyzed and researched. It is proposed in this paper that the radiation-driving effects of the two cores cities influenced Langfang when they developed to a certain degree. The special opportunities and challenges of Langfang in the dual-core structure is demonstrated, and based on this, the development strategy of Langfang is put forward.

Abstract: This paper, on the basis of analyzing development conditions, puts forward main factors that constitute the construction of industrial park such as construction thoughts, targets, function layout and guidelines for urban planning and finally presents implementation strategy, which promotes the construction of compound type and ecotype industrial parks with characteristics in small cities and towns and boosts the economic development in small cities and towns.

Abstract: The concept of coal mining area land (CMAL) development suitability was defined, and evaluation index system of CMAL was constructed by AHP. Considering the characteristic of linguistic-based attribute, an ideal-point-based approach to CMAL development suitability evaluation was introduced. Based on the definition of positive ideal-point and deviation, deviation between alternative and positive ideal-point of alternative were given, and the process of ideal-point-based approach to CMAL development suitability evaluation was also provided. Taking Jixi coal mining area in Heilongjiang province as an application case, and its land development suitability was evaluated. The result shows that the method of ideal-point-based approach to CMAL development suitability evaluation is effective.

Study on the Development Strategy of New District - A Case Study of the QunLi New District in Harbin
Abstract: If a city is an organism, urban new district should be a part of the whole organic growing city. This paper takes the QunLi New District of Harbin as an example, discusses the development goal, design idea, development strategy, space layout form and development mode of the new district, puts forward a suggestion that the new district shall be a district with perfect function such as residential, commercial, industrial etc. The urban design of new district should pay special attention to the surrounding area, especially to the connection with downtown, forecast and arrange reasonably various public services facilities and infrastructure according to the population and economic development of new district, strengthen the ecological environment construction of the new district, create livable urban space with times characteristics.
