Abstract: Earned value management is a prerequisite for the wide range of applications in the practice of project management at home and abroad. In this paper, As to the quality of the target cost and schedule goal, To the project cost and schedule performance evaluation, On the basis of reading the relevant literature and researching at home and abroad. Using theory and method, which cost and schedule performance evaluation of earned value management as the research object. Application of project management software, It is greatly meaningful to applying earn value management model to small and medium-sized hydropower stations project.

Abstract: In this article, the deficiencies of the traditional methods of project cost control have been objectively analyzed. Through applying the process cost control of project, establishing method of management information systems and combining project cost management practices, the management system model of dynamic cost control has been explained.

Abstract: Large projects often face risks from technology, economy, nature, social and other aspects during development and construction. This paper describes a reasonable decision-making method of the general contractor based on Grey Relevancy. The primary weights of factors and evaluation of alternatives are determined by applying AHP. An illustration is presented to demonstrate the application of the method in contractor evaluation. The results are consistent with the results calculated by conventional contractor evaluation method. The research demonstrates that the method is objective and accurate, and is of an application value in the contractor evaluation.

Abstract: In a smart city, all the aspects of life are administrated by means of digital technologies of Internet, sensor networks and Internet of things. As part of a smart city, smart infrastructure plays an important role in integrated infrastructure planning and management to analyze the individual and combined effects of infrastructure systems and how they can better work together to serve the community. This research studies the framework of a smart infrastructure management system. The framework proposed focuses on the monitoring and management of critical information in subway tunnels. Monitored data would be collected through sensor network and analyzed through the smart infrastructure management system. The framework can report emergency or safety-hazard situations before they develop into disasters. The framework can also enhance infrastructure resilience to support continuity of service to the community and business. The research will provide deeper knowledge and real-time practical intelligence of connections in the infrastructure system.

Abstract: Due to relatively primitive construction methods and insufficient relevant design experiences, resource and energy waste is still a major concern in Chinese affordable housing in recently years. Assessing basing on the information of the currently available technology and construction method, it is unlikely that the above issue can be resolved in the next a few years. Therefore, it is imperative to introduce a new affordable residential typology named Chinese Skeleton Infill CSI housing. After studying the inherent characteristics of this new supportive housing typology, it is believed that it can effectively improve the current situation with energy and resource consumption. It is believed that the CSI housing can be suitably applied in affordable housing project and bring social and economic significance.

Abstract: With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the hole-making technique of punched cast-in-situ piles has also developed rapidly. As punched cast-in-situ piles still belong to the indirect hole-making perfusion, which is elusive, it is difficult to find out problems happening during the construction process. And these problems tend to cause very serious results. Combined with the practical engineering, this essay makes deep research into problems arising in the construction process and puts forward solutions in order to provide the technical personnel with references.

Abstract: The focus of this study is on the differences in quantity estimates made by BIM and a senior engineer using conventional method for materials needed during construction. BIM-Revit Architecture 2012 is utilized to establish the information for two actual cases the control room for a new construction and a single floor on a school campus to conduct estimates for the amount of reinforced concrete needed. For comparison, an engineer with considerable experience is also asked to perform the above estimate. Data from the two estimates are compared and the unit price obtained from the Public Construction Commission is applied to calculate the price difference. The result shows that in Case 1, the engineers estimate is higher than that of BIM by 1.33%, while in Case 2, the engineers estimate is higher than that of BIM by 0.30%. The results indicate that estimates made by BIM have high accuracy. Thus, applying BIM toward the construction industry may effectively reduce human errors such as omissions and miscalculations.

Abstract: The primary object of this fundamental research is to reveal the application of genetic algorithm improved on the optimization design of cantilever supporting structure. In order to meet the strength of pile body and pile top displacement as well as design variables subjected to constraint, an algorithm is carried on to seek the optimum solution and relevant examples by means of comprehensively considering the effects on center-to-center spacing between piles, pile diameter and quantity of distributed steel, which is taken the lowest engineering cost as objective function. Through the comparison of the optimized scheme and original design, this fruitful work provides explanation to the effectiveness of genetic algorithm in optimization design. These findings of the research lead to the conclusion that the shortcomings of traditional design method is easy to fall into local optimal solution. The new optimization method can overcome this drawback.

Abstract: Causes and main forms of collusion tender in the bidding of construction projects were analyzed. In accordance mainly with the characteristics of the collusion tender, one-off game and repeated game analysis models were established respectively on the two common forms of complementary bid and bid rotation between bidders. They were analyzed with the relevant principles of the game theory. Based on the results of analysis, strategy and measures to collusion tender were proposed from the perspective of the bid inviting party.
