Abstract: Interchange entrance area is the key point which affects the overall operational reliability of an Interchange. In order to alleviate the crowded ramp merging area, improve the overall reliability of the interchange and improve traffic safety, when traffic demand increases to a certain extent, traffic control strategies should be used. According of the characteristics of the interchange ramp entrance area, the control strategy of interchange and the mainline which affect the reliability of high-speed road network most has been researched. Analyzing the geometric and traffic characteristics of the ramp merging area, different control strategies on the ramp and the mainline are proposed, that is ramp access control strategy and the main line lane running constraint strategy.

Abstract: As an important part of the security system in a civil aviation airport, Airport Perimeter Security System construction has been paid universal attention by airport authorities. Sensor fencea novel, low-cost, low maintenance system that may be used on new or existing fences that results in an improved capability to detect, locate and classify intruders. By reviewing the concept and application trends of Internet of Things, features and applicability of different types of the airport perimeter security system are summarized. The Internet of Things is a kind of new technology that sensors and existing internet are integrated based on the technologies, such as RFID, wireless data communications. In this paper, the third generation of airport perimeter security system based on Internet of Things is proposed and designed.

Abstract: With increasing transport amount of dangerous chemicals, the number of transportation accidents also rises, thus safe transport of dangerous chemicals becomes more critical. In this article, existing problems in dangerous chemicals transportation and corresponding reasons are analyzed. Through combination of domestic and foreign advanced technology and national conditions, control strategies and measures for safe transportation of dangerous chemicals are studied in depth, in is proposed that preventive measures need to be taken. The preventive measures include establishing a management system, risk early warning mechanism and transport information platform which are based on modern information technology, establishing transport industry standard, ensuring good security propaganda work, setting emergency and consultation service system, carrying out special rectification work for transportation safety, so as to ensure scientific, reasonable and effective control of dangerous chemicals transport, reduce and avoid related accidents.

Abstract: Zhengyang Men which is located on the north-south axis line of Beijing, is surrounded by the vital communication lines, and suffered from the environmental vibration induced by the busy ground traffic. In order to study the dynamic response of Zhengyang Men city gate and arrow tower, which is caused by ground traffic, the vibration characteristic of ground traffic is the basic research content. The motion equation, which is established by means of the vehicle dynamic model, and the ground traffic characteristic, which is summarized based on the traffic site investigation, are used to derive the vibration source form of a single type vehicle, further more the form of different type vehicle. And then the vibration source can be used for studying the dynamic response of city gate and arrow tower.

Abstract: The level of service and efficiency of public transit facilities affect the functions of urban transportation. VISSIM as a microscopic simulation software is conducted to model the operation processes of public transit facilities in the Huayuan intersection located in Tianjin city of China. Three problems are found in this study as following: seriously mutual interference between buses and cars nearby the transit facilities, deficient capacity of left-turn lanes, serious delay at the intersection including buses and cars. Some improved measures are proposed to solve these problems in the research such as changing the location of bus stops, placing bus priority signs and adding lanes. These measures compose three improved schemes. The effects of these schemes are compared from travel times, delay, queue length and bus waiting time. The simulating results show that these schemes can effectively increase the speed of buses and reduce their delay at the intersection.

Abstract: On a gradient road gravity as an external force acts upon running vehicles which show different characteristics from those on normal road. We investigated traffic flow on a gradient with a consideration of speed difference effect analytically and numerically. Stability and instability conditions were obtained by the use of linear stability theory. Nonlinear analysis method was taken to derive the mKdV equation and its kink-antikink soliton solution was obtained near the critical point in the unstable region. Kink-antikink density waves were reproduced in the simulation with a variable slope. Results show that the slope effect plays an important role in traffic flow.

Abstract: The additional energy consumption model of vehicles on a gradient road is introduced in this paper. The numerical simulation of the model shows that the additional energy consumption varies with the different slope. Larger solpe means less additional energy loss on a uphhill road while it is the contrary tendency on the downhill road. The analysis of the simulation result is consistent with the actual.

Abstract: According to hourly statistical data of road traffic accidents death toll during 1999~2004 of Zhejiang province, we found the death toll concentration phenomenon which is called phenomenon of 17 to 20 o'clock. And we discussed causes of high incidence of traffic accidents during 17 to 20 o'clock and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to reduce traffic accidents, according to the distribution pattern of deaths gender, age, travel purpose during these hours. The results of this research provide the foundation for reinforcing the traffic safety education and management.

Abstract: Traffic signs are widely used in rural highway security engineering due to low cost, strong directive performance. The paper conducts the research and discussion combined with the design principles, control points of construction technology, analysis of quality inspection and evaluation and analysis on safety effect of traffic signs in the security engineering of Cai-Gou road. This paper provides references for the implementation of security engineering principles which is safe, effective, economic, practical.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the influence factor of passenger travel selection in regional transportation corridor. From the point of inter-city traffic integration and the entire travel chain, introduced generalized cost function, established improved Logit model based on differences of travel mode choice behavior of passenger grouped by the income separately and calibrated the parameters of the model using maximum likelihood method. Finally, a case was made combined with Huizhou-Heyuan inter-city transportation corridor, analyzed and verified feasibility and practicality of the passenger flow distribution ratios model and predicted the changes of distribution ratios after the completion of inter-city rail transit in the future.
