Abstract: Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Practice in small towns shows that Comprehensive and in-depth disaster prevention and mitigation behavior is an important way to reduce disaster losses, At the same time, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of small towns is to ensure the steady development of agriculture, to meet the objective requirements of social reproduction and human survival needs. Because of this, Disaster prevention and reduction of small towns will become the only way for the sustainable development of society. This article is intended to improve Disaster Prevention and Mitigation System of small towns by new planning ideas.

Abstract: Montgomery County has been home to a strong agricultural industry, and the Farmland Preservation Program has contributed a lot. The two parts of the Program-the Transfer of Development Rights Program and the Purchase of Development Rights Program have preserved a great amount of farmland for the county and keep the development and prosperity of the agriculture. Nowadays, the recession of agriculture and the decrease of farmland are serious in China, so it is urgent to find solutions to those problems. The experiences from the Montgomery County has a certain sense of enlightenment for China to deal with the situation, such as 1) convert the development views and response to urban sprawl, 2) using economic means to solve the problems of farmland preservation, 3) establishing the development rights to guarantee the benefits and interests of farmers, 4) developing more scientific and reasonable land evaluation methods for the compensation.

Abstract: From the basic concepts and principles of systems engineering, the course system related to the slope ecological protection engineering is analayzed, which is a typical systems engineering. Talking the rock slope ecological protection engineering at Guizhou Guangzhao Hydropower Station for example, the application of systems engineering in the slope ecological protection engineering is researched. Using the technology of vegetation-growing concrete, the plan of protection and revegetation for this slope is turned out. It shows that systems engineering has a good applicability to slope ecological protection engineering.

Abstract: This article sort out and research the urban morphology of the surrounding area of Changbai Mountain, the paper selected four typical cities in Jilin Province: Dunhua, Tonghua, Jiaohe, Huadian, analyze the Changbai Mountains surrounding urban morphology development models from the historical, economic, social, geography and spatial morphology aspects, and give specific improvement measures to the development and construction of the surrounding urban morphology layout in the future.

Abstract: The rapid development of technology, industry, and civilization and the improper land production in the urban artificial ecosphere have led to severe environmental pollution and resource exhaustion. Reviewing the highly ordered and highly dynamic urban use operation mechanism is necessary for improving urban sustainable development. We used several methods based on urban ecology and sustainability of urban development theory, considered urban use as a system, and analyzed the urban land use system in terms of operation principle and the mechanism of society, economy, and environmental systems through system thinking. We also studied the causal feedback relationships of the urban land use system with system variables and divided it into five subsystems, namely, urban population, land use, industry economy, transportation, environmental ecology. We then constructed a feedback flow graph of the index and the circular operation of the common drive system to characterize effectively the state of urban land.

Abstract: The domain spaces of four stations of APM line in Zhujiang New Town, i.e., Huangpu Avenue, Women & children's Center, Huacheng Avenue and Opera House stations, were studied in the present study. The space satisfaction evaluation system was firstly established through preliminary survey and case studies, and then the satisfaction evaluation was performed by questionnaire survey and the results were obtained by statistical analysis. Some recommendations on space design of metro station spaces were proposed.

Abstract: In order to protect the Dianchi lake fundamentally, and to achieve the social and economics development sustainablely, an investigation of the sewage generation, emission and management current situation of villages and small towns in the Dianchi Lake basin was carried out. Based on the actual situation of the basin, this paper put forword methods of sewage ecological management., and explore three levels of management ideas for different pollution control requirements in every area of the basin. Abstract: The ecologic residential quarter is a kind of environmental friendly dwelling district. It is about to become main trend of residence zones. Water environment is an essential part of the ecologic residential quarter. The common practices of it are several ways. There are also means of getting ultimate purpose of it in Harbin especially considering of Harbins local characteristics. Modified green roof system, water conveyance system and Sewage purification system are viable ways for Harbin.
