Abstract: This paper aims to evaluate the university students’ perception towards nuclear energy safety in China. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 300 students who came from Northeastern University and Shenyang Jianzhu University during the period from October ,2011 to May, 2012.The results of the questionnaire survey show that the students’ concerns are not only related to their general risk perception and attitudes to nuclear energy, but also strongly related to the comparison of gender differences of risk perception and attitude on nuclear energy safety between study majors. Therefore, the results of this study provide useful information for risk management and implications of future nuclear energy policy for Chinese governments.

Abstract: Using IPCC methodology, the carbon emissions of Chinese Northeast Old Industrial Base is calculated, and the energy's synthesized impact on carbon emissions intensity is presented. The resulting shows that the carbon emissions in the three northeast provinces decreased 52.87% from 2000 to 2010, of which, Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang are individually 60.09%, 45.47% and 54.14% lower. The implications are that the energy structure is one of the main factors in carbon emission in the Old Industrial Base of Northeast China, and its industrial structure is changing greatly due to energy consumption carbon emission. To adjust optimally the energy and industrial structure, and to develop the energy technology to promote energy utilization are recommended.

Abstract: Under the condition of global energy crisis and environmental degradation, the electric power industry which supports the development of economy and society is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. There is no doubt that we should save energy and decrease the emission. A method is proposed in this paper to determine the electricity price and consumption based on the early warning mechanism and the penalty function. Firstly, the analysis of the tiered tap electricity price without any constraints based on probability is introduced. Then, we take the early warning mechanism into consideration so that the consumers can be aware of the electricity consumption clearly and modify their electricity consumption according to their own economic conditions. Thirdly, we add tier tap price with the penalty function, which makes the electricity price become a variate and more useful to encourage consumers to save energy. Finally, we give an example to illustrate the effectiveness of the models built in this paper.

Abstract: based on the present situation about coal, petroleum and natural gas, electricity, renewable resources of energy industry in Gansu province, analyze the energy industry competitive power: The coal industry structure became reasonable, the safe production and the brain drain are serious; The petrochemical industry gradually tended to cluster development, deep processing products lacked; Power grid construction developed as well, grid resource allocation capacity needs to promote ; wind resources and solar energy resources are rich, electric generating capacity is not high. Then put forward the energy industry development strategy: optimize the energy structure, adjust the energy industrial layout, promote energy science and technology innovation, improve the energy macro-control system, deepen the reform of the energy system ,further establish policies and standards for sustainable energy development.

Abstract: The practical hydrothermal system is highly complex and possesses nonlinear relationship of the problem variables, cascading nature of hydraulic network and water transport delay, which make the problem of finding global optimum difficult using standard optimization methods. This paper presents a new approach to the solution of optimal power generation to short-term hydrothermal scheduling problem, using shuffled complex evolution (SCE-UA) method. The proposed method introduces the new concept of competitive evolution and complex shuffling, which ensure that the information on the parameter space gained by each of individual complexes is shared throughout the entire population. This conducts an efficient search of the parameter space. In this study, the hydrothermal scheduling is formulated as an objective problem that maximizes the social welfare. Penalty function is proposed to handle the equality, inequality constraints especially active power balance constraint and ramp rate constraints. The simulation results reveal that SCE-UA effectively overcomes the premature phenomenon and improves the global convergence and optimization searching capability. It is a relatively consistent, effective and efficient optimization method in solving the short-term hydrothermal scheduling problem.

Abstract: Industrial integration is the trend of the modern industrial economy. It is the result of the enterprises from competition to cooperation. Industry boundaries become blurring. And industries begin to integrate. With technological innovation, business integration, market integration, as well as industry regulation reform, electricity industry and natural gas industry is towards integration. The barriers between electricity industry and natural gas industry has been eliminated through knowledge sharing, mergers and acquisitions, market reform and regulation reform in developed countries. The energy industry in China will also be integration to improve national competitiveness.

Abstract: With rapid economic growth and accelerated urbanization, energy demands have been increasing drastically in China in recent years. Thus it becomes of great interest to explore how to efficiently coordinate the relationship between economic growth and energy conservation, namely the question of shared determinants. Using the "1992-1997-2002-2005 Input-Output Tables this paper performs factor analysis for different industrial growth; and investigates how the changes in input structure (technology) and final demand structure (consumption, investment, export) could affect to the energy efficiency. It is concluded that, export and investment promote the Chinas economic development in a large extent, but at the same time they lead to energy inefficiency as a whole, just like many fast-growing industries are usually of a high-energy-consumption nature.

Abstract: This study examined the impact of corporate governance on environmental information disclosure in the China context. Our data was based on Shanghai A-share companies for the period 2008 to 2011. We examined the effect of corporate governance from different aspects. We found that Outstanding shares rate, State-holding ratio, and CEO/Chairman duality negatively affect environmental disclosure index (EDI) significantly; Proportion of independent directors, supervisory board and board sizes positively affect EDI significantly. Our results indicate that in China, corporate governance does influence the extent of environmental information disclosure significantly.

Abstract: Analyzed the dynamic interaction characteristics of Chongqing Economic growth and energy consumption between 1980-2011 based on vector auto regression model, impulse response function. The results showed that: 1 Between the Chongqing's economic growth and energy consumption exist the positive long-term stable equilibrium relationship, Chongqing's economic development depending on energy consumption is too high, to keep the economy in Chongqing's rapid economic development, energy relatively insufficient supply sustainable development must rely on the energy market, which will restrict the development of Chongqing's economy. 2At this stage, Chongqing continuing emphasis on optimizing the industrial structure to improve energy efficiency at the same time, the key is to establish and improve the energy consumption intensity and total energy demand "dual control" under the security system, weakening the energy bottleneck effect on economic growth.

Abstract: Energy is the foundation of economy for China. The economic growth depends on energy, but recent years, the carbon dioxide from energy consumption hinders the GDP to grow. Environment starts to affect economic growth and it becomes a restriction to energy consumption. Energy, economy and environment have formed a new system which is called 3E system, so its practical to study the dynamical relationships among the 3E system. This paper selects annual data from 1970 to 2009 to establish a VEC model and takes the impulse response function and variance analysis to analyze the short-term dynamical relationship of Chinas 3E system, finding that there is at least one co-integration relationship among 3E system in China. Finally, this paper discusses how the energy, economy, and environment affect each other in short term from a quantitative perspective and intends to provide some advices to draft applicable energy policy for China.
