Abstract: Driving axle intelligent design platform was completed to achieve rapid and automotive design by a computer to do a series of design work,. To make the design platform more intelligent, better educated, case-based reasoning techniques (CBR) were used to achieve the retrieve of similar examples and components variant design. A case base was established by truck driving axle with mature products as an example. Two stage retrieval methods were used to retrieve similar instances. The user interfaces were designed according to the design needs of personnel and platform requirements.

Abstract: In order to enhance machining precision of complex surfaces with a flat-end cutter, the generating method of cutter contacting (CC) paths is presented in this article. With the method of coordinate transformation, effective machining radius of a flat-end cutter had been deduced and the step-over formed by two adjacent CC paths were implemented. The parameter increment along the CC path interval direction was calculated by using geometric analysis of the local area of CC point. The corresponding NURBS path of tool center points including knot vector and controlling points was obtained from the cutter contacting points.

Abstract: Enormous river basin information has been collected by for high resolution of the physically-based distributed hydrological model, while the scales of computational domain are often restricted by the intensive calculation. The parallel algorithms of physically-based regional hydrologic soil model (P-RHSM) in OpenGeoSys are brought forward in this paper. The object-oriented C++ programming in the model approaches the two objectives: one is data structure organizations including the spatial discretization of the computation domain with nodes density arrangement and solutions communication of temporal variables, the other is computational efficiency by parallel computing. The Message passing interface (MPI) communication is implemented in P-RHSM which is carried out on Linux supported symmetric multiprocessing computers. P-RHSM is applied to Heihe basin in the northwest China. The high-resolution results of temporal soil moisture content distribution, front movement and parallel performance is presented.

Abstract: A bottleneck problem in mechanical productions design is presented in this paper. The fundamental conceptions and problems of relation design should be resolved at present. A method of relation design, which using mate relation constraint and align relation constraint and dimensions equation relation constraint, is putted forward. This way is implemented to mechanical productions relation design.

Abstract: This paper dialyzes the three elements covered by the brand, taking semiotics as a tool and applying Pierces Trinity symbolic model to the brand model for product life cycle, while based on business practices, carding in depth relevant literatures on brand definition and brand model, clarifying the three major elements of the brand necessarily involved, namely symbol, products, value and the relation by dynamic matching them, to build a brand conceptual model which is the most basic part of brand theoretical research and to innovative operable and practical brand awareness structure and brand management tool for product life cycle.

Abstract: In order to reduce the loss in production and guarantee the quality of tobacco, the mixed tobacco vibration screening technology was studied. It introduced a double-layer vibration sieve into the tobacco production of cigarette enterprise, realized two technical indicators that the screening efficiency is high and the false screening rate is low. Mixed tobacco screen effect is obvious, the dust content in cigarette fell down, the false screening rate decreased 62%, and the loss reduced 41%. It provides a very good reference for the research and application of vibration screening technology.

Abstract: In this paper one proposed to exemplify a modern solution of an automatic control of industrial production lines. The necessity to align at the requirements of industrial competition has led to a degree of automation of increasingly advanced that the human intervention into the processes is minimal. A high productivity means lower flow interruptions as manufacturing, so the systems which control these lines must operate without errors. This can be done only by testing control programs and monitoring automation systems and, also, through simulate the manufacturing process.

Abstract: Heart rate, as an important physical function index, includes various human life characteristics. Researches on figuring out the suitable heart rate changes trends of female adolescents can make contributions for manufacturing wearable clothes during sports exercises. The present paper reviews some publications of heart fitness in smart clothing, identifies directions for further research in this growing field.

Abstract: Evaluation of fashion and product design has been one of the most prominent factors among designers and researchers. Unfortunately, they usually evaluate their design by self-report that is relatively subjective. Research using eye tracking technology has begun to lead a objective way in which where and when the participants look at. The present paper reviews some publications of eye tracking technology in fashion and product design, identifies directions for further research in this growing field.
