Abstract: The infrared thermal wave technology is a new nondestructive testing (NDT) method with a kind of advantage, including non-contact, intuitionistic, fast et al. But the infrared images always have defects that the low-contrast and high-noise due to uneven brightness and calefaction in the testing process, which enhance the difficulty of following quantitative distinguishment of defects. Therefore, the improved homomorphic filtering is given in this article. The detailed processes of the method and testing results are given. The results of the experiments show that the method has higher peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), can improve image quality, which establish basis for future research of image segmentation.

Abstract: In this paper we present a simple and effective method for detecting illumination of a region from a single image. Our method is primarily based on skewness, which is a measure of asymmetry of a data set in statistics. We happen to find out that the skewness value of oriented gradients of an image can measure the directional characteristic of illumination. By choosing appropriate statistical area, we can analyze the subtle changes on the surface of an object. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that our algorithm is accurate and effective. In the end, we give its application in image authenticity verification problem which is to distinguish real and “flat” objects in a photograph, and it shows excellent results.

Abstract: Local image representation based natural image classification is an important task. SIFT descriptors and bag-of-visterm (BOV)method have achieved very good results. Many studies focused on improving the representation of the image, and then use the support vector machine to classify and identify the image category. However, due to support vector machine its own characteristics, it shows inflexible and slower convergence rate for large samples,with the selection of parameters influencing the results for the algorithm very much. Therefore, this paper will use the improved support vector machine algorithm be based on ant colony algorithm in classification step. The method adopt dense SIFT descriptors to describe image features and then use two levels BOV method to obtain the image representation. In recognition step, we use the support vector machine as a classifier but ant colony optimization method is used to selects kernel function parameter and soft margin constant C penalty parameter. Experiment results show that this solution determined the parameter automatically without trial and error and improved performance on natural image classification tasks.

Abstract: In this paper, in order to achieve high-precision trajectory control of grinding robot, the method of computed torque control is proposed based on PD feedback, a single-joint robot experimental platform was built, position and velocity tracking experiment is carried out with empty Load and load. Experimental results show that the method of computed torque based on PD feedback control has the characteristic of quick response speed and small position tracking error.

Abstract: For the requirement of the department for aviation accident investigation, a computer information system of processing the broken tape of flight data recorder has been designed. The main principles of the system are that magnetic track images are first preprocessed using image processing techniques, furthermore, the position coordinates of tracks are obtained using image recognizing techniques, finally, the data corresponding to track coordinates are obtained by encoding the track coordinates using the serial-parallel scanning method that is specially designed. The accurate ratio of automatic encoding is 99.3%. The times of automatic encoding are reduced to proximate 5 seconds from about 4 hours of two operators for one frame track image. This system is significant for aviation accident investigations.

Abstract: Intelligent assembly cell conception includes new solution kind of how to create structures of assembly system. None external industrial robot is used for manipulation and also for assembly. Intelligent behavior of the system will repose on monitoring of important parameters of the system and also will be monitored information about system interaction with its surround. Flexible conception realization of intelligent assembly systems brings many advantages such as, cell will brings flexible reactions of the system to the manufacturing changes, build up area saving, lover building costs, higher using effects of whole device. The paper is presented the description of the new conception philosophy and individual subsystems of the intelligent assembly cell. In the next phases of the project is developed the automation equipment that provides for automated motion of all assembly devices by help of the actuating elements, sensory equipment that provides for automatic monitoring of all motions, parts and physical properties of the system. It is also important to develop the control system, monitoring system and safety system included in the intelligent assembly cell. The design methodology as the developed systematic tool is used for the design of automatic equipment and control system in the intelligent assembly cell.

Abstract: Rolling bearing is the most part used in rotating machinery of industrial plant. The condition diagnosis technology of rolling bearing is very important and indispensable for the plant safety and operation stability. The purpose of this study is to improve the accuracy of the life prediction for a rolling bearing. The paper proposes a searching method for the optimum mathematic function for the high accurate prediction by using the genetic algorithms (GA).
