Abstract: Railway station is a comprehensive transportation hub. Its design and construction is far more complex than common public buildings, so as the construction management. This paper mainly explores the schedule risk management of railway station, including risk factors, risk indentation, risk evaluation and risk management. As many similar projects are under construction, Delphi technique method is most favorable for risk indentation. For risk evaluation, risk matrix method and CIM model are recommended to quantify the schedule risk. In the final part, the paper talks about the management of schedule risk. As schedule risk is abstract and its damage relatively slight, the risk prevention and mitigation are most suitable means.

Abstract: More and more electric bikes appear on urban roads. Conclusion, which based on the analysis of the differences between electric bikes and ordinary bikes in size, speed, is that existing bike-lane-width calculating method cannot meet the needs any more. This paper presents a method to correct the calculation of bike paths width in urban area.

Abstract: The aged tendency of population in Nanjing has become more and more serious. As an important part of the elders’ daily life, bus trip deserves a close examination from different perspectives and in different ways. In order to understand the travel patterns and the use of the city’s transit system of the senior citizens in Nanjing, this paper conducts a survey on the elderly. Analyses yield the overall travel characteristics, travel frequencies, and the main travel modes of the elderly in Nanjing. The rules of variation of elders’ travel behaviors with age and the choice of the main travel modes of the elderly in 20 years have been analyzed and predicted. Taking convenience, cost, speed, comfort, safety and free choice of travel time as the influencing factors, the estimation model is developed by binomial Logit model. Besides, in order to solve some common problems in bus service, we put forward some suggestions referred to other districts, as well as having an outlook of the bus service in the future.

Abstract: This paper addresses adaptive reliable shortest path problem which aims to find adaptive en-route guidance to maximize the reliability of arriving on time in stochastic networks. Such routing policy helps travelers better plan their trips to prepare for the risk of running late in the face of stochastic travel times. In order to reflect the stochastic characteristic of travel times, a traffic network is modeled as a discrete stochastic network. Adaptive reliable shortest path problem is uniformly defined in a stochastic network. Bellman’s Principle that is the core of dynamic programming is showed to be valid if the adaptive reliable shortest path is defined by optimal-reliable routing policy. A successive approximations algorithm is developed to solve adaptive reliable shortest path problem. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm is valid using typical transportation networks.

Abstract: In this paper projection method based on combination weights is inducted and applied in comprehensive evaluation for highway network planning. Considering the subjective and objective factors, the combination of AHP and entropy weight is more accurate. Index vector of each road network plan is projected to the most ideal solution vector, the quality of various plans can be differentiated by the projection values. An application example is given that has proved the model is right and valid.

Abstract: A comprehensive evaluation system was proposed in terms of operational effect, network structure, social benefits, strategic development and implementation. The indicators layer was taken as the index set, and the network programs were taken as the domain set to establish the original decision-making matrix. The comprehensive weights of the indexes were determined by the AHP and Entropy Method, with giving full consideration to the expert knowledge and experience, as well as data itself implies. Also, the weighted normalized decision-making was constructed. The positive and negative ideals were determined based on the TOPSIS, the pros and cons of the line networks were determined by calculating the degree of closeness of the programs to the negative ideal solution. This method was applied to Xi’an urban rail transit network planning. The result shows that this method has a better application prospect for its simple calculation and scientific decision.

Abstract: Urban transport demand in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone is forecast. Through analyzing current bus trip OD and calculating bus trip product and attraction, functional relations between each subzone’s public trip product and attraction, and population and post in base year is built. Then, parameters of gravity model are standardized, public trip product and attraction are forecast by employing method of gravity model.

Abstract: In order to guarantee the safety of the highway transportation and the durability of road use, reducing vehicle overloading transfinite damage to roads and dangerous driving influence on transportation security, curb corruption in traffic law enforcement, our team is based on vehicle networking technology, the video monitoring technology, RFID radio frequency technology, geographic information platform, information fusion technology, 3G network, the organic combination of GPS positioning technology, developed a freight vehicle supervision assistant system. System can not only achieve dynamic measuring weight, illegal vehicle information acquisition and processing, and also can realize illegal vehicle directional interception, dangerous driving warning and drivers complaint report law enforcement behavior, to reduce overload the accident happened at the same time, also reduce the waste of traffic administration human and financial resources, realize the driver and two-way supervision and law enforcement personnel, make the law enforcement process more fair, just and open, thus further improving the overall quality of traffic law enforcement.

Abstract: In order to analyze the impact of the highway transportation’s contribution rate of scientific and technological progress in China on the economic development of the transportation ,reaching the target of establishing the Comprehensive Transportation , Intelligent Transportation, Green Transportation and Safe Transportation ,we adopt the combination of the Cobb-Douglas Function and the Solow Method of Remainder, with the coefficient of elasticity of funds and labor output , to acquire the highway’s contribution rate of scientific and technological progress of China. From that, we attain the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress from 2004 to 2012, and through the comparison with other fields, we draw a conclusion that the contribution rate of the highway transportation is higher than other fields, and we still should continually increase the science and technology input into the highway transportation to remain a good developing tendency.

Abstract: It is found that the use of pedestrian streets varies widely in Chinese cities. This paper was intended to compare the pedestrian behavior characteristics and to discuss the effects of market competition, built environment and mobility governance of walking streets, taking three cases in Wuhu city for study. Except pedestrian flow, trip purpose, trip frequency, travel distance, dwelling time and mode share was compared based on sampling questionnaire survey. It further investigated pedestrians’ satisfaction and dissatisfaction with the streets, as well as main factors affecting pedestrians’ behavioral preferences, including the scale and types of business activities, landscape, circulation and transit service of the streets. The author concludes that market comparative advantage, pleasant walking environment and good transit accessibility are keys to enhancing the vitality of walking streets.
