Abstract: Currently, the traffic management technology used in vehicle dynamic weighing is gradually matured. However, in China, the existing technology has not been widely used in practical detection. The main reason is the high cost of the existing weighing system which has to destroy a short road during its construction, at the same time, requires arranging a lot of cables to form a monitoring network. This is not only harmful to vehicular traffic, but also wasteful in manpower and financial resources. This paper develops a wireless smart aggregates array based on the protocol for Zigbee802.15.4 and the passive piezoelectric structural health monitoring (SHM). By measuring the vehicle with various loads, the test is performed to validate the proposed Wireless Smart Aggregates Vehicle Dynamic Weighting System (WSA-VDWS). The experimental results are consistent with the results of actual conditions. The developed system is stable and reliable, which is able to be applied in real-time online tests of vehicle dynamic weighting monitoring.

Abstract: With the development of highways and the improvement in vehicle performance, vehicle speed has become faster and faster, causing more and more frequent accidents. As an auxiliary configuration of vehicle body’s passive safety, SRS (supplemental inflatable restraint system) often serves as a key component providing protection for both the driver and passengers and thus receives increasing attention. By taking the latest recall case base in 2012 and 2013 as a blue print, this paper analyzes 111 SRS-caused recalls implemented by China, the US, the EU and Australia respectively, discusses main defect forms of SRS, and finally proposes the improvement suggestions on safety techniques in design and manufacturing.

Abstract: This paper presents the current most common fatigue-driving detection methods. The advantages and disadvantages of these detection methods are compared with. Moreover, several major products of the current fatigue detection are listed briefly. Furthermore, the development trends of driving-fatigue detection technology are prospected. The author believes that driver fatigue testing standards need to be further clarified and the non-contact detection method of driving-fatigue needs to be developed deeply. Information fusion is an important orientation for driving fatigue and we should design the cost-efficient detection products for fatigue-driving.

Abstract: For the advantages and disadvantages of the traffic state identification based on fixed detector, a kind of method on the real-time state identification for the unban traffic was presented in order to improve accuracy and practical level of the traffic state identification. From analysis on detectors distribution and data collection methods, this paper carried out data preprocessing which collected from fixed detectors, then established the identification methods and thresholds for traffic state, developed the evaluation models of urban traffic congestion. Finally, the practicality of models was validated according to the traffic data collected by fixed detectors on typical roads in Qingdao city. The results show that the traffic state identification of the models is effective and with high precision.

Abstract: In order to arrive at the scene of the fire in the shortest time dealing with the accident, considering two fires occurred at the same time, taking optimal allocation of resources at the center of the fire fighting and the least time of driving to fireground as objective functions, based on automobile brake model and two-stage scheduling mechanism, to build the total time optimal model and resource allocation optimization model. Models obtain vehicle shortest transit time and the optimal resource allocation amount, it can effectively solve routing problem of the emergency rescue vehicle, resources shortage also can be solved when many accidents happen at the same time, to avoid the waste of resources and to ease the pressure of maintenance cost.

Abstract: To analyze vehicular Ad-Hoc network routing performance, the GPSR routing performance is studied using network simulation software NS2 compared with traffic simulation software VanetMobiSim. 100 nodes communicated with each other was stimulated by adding routing protocol into NS2, building the environment of simulation, setting simulation parameters and writing TCL script. The data packet delivery path was examined by trace files and GPSR routing performance was concluded through Gawk. The average end-to-end transmission delay trends to increase and the average delivery rate trends to drop when the average speed of vehicle nodes increase.

Abstract: On the basis of traffic survey, an improved simulation model is established by using the VISSIM to simulate the traffic running operation of the Beijing West Road in Nanjing, China. By considering the evaluation of the real traffic situation, two optimized solutions are proposed to relieve the traffic congestion which is caused by the traffic tidal phenomenon. A simulation model is built, with the help from the two optimized solutions. Data about travel time, queue length, vehicular delay, vehicular stop delay and number of stops are generated. Via analyzing and comparing these significant indicators, the results show that the proposed solution is better than the solution of Green-band Traffic. The VISSIM simulation-based optimization solution in this paper is effective.

Abstract: This article analyzes the limitations of calculating correlation degree based on road sections and built correlation model based on the turning flow of the intersection. In addition to the traditional contributing factors, the model considers two other key factors——turning proportion of intersections and signal phase. Therefore, the proposed model can reflect the spatial and temporal heterogeneity between each turning flows on a road section. A case study to four actual intersections is conducted to test the effectiveness of this model. The results show that the proposed correlation model can better descript the relationship of adjunct intersections and find the critical route for signal coordination.

Abstract: For the purpose of assisting emergency vehicles to move, the key is to put forward the application of Vehicle Operation Agent and Road Agent in sections to complete the dynamic route guidance process for an emergency vehicle combined with improved-Dijkstra algorithm. At last, by using Starlogo software and Matlab together, the paper completes the simulation of the emergency vehicle guidance process, to prove the effectiveness of the method.

Abstract: Traffic noise is a major source of noise pollution in the urban environment, including road traffic noise and rail traffic noise, which has become one of the domestic large and medium cities in environmental issues to be solved. This paper analyzes the status of the Beijing traffic noise pollution and control strategies, and a typical apartment block selected as a case, analyzes its noise pollution elements, severity, time distribution, and draws a noise map of the plane area and a dormitory building in the noise conditions typical time. Last we discussed and gave the method based on noise control measures.
