Abstract: This study is based on the energy audit and energy consumption analysis of Taiyuan government office building and large public building, and objectiveiy appraises the building energy consumption, makes a quantitative analysis on energy consumption situation of the energy-using building. Then we know the problems of the public building energy consumption .we can conclude that the potential of public building energy efficiency ,and put forward energy-saving measures to promote the energy saving reform of public building.

Abstract: By using life cycle theory, the main features of exiting data related to building carbon emissions and the various resources used in different building life cycle phases were analyzed in this article. Thus, an operational method for carbon emissions depended on simplified building life cycle was modeling. In addition, this article also verified the feasibility and validity of the model by calculating carbon emissions of one public building in feasibility stage.

Abstract: With the quickening of modern industrialization, the contradictions between environmental pollution and ecological cities are growing obvious,and the low carbon design of public facilities has become a widespread concern.On the basis of the analysis of the low carbon concept, its importance in the design of public facilities is put forward. Then the specific methods of low carbon design are discussed from some aspects, namely, the material selection, the structure design, recyclable products, the extension of product life, the use of new technologies and new energy.

Abstract: The aim of the present work is to evaluate the effect of wall insulation with different orientation. The author build an office building model using eQuest, analyze the cooling/heating energy consumption and utility bills with different exterior wall configurations for each orientation. The simulation used 5 different climate areas around United State as building locations. The results indicate that wall orientation does have influence on energy consumption for buildings and thus influence the utility bills ;The influence also vary with climate conditions.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to provide a remedy for the low absorption rate of absorber plate. This paper presents an experimental investigation and simulation of the optical path on the absorber plate with having different surface shapes. In the study an analysis of three types of absorber plate: a base flat-plate, V shape plate and the sinusoidal-corrugated absorber plate are presented. The results of the experiments were evaluated at the same time of the days. The comparisons of absorption rate of absorber plat were made among them. The present data showed that the absorption rate of the sinusoidal-corrugated absorber plate is the highest.

Abstract: In recent years, with the increasing of energy consumption in our country, about the energy consumption problem of teaching buildings in university becomes more and more important. In this article, through analyzing the characteristics and energy consumption situation of the teaching building in Three Gorges University, and put forward some problems existing in university teaching building energy saving and the corresponding improvement suggestions, so as to promote the construction of the economical universities.

Abstract: With the development of society, the concept of building energy conservation and reuse become more and more popular. As the result, it is important to develop energy-saving buildings and advocate low carbon life, so that it will push ahead the efficient use of building energy, and moreover, the energy saving in the daily life of the society. Nowadays, the public society has pay close attention to the green low carbon buildings as it is consistent with this trend. Starting from the concept and features of green low carbon building, this article discussed the approach of achieving the low carbon buildings according to the engineering design. In the end, this article also addressed the significance of implementing green low carbon buildings.
