Abstract: Micro cutting is a promising manufacturing method to obtain good surface integrity. Surface roughness shows size effect when the uncut chip thickness is smaller than the cutting edge radius. A special micro slot on the flank face of cutting tools was manufactured with discharge. Two groups of micro orthogonal cutting were conducted. The surface roughness of machined surface was measured and compared to each other. The results show that surface roughness decreases first and then increases with the ratio of uncut chip thickness to cutting edge radius. The surface machined with micro slot is better than that of without micro slot due to the micro slot restrain the back side flow of work piece based on the finite element model.

Abstract: Based on the topography of micro WEDM surface, lubricant retention, bearing capability, and sealing performance were evaluated by using the surface bearing index, lubricant retention index of core area, and lubricant retention index of valley bottom respectively. The results show that the micro WEDM surface with the characteristic of isotropy texture is beneficial to store lubricating oil, and the lubricant retention property is superior to that of the traditional machining surface.

Abstract: This paper presents a simultaneous localization, mapping (SLAM) and object tracking (OT) method based on laser and camera data fusion to achieve simultaneous estimation of robot state, environment features states and object’s trajectory in unknown environments. The proposed algorithm is using Full-Correlation Extended Kalman Filter (FCEKF) frameworks, and the system state is combination of robot state, feature states and object state. Object observation is come from two sensors, one is camera and the other is laser. Camshift method is used to get object measurements from camera image, at same time, consistency grid map method is used to get the same object measurements from laser ranger finder, those same object measurements come from different sensor is inputted to FCEKF, and improving robustness and accuracy of system state estimation. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective to object tracking in outdoor unknown environments.

Abstract: Currently the application of traditional centrifugal pump design theory to develop the multi-stage centrifugal pumps is very mature, but the factor of affecting hydraulic performance of centrifugal self-priming pump is still unclear. In this paper, using CFD method to simulate the hydraulic performance of the multistage self-priming pump in different operating conditions, and get the performance prediction curve. The simulation results were compared with experimental data, the result shows that simulation method can accurately predict the performance and internal flow characteristics of multi-stage self-priming pump. The impact on the hydraulic performance by water-keeper chamber and the gas-liquid separation chamber is very limited. The self-priming components can provide a better hydraulic performance. This will be as a reference for the design of self-priming pump.

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to propose a method applied in designing nursing robot which can provide life support for the elderly living alone. The overall industrial design needs to abide by the design principle based on human beings. The proposed method is put forward from four aspects of form, color, material and human computer interaction and the final innovative design is proved to be better than other similar designs and promotes the industrialization of the nursing robot in China. Under the situation of there is still a big gap in study of the nursing robot between China and other countries, our efforts will make a positive contribution to Chinese research of industrial design of nursing robot.

Abstract: This paper was concerned with observer-based dynamic output feedback controllers design with packet dropouts for augmented switched system, the packet dropouts existing both from the sensor to the controller and from the controller to the actuator. Stability controllers via observer-based dynamic output feedback is constructed for the switched system by using an LMI-based method.

Abstract: Swept method is a commonly used parametric modeling method for helical gears. For the problem of tooth profiles distortion and parameters loss in parametric design, the symmetric equations that used to establish involutes and dedendum transition curves are proposed. The boundaries between teeth and the starting and ending angles of tooth profile curve are precisely calculated. Feature-based swept methods are applied as solutions. Instance modeling results demonstrate the accuracy of the methods and also reflect their preciseness and convenience.

Abstract: Through analyzing fault information of the home and abroad CNC equipment used in the same auto parts production, the fault data fitting were implemented in this paper. Assuming time between failure probability density function and the empirical distribution function follow the Weibull distribution, A reliability statistical model was built using the least squares method and a linear parameter distribution model regression method. The linear correlation test and the Weibull distribution fault interval obtained show the fact that both the home and abroad equipment are subject to the two parameter Weibull distribution, and after calculating the three indexes of reliability assessment, a conclusion can be made that the reliability of domestic equipment in the study is slightly lower than that of foreign equipment.
